Great place to stay! They upgraded us to a private room for our whole stay. Their location is exquisite within of my favorite areas of Tokyo. They are situated among many smaller streets with great food vendors/restaurants and small businesses. The staff is ultra friendly and really receptive to any issue folks have. Would recommend!

Amazing hostel. The staff at this hostel is so nice and they make sure you’ll have a amazing time. They organize activities for the guests which makes it very easy to meet other travellers. I met some people who became good friends of mine and with whom i’ve met again later. The location is perfect and the rooms are spacious and the beda very comfortable. Would stay here again next time i come to tokyo!

My favorite hostel in Tokyo so far! The staff are very friendly, make you feel at home, and even helped my Japanese! They have lockers included with the room key and everything was super clean. I highly recommend!

One of the friendliest places I have ever had the privilege of staying in. Staff are courteous and understanding if you don't speak Japanese, and most speak English really well. The beds are comfortable, and the common room is incredibly chilled. You can play classic SNES games, watch TV and even have a vending machine and access to computers. All in all, one of the greatest places to stay in Tokyo :)

This is a great place to stay to explore Tokyo. It is within walking distance of the subway and located near all necessities. The rooms are clean and the place tidy. The staff is without a doubt the best part of Khaosan Tokyo kabuki! They are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I even got myself in a travel emergency that left me stranded in Japan and everyone at the front desk was incredibly helpful and spent a lot of time and effort in helping me with advice and contacting my embassy. It was a pleasure to stay here and meet all the wonderful people in this place! Thanks for everything Khaosan Tokyo kabuki!

Just spent a week at this hostel with one of my friends and have to say it was the most enjoyable, and easy to access hostel I have stayed at in Asia. Right off of two main lines you are able to reach almost every main hub with ease. There are numerous attractions around that you can reach at any time. Owl Cafes, big Arcades and some fantastic food. Booking was easy and the staff was beyond helpful, great English and fantastic service, to the point where we made a joke about a store being closed (It wasn't, we just wanted to surprise the staff with our new outfits!) , and after leaving the room they called the store to find out what happened!! The common room is fantastic and has a lot of ways to connect with other people if you like traveling in groups, or if you want to quietly read it was just as accommodating. Within an hour of being there we had new friends that we went all over the city with, and have plans to meet in London! I 100% recommend this place, the sister hostels (Oragami, Laboratory) Were beautiful and fantastic in their own ways, but Kabuki will always have a place in my heart. 10/10

Awesome hostel. Stayed here for 4 days. There is so much food and things to do nearby. People I met here are pretty amazing and the staff are super friendly. The rooms are quads and were a little cramped but they did have their own personal showers and bathrooms.

Yelp
Not a sleek modern hostel if that's what you are looking for. But for the price and amenities this hostel has to offer, it's not a bad choice. I didn't get to use the common spaces as I just needed a night a stay. The room I stayed in with my brother had a bunk bed, very clean and it was quite spacious and it has its own bathroom! Very very quite and that's a big plus. The roof top has washer, life saver!

Yelp
The room was clean, had a safety deposit box, and the room I stayed in (4 bed dorm) had it's own individual shower which is nice. The common room/shared living room is nice since I would generally wake up early and try to plan out my mornings; I could go down there to plan and make noise without waking up the other roommates early. The staff is super friendly and helpful in giving pointers on spots to see around the city. The only downside is it's a bit far via subway/cab to the Shibuya area (the going out area of Tokyo) since subways close at 12 AM and the cab rides are fairly pricey from Shibuya to the hostel (literally the other side of Tokyo). This was my very first time staying at a hostel so I can't say how it compares to other hostels. But from my experience here I would stay again.

Yelp
Cheap as fuck for Tokyo. This place is located in a very interesting neighbourhood. There are many attractions, restaurants, bars, markets and parks nearby. There is a metro station about a three minute walk away. You can buy cheap beer and cigarettes at the 7/11 about five minutes away. There are all sorts of foreigners who stay here as well. The toilet is very small. Beware of and be ready for a very claustrophobic bathroom experience. There are a couple of washing machines and dryers on the top floor for you to do your laundry. The staff here are very kind and they readily welcome everyone with a generous smile as well as a warm sense of humour. They gave me a map, explained the area succinctly and provided me with a leaflet to explain to restaurant servers that I am vegetarian. The most important point is that it is very very inexpensive.

Yelp
Great place to stay! Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and had good air conditioning (It was very hot when I went) The common area was very comfortable and had computers for everyone to use. It is close to the subway and walking distance to both the Skytree and the Sensoji Temple. I highly recommend.
