The grounds of the resort were so beautiful and full of plants. The Thai decor was organic and the smell of Jasmine wafted in the air! I felt so pampered by the staff as they took very good care of us throughout our stay. The incense smelled amazing upon arrival and the Chrysanthemum tea and cold lemongrass towels were refreshing. |The spa services were incredible! We got the avocado oil hair treatment with the two hour Charming Lanna body scrub and coconut oil massage. My skin felt so soft after and it was a relaxing experience.|This resort is close to many coffee shops and a short ride away from the night markets. If you want closer restaurant they are walkable as well. The pool was clean and beautiful with surrounding trees that occasionally dropped a flower in front of you as an unexpected gift!

We stayed at Khum Phaya Resort and Spa in Chiang Mai, and it truly felt like a hidden paradise in the middle of the city. The whole place is beautiful and peaceful — the pool is huge and surrounded by lush greenery, which creates such a relaxing vibe. Our room was lovely, with a balcony overlooking the pool area. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink upon arrival, which was a nice touch. The receptionist was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even allowed us to check in early and made sure our room was ready as soon as possible. Overall, we felt very well taken care of throughout our stay. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in Chiang Mai!

A truly spectacular pool and grounds. We had a swim up room, when we arrived there was a large family occupying sunbeds in the middle of the pool opposite our room. They were noisy and we had no privacy if we opened our curtains or went out on our patio area. There was no possibility of resting in our room as there is no sound proofing! The room itself was dated and dirty in parts (see photos). Breakfast was ok, though the juice and dried fruit containers had clearly been left from the previous day. | Reception and staff were not as friendly as other hotels in Thailand, and we were disappointed that we had to wait in the heat to check out, as they had to send someone to our 2 rooms to check them! Our taxi was waiting to take us to the airport while this took place as they couldn't find anyone - the room was left in a better state than when we got there!

The good||Pool is great but a bit shallow just the right temperature though surrounded by nature|The shower is pretty good|The grounds really nice and natural||The bad and ugly ||The cleanliness is truly appalling, nets above beds filthy, bath dangerous as grimy around head area and a potential legionella risk|Location is poor and well outside city but close to-the big mall|Price is comparable to Shangri-La which is 5 times better in many ways. |Noise from pool guests in our room and no privacy as sit in the middle.|Breakfast is not great and limited|Tv doesn’t work and v old|Once may have been a really nice place however everything is gated worn, eg bed mattress hard and worn.||Huge shame, we stayed 7 nights in shangrila and just 2 here - they are worlds apart on quality, service and general cleanliness. |We stayed in the swim up room at £100 a night.

Located very close to the airport, but a little away from the city centre and the old city. But the resort makes up for it in undeniable charm and the expansive swim up pool the breakfast buffet us not to be missed either. There is a market adjacent to the report where you will find a couple of cannabis dispensaries, restaurants, cafes and even some fast food places. Pro tip. They will give you two tiny bottles of water per day and if you are like me, and drink a lot of water, better to get some from the 7/11 which is about 3 mins away.

From the moment you arrive, the grounds and rooms at Khum Phaya Resort & Spa are breathtakingly gorgeous. While there were a couple of very minor areas that could use a touch more upkeep, such as some mold in the bathroom and slightly less hot water in the evenings, these small details hardly detract from the overall experience. The beauty of the resort is truly captivating, and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, making you feel completely welcome. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a beautiful and hospitable retreat. The room service is reasonably priced and very prompt. Many coffee cafes across the street are a better value with more options for breakfast.

The place is beautiful, like a theme park, well decorated, with an excellent restaurant and first-class service, especially in the restaurant. The room smells of wood and has all the basic amenities, as well as a pleasant terrace and a central pool. It's worth it if you're going with family. The downside is that it's a bit far from the city's tourist attractions.

We stayed for 2 nights on a round Chiang Mai tour (50 year old couple). Location wise it’s ok (just). In a commercial area with run down buildings and motorway but the hotel will book taxis which are quick and inexpensive (100 baht into old town but 250 return). The facilities are ok (would describe as budget luxury) but no hairdryer (?!) and the free coffee was not refilled whilst here. The rooms are clean (shower could do with a scrub) and the jacuzzi bath is nice touch). The staff are very friendly but some are in training and so food and drink orders were often wrong). The breakfast is a really good mix which caters for all tastes but the lunch and dinner menu is western (why - Thai food is so much better?!). |The real gem here is the front of house (excursion lady) who was so friendly and happy to help and share her knowledge (thank you so much for all your tips). The pool looks beautiful but it’s not entirely clean (although keeping it clean from all the overhanging foliage must be a thankless task!). Lots of lizards (including in the rooms) and the most gorgeous mix of butterflies. The water and beautiful landscaped garden was loved by us and the mozzies alike (the electric mozzie swatter they provided did not work. Loved Chiang Mai (Sunday night market and Mung Thai boxing were fun) and the street food (oh yes!!). We rate places by whether we would return - undecided (would probably look to try somewhere else). ❤️
