Khun Nam Nang Non (Nang Non Stream)

I really like the emerald pool here. The water is so clear that you can see the ground. The weather here is cool all year round. There is also a wooden bridge that leads into the forest. This place is world famous and is going to be developed into a landmark of the city but due to COVID-19 to halt. The road to the national park here is also not very good.

It is a place MUST GO in Chiangrai. It is the historic - adventure - mysterious- nature scenic in one place. Inside the cave, they still keep the materials that save 13 children as historic evidences. The most important thing before going to this place, you should study the story of loss 13 children in this cave. It would help you really enjoy, feel be belonging to the place and really surprised how children go so deep inside the cave (more than 2 km. !!) Pls respect and not destroy the place. It is one of historic places that helping powers from countries over the world.

Looks exceptional, but it's closed during the rainy season. I could see a beautiful a beautiful, tranquil, peaceful area, but I could not access it. That area didn't seem dangerous at all. I'm sad I didn't get to visit this place during my time in Mae Sai:/

It’s the emerald pond that is the highlight of the place. However, it’s not swimmable. There is a small jungle trail for those you want to explore the nature.

Nice pool which helped to drain water out of Tham Luang cave for rescue operation.

[please "like" if this is helpful] Beautiful nature to admire. During wet season, very slippery on the cement trail and boardwalk through the jungle. June is fuzzy itchy caterpillar season so beware of those handsome but menacing little insects (see photos). The park is well maintained, has informational signs, and has an administrative office as well as public toilets. Street vendors offer drinks and snacks. Alcohol is prohibited, and please keep nature clean. Recommend: good shoes that perform well in slippery surfaces, insect repellent, hat.
