Sooo it's very hard to rank this place. Why? Food is good, interesting combinations and flavors but it's to expensive. For the plate of meat from grill and cucumber I have paid 10 euros!! Seriously? I've ordered a portion of rice for 2,5, because if I didn't it would be only meat and cucumber. It was good but not so delicious to pay 10 euros. I spend 12,5 for complete dish to be absolutely hungry as hell. Dessert was very good. Dish of my friend with lettuce was also something new, good but again to expensive. Restaurant is located in cool place and staff is extremely nice, but I won't be back because I don't see the sense of spending so much money and go out hungry. It's not the michelin restaurant, c'mon...

Not sure why the mixed reviews. We have been to Thailand several times and this was very close to what we tasted there. Really nice location, great natural wines, and super tasty plates to share. Really recommend the fish, chicken and eggplant dishes.

The best BBQ I've ever had in Berlin!! Food was amazingly tasty and the meat melted in our mouths. No fuss in the service and the staff was super friendly and cared a lot for our comfort. A unique experience we will definitely have again very soon!

A hidden gem for Northern Thai food! We’ve ordered the banquet menu for 4 people which you will basically get everything that is on the menu except the specials! The food is AMAZING (and I am a Thai). This place reminds you of home and the Northern Thai food. Spicy + fresh ingredients! The concept of the restaurant is also great and the service is brilliant! Would def. be back.

This place is where the magic happens. Definitely not your random asian restaurant that serves pad thai and [insert protein] in green curry. Every dish we‘ve ever had at Khwan is well thought, executed perfectly and with high quality ingredients. Restaurants of this caliber only exist in large international cities and Berlin sure is lucky to have it.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Berlin. They serve real Thai style food. It can be too strong for someone doesn’t like spice tastes from Thailand. But i love them :) The price can be costy and worth to try if you like Thai food

The flavours were really nice, but too spicy for me, even at a requested lowest spice level. The duck was the spiciest dish we had in our banquet menu (most worthwhile way to order, for 4 people). The meat was amazing however. All of the meat. The smoked/grilled pork neck was the highlight for me with its salt and pepper dipping sauce. And the mushroom Nam Tok was lovely and flavourful. And the ribs were delicious. Most of the mains however, too spicy for me which spoiled my enjoyment (i have very low spice tolerance). Banoffee 'thai' was simply an inspired and delightful dessert for the tastebuds. The Polish server I didn't catch her name, was so good. Knew about all the dishes and was very nice. Altogether good atmosphere

I went there for bbq chicken and I was really looking forward to it. However we were told that we can't have the chicken unless we order a set when we were about to order. But it is not said anywhere even when we made reservation? They have pretty limited choices on menu which is around 7-9 dishes. The set includes 6 dishes which means you almost have to order EVERYTHING on the menu so that you can FINALLY have the bbq chicken. We are just two persons and some dishes aren't appealing to us. So we were so disappointed and ordered ribs and pork belly. I was kind of surprised when they served the ribs coz it is super small. The pork belly tastes fine but definitely not something I would come back for. Thai food is one of my favorite and I have been to Thailand for more than 8 times, the food here wasn't impressed me. Two dishes including one beer costs us 32 Euros and we felt nothing. I have to say it is not a good experience at all. The service is quite good, though.

Yelp
Finding this restaurant is part of the experience! Though exploring the gritty RAW-Gelände at Revaler Str. 99 (AKA where Khwan is) adds to the cool urban and hip aesthetic that'll await you at this restaurant, here's a tip if you want to get some food and drink into you as soon as possible: it's between Dirschauer Str. and Simon-Dach-Str.! When you wake up in your Altbauwohnung to sunlight creeping into your bedroom, be sure to act fast and make a reservation at Khwan. These tables, especially on the outdoor terrace, go quickly on Berlin's rare sunny days. With some luck, you might be able to swoop a table for two hours. I came here with a group of friends last week and the highlights of the meal were definitely the roasted Thai oysters and the barbecue chicken. I had never had roasted oysters before -- for those of you who have always been dissuaded by the prospect of the slimy texture of a normal oyster, come to Khwan to have your mind blown. A single roasted oyster is a little pricy at €5, but it's much bigger than your normal oyster. The barbecue chicken is beyond flavorful -- I'd happily order it any day of the week. Don't forget to peruse the drink menu as well. My server recommended a fantastic gin-based drink. On that note, your server will be more than happy to guide you through the food or drink menus AND charge your phone if necessary, which is a huge plus!

Yelp
Thai BBQ is wow. The menu is basically like asian tapas. You need/want more than 1 dish. The flavours are complex, very balanced and new to someone who has eaten only the usual thai food served in other European restaurants. If you like asian food give it a try

Yelp
Really cool spot in the Craft and Smoke building on Revaler Strasse. It's hard to find but in a good way. The food is delicious, authentic, and really tasty. Staff was really friendly. I took off one star because the ventilation in the place is not great and had a funky smell. Also was somewhat expensive for a popup street food project in Friedrichshain.

Yelp
Our group of 5 had an exceptional experience here. The service was friendly, attentive and our server was lovely. We ordered almost the entire menu and each dish was better than the next. The food is authentic, addictive and packed with flavor. The menu is thoughtful and innovative. The atmosphere is laid back but interesting with just the right amount of Berlin edge. As a NY'er I'll admit to being a food snob...Khwan is a place I would line up to eat at again and again. Looking forward to our next time back!

Yelp
What a rip off! Food: The food was nice, but way too expensive. A small amount of everything and in my opinion the chicken was undercooked. Which cannot happen, if you pay that much money. Drinks: The special wodkasoda with lemongrassinfused vodka was ridiculous, 8,50€ and it tasted like nothing. A glass of white wine, a really small glass of wine, was 7,90€, which is just insane. I mean it tasted nice, but giving you the exact 0,1l, I work in gastronomy as well, and i think this was barely the 10cl more like 9,5, is insane! The staff came while you were eating five times to ask if everything is fine, which I think, after the third time is just annoying. After we complained our cocktails, they offered us another one but of course not for free. So if you are that much about service and being nice and giving you a good dining experience, at least give something on the house to show the effort. And don't let you believe, it is for free. Side note: When we first came in we were greeted in english, the place seemed to be english only. Never again! 70€ gone, still hungry and pissed off! Don't go there!
