The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the food was okay in taste. However, the service was quite slow and the food was not served hot, which affected the overall experience. With faster service and better attention to food quality, this place could be much better. Hoping to see improvements on my next visi

tried the Chicken Tikka, Chicken Butter, and Chicken Biryani — all were absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and everything was cooked perfectly. A great spot for anyone craving authentic Indian food.

Good ambiance and nice decoration inside. It will give you a feeling of sitting inside a mud building. Food is good and quantity is enough to share with two/three people. We ordered lamb chop and it was so tender and juicy. Meat from the bones are falling apart. Kadahi chicken and nun was good too. I liked the mango carrot pickle, it was so fresh and crunchy. Food price is little higher side but when going with group, it is totally justified.
I will recommend to visit this place with friends and family even with kids.

People say this North Indian restaurant offers flavorful dishes and tender meat. They highlight the unique, rustic, and authentic Khyber-era feel, and the rich, character-filled ambience. They also like the helpful and amicable staff.

The service was excellent however the place was under renovation so the ambience was not exactly aesthetic. The beggars at the entrance make the restaurant entrance a nuisance. No effort was being made to alleviate the beggar situation. With the kind of profits they take in - perhaps offering free meals to the beggars and a request to not harass patrons at the doorstep would make a difference. The parking - illegal attendants were ushering people into spots - and charging as high as 150 rupees for the hour and a half we spent there in the restaurant. If there is not valet parking then perhaps and effort can be made to ensure some attendants who help with the parking so that patrons do not pay such high charges.
The chilcken tikka and another chiken kebab dish we ordered were satisfactory as starters. But they were not outstanding.
In the main dish we ordered a mutton curry and a fish curry and tandoori rotis.
By the time the tandoori rotis reached our table they were falccid and not crisp. Perhaps due to the monsoons and increased humidity. The mutton dish was prepared using mutton with excessive musk smell. It was distatsteful to eat with the strong smell of musk. The fish was satisfactory but again not outstanding. In north-Indian cooking the masala has to be cooked well - it was not in either of the main dishes. Both the masalas were a shade undercooked.
Temhe desserts were satisfactory. We are ras malai and shahi tukda.
My opinion must come with a caveat. I am a Muslim from Allahabad and come from a family of great cooks. All the far we ordered we have been having from childhood and my standards are pretty high. Unfortunately, Khyber could not match those.

A Unique Experience in the Heart of Fort
I found Khyber to be truly unique — with its rustic charm, ancient architecture, and authentic Khyber-era feel, it transports you to another time. The ambience is rich and full of character. The food was good too. Definitely a must-try if you're in the Fort area of Mumbai .
