KI Caravan Park ~ Kingscote Tourist Park and Family Units

We stayed for 9 nights with our 3 dogs and had the most peaceful and relaxed holiday possible. The powered camper trailer site was flat and and shady with the amenities very clean and accessible. We loved the position as it allowed us some lovely walks along the beachfront to meet the wildlife. Ros and Steve were so very eager to assist in any way. If the cost of the ferry was less we would be regular visitors as it truly is a wonderful place to visit, so much to see and do. Thankyou for a terrific time.

We stayed for five nights at Kingscote Tourist Park We had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Kangaroo Island The park caters for caravans, campers tents etc. it also has on site cabins. KTP is centrally located to tourist attractions and has facilities nearby including restaurants, grocer and fuel The manager, Ros, was really helpful and provided information when we had a few quick queries. The toilet and showers had all been recently renovated and were very clean. The camp kitchen was spot on. It has a cafe like atmosphere in a nice garden setting. It was clean and well fitted out with BBQ microwave, fridges etc. It had lots of tables and seating and was clean and tidy and a pleasant place to sit and dine.

We stayed here for 5 nights unpowered camping and had a wonderful relaxing time. The sites are very close to each other but was fairly quiet and closest neighbours were across from us and no one on either side. Ros & Steve were super friendly and helpful and they had updated the amenities block and added more toilets and showers also which was great. The camp kitchen was well equipped and the location is excellent being close to town but not too close. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Value for money was good also.

We stayed as two families on the powered sites with caravans. Absolutely amazing stuff. I’m very clean and well kept facilities and overall area of the park. Amazing location as we did a lot of day trips out and around throughout the entire island and we found of a very well situated caravan park to make That easy with the kids, especially being so close to the shops when needed. Definitely will be coming back to stay at this park on our next return, hopefully in the future.

Had a great five night stay at Kingscote Tourist Park with family, staying in one of the cabins. Location • Walking distance to the beach. Ideal for morning and evening walks • Directly beside the bike trail to Kingscote. Very convenient • Central base to explore Kangaroo Island. Close to attractions and restaurants Wildlife and surroundings • Koala spotted near the cabin • Wallabies around the park • Plenty of birdlife. Felt calm and close to nature Facilities • Cabins were comfortable and well placed • Camp toilets were clean and well maintained • Camp kitchen had all basic amenities needed for a family stay • BBQ and camp stove / hot plates were available and in good condition Hosts and service • Hosts were kind, responsive, and helpful • Support remained consistent even during the busy Christmas holiday period • Check in and communication were smooth Suggestion for improvement • Clearer instructions and signage near BBQs and camp stoves / hot plates would help first time users switch them on easily Overall experience • Comfortable stay • Great location • Friendly management • Family friendly environment Would recommend this park, especially for families looking for a central, peaceful base on Kangaroo Island.

We had 4 nights in a cabin. Comfortable with everything you need. Steve and Ros were helpful and friendly. They are working hard to improve the park which has great potential. Ideal spot to explore the island.

We had a total of six days (3 + 3) here. A lovely little park. Nice grassed areas to camp on. Well appointed kitchen area with barbecues, stove, hot plates, microwave etc. plus ample seating areas. Amenities clean and well maintained. Cabins also but we did not experience. Three k out of Kingscote with long beach a two minute walk away. A good spot.

A great park that’s so well located for short trips to all the great spots on the island. Really close to the great beaches in the area. The park was well laid out. Although the amenities were old they were really clean. Ros and Steve were lovely down to earth people that couldn’t do enough to make our stay a great experience. Trev and Maz
