KI Dragonfly Guesthouse

My trip to Kangaroo Island was everything I hoped it would be and more thanks to Susi and Bruno who went out of their way to make sure my experience was a good one. I had arrived without a car with the intention of hiring a bike but unfortunately developed Sciatica so Susi spent her time taking me to beautiful bays, secret creeks and distilleries. I was exposed to all kinds of crafts on the Island from wood turning to natural beauty products and of course honey and salt. I would not have found all these myself. Susi and Bruno are a gorgeous, kind couple with a knack for achieving the right balance of helpfulness whilst being totally unobtrusive. The rooms here are gorgeous if a little dark during the day but there is more than sufficient lighting to counter this. The bedding is good quality as is the mattress and you will get a good nights sleep in tasteful surroundings. Everything in the guest house is well planned and easy. Bathrooms are very clean and communal spaces welcoming and relaxed. There is nothing that you won't find in the well equipped kitchen. Outside is a sweet little vegetable garden where you can pick some veg for dinner and two lovely dogs Honey and Kimchi who add to the warm and relaxed atmosphere here. If inclined there is also a sauna and a hot tub.

Beautiful and well appointed property and photos do not do it justice. Spacious bedroom and living areas, very clean, comfortable bed, and every room so aesthetic. To those who worry that it's a share house - this one works well as it is well set up (bathrooms are huge, clean, and comfortable too). Bruno and Susi were generous and helpful yet we enjoyed our privacy. Top location and a piece of heaven in KI. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous and comfortable hotel with a very kind owner who helped us out at short notice by rearranging our booking. Quiet location and a short walk to the Kingscote CBD. Laundry facilities and a kitchen were very helpful too.

Amazing place where you feel like home thanks to the hosts, Bruno and Susi. Great shared facilities, amazing kitchen and great location. We will come back there if visiting kangaroo Island again.

Best accommodation I have stayed on the Island. So peaceful, relaxing gardens , immaculate rooms and clean 100 %perfection everything with so many home touches, few minutes walk to beach of Kingscote and main shops. Stunning property can not fault anything . Susi and Bruno truly make you welcome and make sure you ok before you go offering tips and advice to make your onwards travel safe. They are very caring to their guests as when I arrived I was feeling a bit sea sick and they got me a drink and were accomodating. Can not thank you enough and there is 2 gorgeous small dogs who will simply put a smile on your face. Most beautiful property experience from start to finish. ♥️🐬

We stayed here twice during our visit to Kangaroo Island. We picked the guest house because of its location being near enough to the ferry port in Penneshaw to get between the two easily when we arrived and left but more central then Penneshsw itself.||We were not disappointed. Bruno Suzi and the two dogs made us feel extremely welcome. We had a lovely chat to both of them and even bought a bottle of wine to share with them from their favourite vineyard.||We had an idea what we wanted to do on the island but had only booked one activity.||Suzi suggested a route around the island we could take based upon where we had booked to stay and the one activity we had booked. This turned out to be amazing with great food, wine and animal encounters. Something we will remember forever.||The kitchen is the best equipped we have ever seen. Bruno and Suzi love talking to their guests and have a wealth of knowledge about the island that any visitor should take advantage of. They bend over backwards to ensure their guests have a wonderful stay with them and on the island.||We would definitely stay with them again.

This little hotel becomes one of our best memories in kangaroo Island. Susie, Bruno, they put their hearts in this little hotel, who made this hotel super clean, homie and beautiful. We will miss kangaroo Island, as well as Susie, Bruno, Kimich and Lucy.

KI Dragonfly is an excellent guesthouse for so many reasons. Susi and Bruno are wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and easy. The guesthouse is warm, clean, beautiful. The front deck is a perfect place for an afternoon drink. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom well equipped. The kitchen is open to use and has everything one could want to create any meal. Susi and Bruno generously share their local knowledge which made the planning of our days on KI so easy. Highly recommend!

Lovely accommodation and lovely people. I was originally only staying for one night, but it turned into three weeks! Bruno and Susi are some of the nicest people I've met traveling through Australia. They gave me great advice for my travels and even advice for getting a job on KI for my work holiday visa. Also, they love to show off some of the amazing local KI goods (wine, jams, cheeses, etc) and strive for guests to have an amazing time. While I was staying on the island, they renovated the place from a simple backpacker accommodation to a warm and welcoming retreat. The brand new kitchen is spectacular, really clean, and has all of the supplies you need. The supermarket is really close, as well. The rooms are cozy and well decorated. And the bathrooms are always clean and easy to use. It really is a treat to stay at the KI Dragonfly Guest House.
