We had a great cruise with Richard. We saw lots of animals and birds. He is very knowledgeble. Janine was really kind and helpful. She arranged a cruise for us even though we didn't have any reservations and were not staying at the lodge. They made our journey to Zambia memorable!

There is not a single negative thing to say about this hidden gem. We were blown away by our recent visit: my wife, our five year old son, and I all had the time of our lives (despite catching no tiger fish due to planning our trip during the wrong season). All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going the extra step at any opportunity. The food was incredible, and Chef was willing to accommodate dietary restrictions and picky five year olds alike. The view is breathtaking. I would also like to call out Richard, for being a phenomenal (and patient) river guide. We spent the better part of three days with him on the boat, and he showed us pretty much every species that lives on the Lower Zambezi. If the sheer exhilaration we felt when we got just a few nibbles from the tiger fish wasn’t enough to call us back to Kiambi…everything else the staff and lodge offers surely is.

My booking into Kiambi was pretty random but what a find! To get the full experience of the lower Zambezi I’d look no further. It has it all: easily accessible from Lusaka, direct exposure to the true wilderness of the mighty Zambezi, comfortable accommodation with a variety of options to suit one’s pocket, great food with excellent chefs who accommodate a number of dietary options (in my case, vegan); superb elevated views across and way up the river, attentive and friendly staff, excellent river and game guides and activities that include: sunset game drives by boat; fishing; transportation by boat to the world class Lower Zambezi Park for an inland game drive for superb game and bird viewing. Right up there with one of my best ever wilderness experiences. Thank you to Janine and the rest of the management and staff.

Spend there 1 night, The lodge is simple but has all that is needed and staff was really nice. Our guide Richard and Emmanuel was really patient and you could tell he knows the river as the back of his hand. The zambezi river is so beautiful and peaceful. We saw lots of hippos, birds, some crocs and elephants as well. I love it

During our holiday in Zambia we’ve stayed for four nights in the lodge The location of the lodge is directly at the Zambezi river with a beautiful view down to the river. It’s a quiet and safe place. Even the lodge is an older one, everything was very clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. All of the employees and guides were very nice. Our trips on the river and to the national park were fantastic. Thanks a lot to the staff for an unforgettable stay.

We had an amazing experience at the Lodge. The booking went very flawless and all our questions were answered beforehand (transport, payment methods etc). During our stay, the staff was very friendly and the meals were so delicious. The air conditioned room was great and the tours we did were really great (boat trip, Safari). Would definitely recommend!
