Kibo Palace Hotel Arusha

The room was large, spacious and clean. The food for dinner was good and they had excellent service in the dining room. I had a bathtub/shower and the water was cold and the tub did not drain well at all. I was honestly too tired to ask for help or a room change after a 20 hour travel time so I just dealt with it for the one night.

Pre-safari overnight stay upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport. Room was available to use right from early morning. Basic but spacious enough and perfect for one night. Hotel comes with a pool and food and drinks were absolutely okay. Service good too! We saw monkeys playing in the hotel garden and the morning we left, two large hornbills sitting in the tree next to our room, beautiful! Town centre in walking distance. Our guide / driver collected us at the hotel the next morning and by the looks, it seems a popular starting point for many, as lots of jeeps were lined up in the parking lot.

I want to sincerely thank the front desk staff for handling my refund from trekking company smoothly and personally escorting me to the driver to ensure my safety. The housekeeping team was very patient in showing me different room types, making me feel well taken care of. During meals, the staff were friendly and attentive, always showing genuine care. Their professionalism and kindness truly made my stay comfortable and memorable. Highly recommended!

This hotel is elegant, clean, and welcoming. When dropping us off, our driver told my husband and I that we were at the best hotel in Arusha. The dining room is very upscale without the upscale snobbery. There is a nice jewelry store, foreign money exchange desk, and wellness center on site. The outside pool is gorgeous and relaxing. ||What I enjoyed the most was watching a peaceful protest march from the hotel window on a Saturday morning, and then later seeing children from the street below waving to me. The location of this hotel is within walking distance from the Natural History Museum which also houses a wonderful Artist Gallery, Not far is the Clock Tower which designates exact distance between Cairo, Egypt and Johannesburg, South Africa. ||I love the comfort, hospitality, and culture of this place.

This was a reasonable hotel for the price we paid. The room was huge with comfy beds. Unfortunately the shower did not have a door around so the whole bathroom was wet. Despite of things being run down, we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is very well kept. The staff is very friendly and will do everything they can to accommodate you. Delicious breakfast especially the lady that was making eggs. We loved our stay.

We stayed at Kibo Palace, two nights before our African safari, and one night after returning from Safari. The staff here is absolutely wonderful. They are friendly and welcoming. We did not know how worn out we would be after our “African massage“ with all the bumpy roads and dust. It was wonderful to come back to Kibo Palace and relax. The pool and outdoor area is beautiful. We felt very safe and secure here. I would recommend this hotel to anybody coming to Arusha.

Stayed just one night having arrived from Kilimanjaro airport and before heading off to safari. Very functional place with nice clean rooms. Gym is well equipped and hotel taxi took us to very nice bbq restaurant nearby. Banks easily walking distance for cash withdrawals.
