SIMPLY AMAZING! Food was 5 star and they were very attentive to offering my sister-in-law gluten free options. Be sure to take the back of house tour to see how it all comes together. I'm amazing how they can do not just efficiently but eco friendly. They make their own everything...yogurt that was amazing! The guide asked us what we wanted to see on trip and he searched til we found it all...including the hard to find cheetahs and leopards. The tents are better than most hotel rooms i've ever been in! I felt guilty that we were treated so well...we were greeted after every game drive with a warm towel to wipe off and a beverage. Hot water bottles to snuggle with in your bed and in morning games drive. Everyone at game was so thoughtful. Such a relaxing spot.

What a great place to stay, the tents are luxury, really nice, hot water bottle at night and really clean. The staff are very friendly and do all they can to make your stay perfect. The food is very good. Our guide was Dickson Mako, what a great chap, great company, full of stories, a very keen eye and passionate about the birds and wildlife alike. Special mention to Makena also who did all she could to make our stay perfect. Highly recommend doing the beading with the Masai ladies one afternoon, it’s inclusive and great fun as well as really interesting. For us we think everyone should do it.

This place is perfection. The staff are wonderful, the location even better. The rooms look out onto the Mara and believe you me we had so many "visitors" out the front, herds of elephants, buffalo, troops of baboons, a hyena, giraffes just amazing and that was without even leaving the camp. Jon our safari driver was superb showing us all of the different animals. We saw 4 of the big 5 (no rhinos in this area) albeit so many more animals, really close up and a special favourites were our trips down to the Mara River. The game drives are fantastic and the resort and the fabulous staff live up to every expectation you could possibly have. If you are thinking about selecting this resort our advice is do it!!!

Kicheche Mara North is a well situated camp to take advantage of animal sightings, or for relaxing on the camp’s beautiful patio. Our tent was spacious, clean and well equipped, with hot and cold running water, a spacious bathroom, comfy beds, power plugs, filtered water and robes. Our game drives were superb in a comfortable roomy vehicle. John, our guide, found some of the best sightings we have had in many years of safaris. We saw a cheetah at full speed catching a gazelle while dodging an angry topi, a leopard taking her kill up a tree and many more rare sights. His comments were great and he looked after us very well. Camp staff were friendly and obliging, and we were looked after very well by McKenna, Lucy, Fred and all the wonderful staff. Food is well above the quality and variety we experienced in other camps. Excellent variety of drinks including daily cocktails, mocktails, wines and beers. Our four night stay was much too short and I suggest at least a week at this special place.

We spent 3 nights at Mara North after spending 3 unforgettable days at Kicheche’s Valley Camp. The Mara North team more than lived up to the high bar set by the Valley team - the 3-room family tent was luxurious, the food excellent (staff went out of their way to make sure our daughter’s gluten-free request was met). The setting was perfect and we couldn’t have asked more from our driver/guide Jimmy who made sure we saw as many animals and incredible sunrises and sunsets as possible and was an invaluable asset when visiting local Maasai communities. We felt safe and spoilt at all times! Highly recommended!

This camp helps you avoid the crowds of the Masai Mara area while allowing you to basically view the same wildlife. The tents look like something from a Harry Potter movie. Fairly normal tent structure outside with a luxurious spacious interior. The chef was amazing and the gift shop had a large variety of locally made items. Our guide, John, made the trip extremely memorable with his knowledge of animal behavior and his ability to find almost every creature we wanted to see.

We were here in September of 2025. This is the place to safari. Luxurious tents, all the animals, great guides, wonderful food and the best people. These people really are commited to giving you the best experience you can have. I do not want to give away all their secrets as it is so fun to discover them during your stay. I am pretty sure this place cannot cannot be beat anywhere. The conservancy is adjacent to Masai Mara so animals move between tbe areas. However unlike Masai Mara you can drive anywhere off path and there are few jeeps. We did drive down to Maisa Mara one day with our guide per our pre trip plan and we had a blast but it highlighted how impressive Mara North is because of the density of animals you see and how close you can get to them. Bottom line if you want a safari that exceedes expectations Kicheche Mara North is the place.

Kicheche Mara Camp claimed a piece of our hearts. The people, animals and place were so beautiful in every respect and it was so hard to say goodbye even after three nights! Mackenna and the team are such warm-hearted, fun-loving people, we really didn’t want to leave. George, Lucy and Dickson were our amazing guides who created memories of a lifetime for us. Charles, Patrick, Damas, Terri, Clinton, ‘heart’ and the team made afternoons and mealtimes so special and fun. The food was delicious, the safari tents were so comfortable and spacious. Having elephants graze outside our bedroom was the most incredible sound I’ve ever heard. The whole experience was exceptional and it’s hard to put it into words that will do it justice. Thank you Kicheche team xx
