Kichijōji Petit Mura

Please must visit this cat cafe if you are cat lover. There is some distance from city area and we decide to give it a try and totally no regret. The counter will explain the rule and we only can purchase the cat snack at the beginning and some cat (cat wearing collar with large bell) are not advise with the cat snack. We want to ensure the stay time per ticket and to our surprise there is no time limit, this is first time we counter cat cafe with not time limit at all. The other bonus point of there service which they offer to keep your jacket/coat and bag at the counter. There are two storey inside the cat cafe and what impress us is they keep the cat cafe so clean and no weird smell at all and we don't really see any hair on the floor, you can sit anywhere you want. The most important is the cats are healthy and playful and they will come forward you, very comfortable with human being. The cafe also provide WIFI for customer to use, no worry about WIFI strength as level one and level two having different WIFI connection.

A calm, heart-healing space in the middle of the city. I spent about three hours here and honestly didn’t feel the time pass at all. There are many cats (more than I expected), each with their own personality, and the space is thoughtfully designed so both humans and cats feel relaxed. What I appreciated most was the atmosphere — it’s quiet, gentle, and respectful. The staff clearly care about the cats, and nothing feels rushed or commercial. I came in a bit tired from traveling and left feeling recharged. If you’re looking for a place to slow down, breathe, and just be, this café does exactly that. Highly recommended, especially for solo travelers.

We visited mid evening on a Saturday. The complex, which is composed of a few adorable but tiny buildings, was overly crowded. We queued to wait and were able to walk around for a bit. The wait for the cat cafe was not so long. There was a blanket entrance fee for person, and inside a wide variety of drinks. I ordered the strawberry chai, which was delicious and well priced. I additionally ordered a hot dog which was delicious! Unfortunately, while there were plenty of cats on the ground floor, we were escorted to the second floor where there were no cats and told not to leave after the drinks came. After sitting, we did not interact with a single cat the entire visit which was very unfortunate. The cats we did see though looked healthy and well cared for. The iPad was a little difficult to operate even after switching to English. Had we been able to interact with a cat at the cat cafe, or had the complex been less crowded this could have been a 5 star review.

This place is honestly straight out of a storybook. The whole café has a whimsical, fairytale/Ghibli-like atmosphere that makes it feel really special and cozy. even just walking around is fun. The food and drinks were surprisingly good for a themed café. We shared the chicken pesto sandwich and it was fresh, flavourful, and filling. The hibiscus rose tea was delicious and super refreshing. perfect light options while you relax with the cats. The gift shop is also AMAZING. There’s a huge variety of cute cat-themed goods. stationery, art prints, keychains, handmade crafts, mugs, and little collectibles. and a lot of it is very affordable. Honestly, you could spend ages browsing. It’s a great spot for unique souvenirs or gifts. The only downsides were the ticketing and crowd management. The entry system felt confusing and inefficient, and once inside it seemed like too many people were allowed in at the same time. Because of that, the cats looked a bit overwhelmed and mostly disinterested or hiding, so interactions were limited. Overall though, it’s still a really charming experience with good food, lovely drinks, and one of the cutest gift shops I’ve seen. With fewer guests at a time and a smoother check-in process, it would easily be 5 stars. Still definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.

The place is not a theme park. It's a small courtyard with a few small shops and a cat cafe. The cat cafe is OK, but feels a bit underwhelming. When I visited it wasn't crowded, but I don't feel the cats were in good spirits. They are old and quiet, and probably don't enjoy living in a cat cafe. The attendant doesn't speak English well, and the guidance on payment is confusing. While you need to call the attendant to give you a payment slip, you have to pay at the door via self service. While it isn't obvious, you can pay the fee by mobile pay or credit cards. When I visited there was no line since it's a rainy weekday aftery. I walked in without a reservation, and spent 30 minutes there. I don't feel like coming back. Not sure why, but the cat cafe feels a bit depressing, maybe because the cats don't look particularly happy. Or, you just want to spend some time in a cozy quiet place with some cat, but they make you read a book of a ton of rules before you are allowed to do so. (I get it, some people don't know how to deal with cats so it's for safety, but the process feels a bit intrusive.) If you have to reserve or wait in line to visit, I don't think it's worth it.

Super cute cat-themed cafe with a lovely shop. The teas are so good. We tried 3 types of fruit tea. The cat-shaped french toast was very good. If you are a fan of Seventeen, Jun came here too. This place closes to the Ghibli museum. Really worth a trip if you visit the museum!

We explored Kichijõji on our first day in Tokyo. Being so warm still it was lovely to have a space to relax, not feel rushed and enjoy all the cat company. The little stores in the complex were great! Lots of support for small business. If you’re a cat person, it’s a must. So obvious the staff care about the cats, we enjoyed it and it didn’t feel forced.

Fantastic experience at the outdoor café with a cider drink and “wobbly” jelly that make a perfect combination. The service was very attentive and special, and the setting was beautiful. Inside the “park”, we were captivated by the imagination of those who designed the buildings and the outdoor space. However, it’s worth noting that in the indoor café, there was no care for the customers, and the approach was rather rude.
