The campground is great in itself, the new bathroom is very clean and warm inside and there are sinks to wash dishes in (no hot water out of those though). Unfortunately, the site we stayed at was closer to the road and we could hear trains going by all night even with ear plugs. The regular non RV sites are also quite small.

This is one of my favourite campgrounds. Really great scenery and huge mountains all round you. Train can be loud if you’re not near the creek or river. Haven’t had any luck getting a site here this summer as they’re always “full”. Stayed at Monarch on Sept 10th as they were full at kicking horse. But when I walked through the campground with my dog later that night at 2100. I counted 9 open and empty sites but the sign still said full… please do better and implement a cut off for folks not showing up for their reservations. And have more FCFS sites available. It really is frustrating.

Really liked this campground. Great shower facilities with tons of spots so no wait. They had plugs and phone chargers available which was super nice. Looking up to the surrounding giant peaks was a nice backdrop and somehow the river was not that buggy (not sure why, mid August and seemed like prime mosquito territory).

Excellent campground. Our site (16) had great privacy and tree coverage for a tent. Bathrooms were mainly clean but the shower floors could’ve been cleaner. Neat recycling and trash facilities, as well as a cooking area. You definitely hear the road and train line throughout the night but generally a great spot. Much nicer than more populated sites around Banff. A great option for your Rockies trip.

Nice campground. Had everything we needed. Washroom facilities were the best we had on our entire two weeks on the road. Great shower rooms. Also looked good for families with facilities available and theatrical/educational information put on in the evening time. Very wholesome! Did it's job perfectly for our night stay. Thanks!

Decent campsite, especially if you can get on the creek. Location wise it's good, sites are nice, the only issue is the lack of bathrooms.. depending on which site you're on, you could be a 10 minute walk away from the nearest facilities. Not even simple outhouses scattered throughout.. just one main bathroom facility on one side of a huge campground. Just a bit odd. Mornings found most of our group actually carpooling to the bathroom. Carpooling.. at a campground.

This campground was great and has pretty much everything you could need for tent camping with a family. Firewood permits, fire ring, playground, shelters, showers, bathroom with electricity and hot water, running water, and cell service. Close to hiking trails and beautiful points of interest in yoho NP. We loved our one night stay. The river views were an incredible spot to have morning coffee. Our kids love having a playground to meet new friends. The bathrooms and showers were kept very clean. Our tent site had plenty of room for two tents.

Great campground! We stayed near the new washroom. The washroom was very clean and well maintained. Lots of hot water. We were provided firewood. Our site was pretty level for our 25’ RV. There were lots of Mountain View’s and some hiking trails down to the beautiful river. The new playground was a hit with our kids. There was a little bit of road noise from large trucks coming down the pass, but it wasn’t terrible and was still very quiet. Overall we had a great experience.
