Frisco, Texas Is Having a Major Moment, What to Know

"The North American debut of the interactive KidZania concept (opened in late 2018), designed for elementary-age children to role-play real-world careers in a scaled 'city' where they can earn kid-currency, spend it, and even experience civic lessons like paying taxes through hands-on, educational stations." - Cynthia J. Awesome place for kids. Would I be back? Absolutely not. Why? - if don’t make sense to me to charge adults a higher price than kids when it’s originally for kids. Adults literally do nothing but walk around - it don’t make sense to me to have a lot event at the same time, if you don’t come when they open you won’t get the try everything. - They won’t start activities unless they have 4-5 kids in a group. We went on a day it wasn’t a lot of people and couldn’t try everything cause the groups was only 2-3 kids. - if it’s to many kids then you’ll have to wait - a lot of the activities was closed. The construction zone looked like it - a lot of activities closed an hour before the business closed. - they close at 7 but a lot of activity stoped at 6 only a few at 630. If your not gettin here by at least 2/3 you won’t have a change to enjoy everything The schedule and times don’t really make sense and how it has to be a certain number of people for an activity to start. It’s literally better to take ur kids to chunky cheese. Just being honest

I love taking my child here, she learns so much, like what the jobs do and how to manage her money. The day prices are high but there's an affordable monthly membership, which is around $30/month. There's all kinds of careers kids can learn and explore like working at a hospital, airport, tv studio, police station, fire station, and more. Sometimes they're short staffed but that depends on the day you go, if it's a holiday, and what time you go. They offer age appropriate experiences and designated schedules for toddlers too. Some involve parents too-- like during the EMS job a parent could pretend to be a patient on scene when the ambulance arrives and the kids learn what they need to help the patient. There's a "parent daycare" upstairs where they can relax and make phone calls if needed. It is safe and secure, they have metal detectors and check bags. Each child and parent gets a bracelet, kids can't leave without it. The bathrooms are accessible and clean. They have elevators. We recommend this, we hope more kidzanias are built in Texas!

If I could leave a negative star I would. This place is literally way too over priced for no reason I highly recommend you don’t come here and go anywhere else. It takes about 30 minutes waiting which something that children hate to do is wait, and just for each line to only take 6-10 kids in each area which is ridiculous then the kids that didn’t get in will have to wait for the next slot. So honestly I feel it’s such a major waste of time. My 3 year old wanted to get on the fire truck and I asked if he could just ride it with his siblings at least the women said no that I can upgrade $40 difference just so he can ride a fire truck. Absolutely insane in my opinion. Most workers were rude and ignored you or wouldn’t speak to you, I just simply feel that it wasn’t worth it at all the experience was horrible. Horrible service, overpriced, waste of time. The only best part was maybe the pictures you could take of this place but besides that nothing else.

Good parking. About 15min wait in line for each activity. Pretty over priced food. Everyone has to pay for entry even though adults literally have nothing to do inside. Staff were all pretty great. Good number of the parents suck. Folks skipping lines, stealing, and otherwise being rude. I wish they had more staff around to answer questions.

Kidzania is not worth the money or the hype. We were expecting a great experience and were left with disappointment. Many of the exhibits were closed. We experienced long lines and/or waits to do one attraction. This took up majority of our time. The schedule for different age groups is understandable, however it’s inconvenient when some of the places a kid is interested in has the same time and have to wait 30-45 minutes for it to start again for the specific age group (2-3). I would not recommend nor will I return. If a refund was possible, I would most likely ask for it.

I wanted to share my thoughts regarding our recent visit. While I experienced a range of mixed emotions, I feel that the activities were better suited for children under 10 rather than for those up to 14. I was also somewhat disappointed to find that several areas of the facility were closed, and because there were multiple camps visiting, we were unable to participate in many of the activities. In my opinion, the cost of the facility did not reflect the overall experience provided.

This place looked to be a great adventure for our kids to teach them about everyday life events but the experience was horrible. The front cashier a young lady has poor customer service. We went for the first time and arrived early. We were the second customers there before they opened. As we approached the desk to ask about pricing she was rude and offered little to no explanation of each packet that was offered we were only told to scan the QR code and find out. She had a bad attitude and lied to us several times about things we weren’t aware of. We spent $200.00 so I would think the customer service should reflect. She said we can’t bring drinks in and clearly others were walking around with coffee and drinks. She said we would have to finish our drinks before entering the facility. Also as a parent we aren’t interacting with anything but we have to pay a fee!!!! (SO IN REALITY YOUR PAYING TO BABYSIT YOUR OWN CHILD. Then as we entered our first stop the bakery we never used any aprons or got any equipment it stated in the bakery shop it was a fast in and out session. We all were puzzled because they literally spent 3 minutes in there. Then we got to the fire truck and they put the kids on no equipment. But hats off they were very energetic and motivational (FIRETRUCK TEAM ROCKED)!!!!! To say the least this place is dark and dim it’s gloomy and need more lights. We walked into the gift shop to redeem our point DONT WASTE YOUR TIME IT HAS NOTHING TO REDEEM BUT LEFT OVER CANDY AND A CHRISTMAS STUFF ANIMAL. The lady in the gift shop was watching tv the whole time and didn’t care what we were doing all the gifts are old and worthless she didn’t. We then spoke with the team lead first and she was no help AT ALL!!!! We was SUPPOSE TO GET A REFUND AND SPOKE WITH THE manager Mariam and she promised a full refund due to the poor service and was understandably she then took our phone number email address and supposedly processed us a refund NO REFUND AND ITS BEEN ALMOST 2 WEEKS then went into the gift shop and ran into the other manager name JAMES He listened to our complaints and as well stated the need for a change in the company. which did superb at making sure we were accommodating they offered a refund and deeply apologized. I give them a 0 star if I could because they showed concern and listened to our complaints and was willing to resolve them we appreciate they service. I wouldn’t recommend this place until they change out some workers and upgrade their facilities.

We got our KidZania tickets online, two kids and two adults in Business Class for $192. Honestly, it wasn’t worth it at all. There was no line when we got there, so paying extra for Business Class made no difference. The only thing you get is a free drink and a cupcake. And even that was a mess. During cupcake decorating, they ran out of plates, so the kids had to decorate on popcorn bags. That was just crazy and super unprofessional. A lot of the stations were closed because they didn’t have enough staff, and the ones that were open weren’t run well. Some of the staff were rude. They kicked my kids out of the construction area and just kept saying it’s closed without explaining anything. Overall, it felt like a waste of time and money. Most of the fun stuff wasn’t even available. I wouldn’t recommend going and definitely don’t pay for any upgrades. Not worth it. Would never recommend it.
