Frisco, Texas Is Having a Major Moment, What to Know

"The North American debut of the interactive KidZania concept (opened in late 2018), designed for elementary-age children to role-play real-world careers in a scaled 'city' where they can earn kid-currency, spend it, and even experience civic lessons like paying taxes through hands-on, educational stations." - Cynthia J. We had an amazing experience!! Don’t believe all the negative reviews! We came in from Winston Salem, NC for my son’s 10th birthday. Well worth the trip. We were one of the first ones there when they opened and left around 4:30. My son had such amazing time. Everything was well laid out, staff was so friendly and patient with the kids. There was so much to do and the times posted at each job made it easy to plan each activity. Considering how long we were there and how much my son was able to do the first class tickets were worth the money. I don’t think could give any down points. I expected not all the activities to be open but it was still well staffed. If we didn’t live so far away we would definitely be back!!

Kidzania Dallas was a huge disappointment for the price. We paid $195 for first-class tickets for two kids and two adults, and the experience did not come close to justifying the cost. If tickets are sold by the day, there should be a strict cap on the number of kids allowed. It was extremely overcrowded, with long lines everywhere and not enough staff. I personally saw the same staff member trying to manage two active rooms at once, which explains why several activities never even opened, including the fashion studio and acting academy. We spent 5 hours there, yet the kids only got to experience 5 activities total. Two of those required reservations that we only got because we paid extra for first-class tickets. Even then, the reservations were delayed, and we still had to wait in line for the activity to actually start. One of the most frustrating experiences was the yogurt activity. Our reservation was at 6:30 PM, but we were rushed because the place was closing. We were only there for about 10 minutes, didn’t get the full explanation of how yogurt is made from milk, and the kids were basically just handed pre-made yogurt to fill a cup. That was it. Yes, the concept is fun, but between the crowds, waiting times, lack of staff, rushed activities, and limited hours (only open from 12–7 PM), this place is severely overpriced. For what you pay, the experience should be far better managed.

I love taking my child here, she learns so much, like what the jobs do and how to manage her money. The day prices are high but there's an affordable monthly membership, which is around $30/month. There's all kinds of careers kids can learn and explore like working at a hospital, airport, tv studio, police station, fire station, and more. Sometimes they're short staffed but that depends on the day you go, if it's a holiday, and what time you go. They offer age appropriate experiences and designated schedules for toddlers too. Some involve parents too-- like during the EMS job a parent could pretend to be a patient on scene when the ambulance arrives and the kids learn what they need to help the patient. There's a "parent daycare" upstairs where they can relax and make phone calls if needed. It is safe and secure, they have metal detectors and check bags. Each child and parent gets a bracelet, kids can't leave without it. The bathrooms are accessible and clean. They have elevators. We recommend this, we hope more kidzanias are built in Texas!

Google
If I could leave a negative star I would. This place is literally way too over priced for no reason I highly recommend you don’t come here and go anywhere else. It takes about 30 minutes waiting which something that children hate to do is wait, and just for each line to only take 6-10 kids in each area which is ridiculous then the kids that didn’t get in will have to wait for the next slot. So honestly I feel it’s such a major waste of time. My 3 year old wanted to get on the fire truck and I asked if he could just ride it with his siblings at least the women said no that I can upgrade $40 difference just so he can ride a fire truck. Absolutely insane in my opinion. Most workers were rude and ignored you or wouldn’t speak to you, I just simply feel that it wasn’t worth it at all the experience was horrible. Horrible service, overpriced, waste of time. The only best part was maybe the pictures you could take of this place but besides that nothing else.

Google
Don’t know if I just went on a bad day, but I didn’t like the fact that it was such a long waiting time for activities to open up. I also found that most places weren’t available due to shortness of staff. The restrooms weren’t the cleanest either. Seems like they are short in staff for maintenance, housekeeping , and activity management. Very expensive too for what you end up experiencing

Google
Its a cool concept with poor execution. They definitely need to hire more people. The Turner Construction Site is the main draw, but was closed both times we came. The lack of staff means there are really really long wait times for the few available activities.

Google
We took our 4 grandkids ages 7-10 to the kidzania at the Stonebriar Mall. They were able to do all their favorite ‘jobs’, such learning to be a pilot and rock climbing! I subscribe to their emails to get a discount when we go! The kids and I love it!

Google
Good parking. About 15min wait in line for each activity. Pretty over priced food. Everyone has to pay for entry even though adults literally have nothing to do inside. Staff were all pretty great. Good number of the parents suck. Folks skipping lines, stealing, and otherwise being rude. I wish they had more staff around to answer questions.

Yelp
Overall kids had fun. We went Friday PM. Some summer camps there but overall wait is not too bad . Some has availability right away. Some we have to wait for 15-20 mins. Kids did maybe 8 activities and we have time to do 2 more , but they were done . Some activities cost money, for example bakery . pizza making is $12 per person. Yogurt making is for highest kind of ticket only, unless there is space . I would say it's best for 4-8 year old . Some of them are too childish for 10 year old .

Yelp
It really feels like checking into a whole little city which is such a neat and creative concept for kids! I haven't seen anything quite like it. Everything is so well thought out: there are eateries where kids can make their own pizza or learn how yogurt is made (and then enjoy it!), a gym, pest control station, bank, fire station, theatre, news set, Spotify recording studio, flight simulator, the list truly goes on. How cute is it to "check in" at an airport security line? I absolutely loved that concept as it was both a clever and immersive touch! However I'd like to think it was meant to function as a real security checkpoint as well, but I did notice that even when alarms went off, people weren't actually checked. Entering a place full of kids, that was a bit concerning. It's a great idea, but I hope they take that extra step to ensure it's not just for show and that safety is truly prioritized. I also appreciated that it wasn't overly crowded during our visit, which made the experience much more enjoyable. From chatting with others, it sounds like that's not always the case, and I can imagine it would feel overwhelming if it were packed. That said, I do wish more of the "establishments" and activities had been open. It seemed extremely short-staffed, and quite a few areas were closed or without staff to guide the kids. I would've loved to see the theatre in use, the taco stands open, and the upstairs space available -all of those plus many others were closed during our visit. For the activities that were open, the staff seemed stretched thin and outnumbered by the children. There really needs to be a better system for timing and scheduling. Maybe a sign-up or reservation system for each activity would help -- running from line to line only to be told it's full (or canceled) gets frustrating. I think that's what the Fast Passes were meant for, but even then, breaking up groups that had already been waiting together felt inconvenient. Allowing everyone to reserve activity times would make for a smoother, more enjoyable experience for guests and staff alike. The wristbands were a great idea, definitely appreciated and necessary. They keep parents and kids honest about ages and ensure kids only join age-appropriate activities. They also track their "earnings" and likely serve as a security measure too, which I loved. However, with the short staffing, there needs to be a better process for scanning them in and out of each area. Waiting for scans, especially on the way out, delayed us from getting to our next scheduled activity several times. The adults only IKEA inspired lounge was a nice touch for those with slightly older children who can run around more independently. For the age group I was with, and given how unorganized the staff and session timings were, there was no way we could've left their side but I can definitely see that space being a great perk for other adults. This is what I could understand adults being charged for, outside of being able to simply get away with it as you can't and wouldn't send your children in unattended, I don't understand adult entrance fees. Other than it being a deterrent for those who do not have children to enter with. It would also be nice for maybe an informative video before entering to make kids aware of "earning" and what deducts from their total points, what's available to do, etc. almost like a "briefing before heading into the city" It's a fun and clever concept overall, but I think a few operational, staffing, and security improvements could make it truly exceptional. No photos to post as they include children. I didn't think to take photos of all of the empty, non operating areas. But again, it's truly its own little city with a variety of places.

Yelp
KidZania is extremely expensive especially since you have to pay for the adults as well. Kids get to hop around to different occupations to try their hands at different vocations. There are a limited amount of seats so you have to wait in line for some of the more popular careers. Each session is about 15-20 minutes long. You can do anything from being a musician to a firefighter to a podcaster. You can earn "money" doing some jobs (i.e. Veterinarian, Hair Stylist, Athlete), but you have to pay for others (i.e. Pilot, Chef, Baker). I would recommend this place for kids between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. If you have any money left, you can purchase prizes like candies and toys. The prize shop isn't worth going to unless you have racked up a lot of money over several visits to KidZania. The food court is tiny as the only options were pizza or popcorn. The taco shop was closed when we went. If you want the kids to learn how to make pizza, you have to pay extra for that (~$12). Basically, kids run around and have fun while parents wait idly until they're done "working." If the parents don't get to participate, why make them pay so much?

Yelp
Kids review from a 8 and 7 year old: it was pretty boring. The workers weren't helpful, we waited really long time for every thing. The prizes were lame, there wasn't anything we wanted Parents review: horrendous execution. Wait in line, but not given wristbands, back in line, get wristbands but the employee forgot to give the money- back in line. Zero explanation how anything works. So here's how it works: purchase an overpriced ticket- yes even for parents who are just standing around because there is no where to sit near your kids. Stand in a line- each line lasts AT LEAST 20 minutes, then the activity for 4+ lasts another 20 minutes. Get money for doing "jobs." Spend money at the end in the department store, mind you ONE smarties candy may be all you can afford after 4 hours of work. Now here's where explanation helps which the staff can't seem to manage- if you have an under 4 and over 4 children- they can't do any activities together. There is a toddler time and then a children's time slot. The staff's solution: stay with the toddler and let your other child go around by themselves because it's an enclosed space. That's what one employee said. This is not an enclosed space- you have direct access to the mall, so many places to hide + an upstairs. You are not finding your 4 year old quickly. So you will be stuck waiting for the children's timeslot and the toddler one. Not all activities are open, many were closed due to staffing. There is only about 4-8 kids that will be allowed in at a time. The activities don't start one after another for the age requirements- for example, 4:00 may be the wait time for 4-12 and then 4:30 is the wait time for under 4. Scan the QR code for the wait times and open activities But my advice is don't get. It's so expensive, poorly staffed, poorly executed. Kids were on their phone and complaining, parents were complaining.

Yelp
We came here for my daughter's field trip and had such high hopes for this place since we were going to be the only school here. Wrong very wrong. Our school is large and we had a whole bunch of groups, this place was not prepared staff wise. None of the places opened inside for over an hour of being there so groups were lined up at two locations. The kids spent most of the day walking around or waiting in line. Once the other places opened only like 5 opened up. There was nothing to do kids were getting restless and overall it was a terrible experience. The concept is great but the lack of staff that day to actually make the experience great really fell short. You knew a school was going to be there, so prepare for that.
google avatar

Monica L.

Yelp
This place has really gone downhill in the past year or so. Many of the experiences are closed, and the ones that are open do not take groups back to back, which means that kids are waiting even longer than before to get in. The staff seems so nonchalant, tired, and sometimes rude. Fountain drink machines are constantly broken. Nothing else to eat but pizza, and unfortunately you are not allowed to bring your own food. I have already cancelled my membership. Something needs to be done STAT.

Sarah H.

Yelp
It's one of those places you want to visit just once. Took my kids and the cost to get in is high, $49.95 for children (ages 4-14), $16.95 for toddlers (ages 2-3), and $16.95 for adults, with babies under 2 getting in free. And they limit the activities on age so ages 5 and below doesn't have much to do given this isn't a free play place. After going with my 6yr and 4yr I would say this place is more suited for 8-12yr. If this had a free play experience then the younger kids would have more fun. We spent more time walking around trying to find the next location of the next scheduled class than actually doing anything. Once we found the class the lines were so long we had to go find something else to do as the classes only take a few kids at a time and are scheduled and the next time the class will be open could be hours. So not being able to do most of the activities wasn't something I'd care to go back to. My kids got tired of walking around mostly watching other kids play so we left. https://schedule.kidzaniausa.com/ https://dallas.kidzaniausa.com/kidzaniaguide#Map

Yelp
This was an experience! My daughter is 6 and she loved our visit. We didn't know what all to truly expect. I will say that we are thankful for the guide that we ran into soon as we entered as they gave us a full run down on how to operate and maximize our time. I note this because I noticed that there were other parents who weren't privy to this information like start times of experiences and the concept of money, which I think could've affected their experience. We went on a Saturday so it was very busy. None the less i highly recommend parents to take their children especially 6+ as there is much for them to experience

Yelp
I would love to give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately I cannot. Very cute concept and the kids seemed to really like it. Went on a field trip which included our school and 2 other schools. Check in process was smooth and quick. Once inside the kids are free to go to any job. Most of the jobs were closed which really sucked. The main attraction is the airport and it was closed. There were a handful of jobs open, causing long wait times. This is not a playground and the staff takes their time to teach the job and allow the kids to perform the job which is so cool. Tips: Bring cash! They give the kids money to start the jobs. Some jobs you earn money and some attractions you pay to play with the fake money. However, you have to have cash for 7 Eleven and Pie Five, not sure about the places that were not open. Advice: Hire more staff, make sure majority of the attractions are available, especially the airport. Cut down the time for the jobs to make lines go faster. Make sure people are getting their monies worth. Had I paid to go here, I'd ask for a refund. Will I go back? Absolutely! And would hope that more jobs are open. Closed jobs/attractions: Airport, construction site, Colgate, Fashion Studio, Bakery, Pie Five, Planet Fitness, Police Station, Bank, Passport Office, Zecret Intelligence Agency, Happy Taco, Jam Session, Art Studio, Theater, Corner Store. I'm sure I missed a few.

Yelp
This place is a complete rip off, a waste of time and money. There are different stations for kids. Restaurants, dental office hospital, podcast, pet store, etc. Your entrance fee buys the kid some "z" dollars. Some stations cost money to enter, others the kids earn money. The problem is that lines are long so you wait for 30-45 minutes to get in. Then the kids listen to presentations. There is little actual physical activity. Kids can only do a couple of those and then they are bored or tired. They let in too few kids per group and presentations are too long. It took us a while to figure out what to do. There are no instructions and the whole thing is very poorly organized. It was not cheap, over $100 for 2 adults and a child to stand in lines. We got the cheapest admission. Plus, the bracelet you need to enter is $7 extra per person, not included in admission price. It's like buying an airline ticket that does not include a seat. The cheapest kid admission is $48. Adults are $15. Plus the $21 for bracelets to enter, and everything is taxed. It is not worth it. The only way that this place makes financial sense is if you do lots and lots of stops, but you can't because lines are so long. We were here for about 3.5 hours and did four activities. I would not recommend this place and wish we had saved our money. Complete disappointment and waste of money. There are very few activities for kids that I dislike. I strongly dislike this place. The wife agreed that it little more than a money making machine. The entire model needs to be re-thought. Presentations are way too long. They need to be shorter so people do not stand in long so long. As is, the model is constructed to make money, not to make a pleasant experience for customers.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. It's like 100,000 sq ft mini town for kids where they can shop, eat, earn money and play. I can't rave about this place enough. My 2 year old and 3 year old had an excellent time.
google avatar

Christine J.

Yelp
We had a decent experience at KidZania Dallas, but there were a few areas that could use improvement. My child is 4 years old and still needs some assistance with tasks like handwashing. During the pizza and yogurt activities, the instructors didn't step in to help her, and I had to go in myself to assist. Some of the sinks also weren't working properly due to sensor issues, which made things more difficult. At check-in, we were told to skip the main line and head straight to the scanning station. While that helped speed things up, it would've been really helpful to have a greeter or staff member inside to guide us on what to do or where to go next--especially for first-time visitors. With a little more staff engagement and clearer direction, the experience could've been much smoother.

Yelp
As everyone has said it's a great concept. This is probably better for someone who lives locally and gets a pass so they can come back and explore all the options. It is pricey and it's silly that they charge for the parent to take up space waiting around for the kids. Definitely better suited for 6 and up and better for kids to go with friends so they have someone to hang out with. They really could make this place more organized. Since actives are scheduled and limited in number of kids, they could have it organized so kids could do an scheduled tour and make the most out of time. As many people mentioned, you waste a lot of time waiting around in lines for the activity. For three hours we did two jobs. We also ate and opened a bank account. The kids had fun but it was definitely a special occasion event to spend so much on such a short activity.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
Kidzania was one of the things we were really looking forward to on our weekend in Frisco and we stopped in at the 2PM slot. I really do love the concept on what they are trying to do here, but frankly most of the time we spent there (nearly 3 hours) was spent waiting. I had in mind that many of the shops/stations would be more of what you see at some kids museums where kids can quickly experience the setting before moving to the next one. With most of the stations taking 6-8 kids and the duration lasting 15-25 minutes, and aren't staggered, so you and your little ones will spend quite a lot of time waiting. Not to say we didn't have fun! Our little one did enjoy the fire station and it makes sense for a station like that to have a wait time. That said, I just wish they had other stations/things to do that were more like games that were more fluid to break up the monotony of getting in line to wait at another station as even our little one was getting bored. So I don't if we would try out Kidzania again, I just don't feel like we actually were able to do much in the span of 3 hours for the price, given that it wasn't that busy.
google avatar

Yelp
So I want to start by mentioning that I have been to the KidZania located in Bangkok, Thailand with my niece about 10 years ago and it was AMAZING. The concept of this place is beyond cute and something I would have loved to do as a child so I wanted my 6 year old son to enjoy it. It's a small kid-sized city where the littles are able to engage in different career choices to earn money then they can use that money to pay for certain activities or prizes. I didn't expect the experience to be quite the same (USA v Asia) but there's definitely some lacking that should be brought to attention. The biggest issue I had with this place was the attitude amongst majority of the staff (there were a couple of fun ones), you can tell just how much they don't want to be there or deal with children. Couple this with the fact that not all job sites are open and the wait time for certain activities can be 30+ minutes which is an eternity to elementary school aged children (lol), it is an okay play place but it doesn't warrant more than a 3-star rating IMO. If you have the money (it's quite costly), I would say it's worth a go because watching my baby pretend to be a newscaster, dentist, surgeon, chef, and more was worth it to me. I'd love if the staffing could be improved upon and I would happily increase my rating. TIP: Get your money's worth by going from open-close.

Yelp
Glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews. I can't imagine what these people are thinking. We arrived at noon on Sunday and didn't face lines or wait time. I'll admit we were confused as to what to do but I asked a person in the sports med clinic and she had me scan a QR code. We were off to lots of fun! This place is amazing with so many choices for interests and ages. We did logo making, modeling, tv studio, hair dressing and bicycle repair. Each event was well run and offered a grand finale to show off skills. Honestly all I can think is the people whining are rich spoiled brats. This place is educational, fun, geared to individual interests and can fill the whole day. Ages I took were 8, 9 and 10. I'm a 22 year veteran teacher and will return

Yelp
The party host: She did not help with the flow in the party room noting was explained to us we had to figure out what the money was for that we earn or spend money We didn't know some of the events was for 6 yrs and up and had to get out of line which I'm turn waste our time Our pizza room was booked as a private event but other customers was booked at that time and was walking in They were so sorry to hey didn't even refill the napkins after kids washed their hands One of our party kids didn't not have a wrist band and didn't receive money - this is a safety hazard I was told that we had to pay full price for add ons however my email from the party planner explained that they would be added onto the party at the party price. While I had to iron out this mishap at the front gate I missed my daughters entire event that was pre booked with the party They lost some of our gifts i had to go find - the party host didn't know what was going on when we asked her did they find the gifts ? Expensive cool concept stop hiring teenagers to deal with customer service and events you charge to much to not get quality workers. Half the workers had frowns like they don't want to be there.. Really need a refund for the way this was and handled my Daughter was distraught!!!

Yelp
his place is so cool and extremely educational. I wish this was throughout the US instead of just in Dallas, as we were visiting for a family reunion and won't be back for quite some time. My only caveat would be to allow for wiggle room for age groups because my son is advanced and was turned away from activities that were for 6+ and he's 4 and could very well understand and take instructions the same as a 6 year old could. Not all age groups are the same level.
google avatar

Carla R.

Yelp
Kids loved it here. It's a pretty fun place. Make sure you plan which times you are visiting which "job" they are all on a set schedule and only take in a few number of kids at a time.
google avatar

Tiffany N.

Yelp
I wanted to give it a four but the long waits for some options and the semi-high price for mediocre activities earned it a three. I will say it's best to have more than one child join since only kids do the activities and adults just watch. They may want another kid to interact with. As for the adults, get your walking shoes and standing legs ready. There's few benches next to the activities the kids are doing. So you're standing idle 10-15-20 min at a time. And you probably need about 2-3 hours to get through it all. Do a quick walk around to view your options bc the kidzania bucks get you 3-5 activities. So you want to be careful about how you spend it.
google avatar

James G.

Yelp
This place has fallen off a cliff with everything. The organizing is terrible. The staff are not friendly and out right rude. Half the stuff isnt available. Whoever is in charge of this place has let it go and didnt even look back. So sad.
google avatar

Yelp
My kids give this place 1 million stars. They had an amazing time. We did a three day "season pass" (3 visits in 90 days). We did 3 visits in 5 days and they would have gone all 5 days if they could have. It's a really impressive concept and I loved that they could really have some independence and navigate themselves. I would say that 6-11 is probably the best age for this experience. People with toddlers might not feel like they were able to get their moneys worth and probably why there are some negative reviews on here. Also, this is a complex operation to run but I feel like a lot of the complaints in reviews have been largely mitigated. All in all my kids had the time of their lives and there's a parent lounge where you can sit and get some work done or relax while the kids go wild. Thanks Kidzania for such a fun experience!!!
google avatar

ViJay K.

Yelp
The best time to visit is early in the morning right when they open. Take some time to learn the layout--it really takes a few trips to see and do everything. It gets absolutely crazy busy as the day goes on. The setup is cool, but the long lines can make it less enjoyable. It's a great concept, but for us, it was a one-and-done experience!
google avatar

Jacob G.

Yelp
Overpriced capitalist trash. I mean it is a cool concept but piss poor execution. First off, insanely expensive. Six flags is cheaper. Second, your kid is going to wait in line a lot. If your kid gets bored, too bad, you have to wait at least 30-45 minutes for everything.
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
Ok, this place is amazing. I was so skeptical because of the price and it's being in a mall, but I so wish something like this had existed when I was a kid. First, you enter through a mini airport that is very realistic, getting your tickets at the check in desk from an attendant and going through security. You'll also eventually exit similarly, through Departures, where they scan each exiting person's wristband, so no fears of your kid escaping alone! The inside is a kid-sized city full of tall buildings and every business a kid could dream of. A hospital with an MRI, NIcu, nursery, surgery room and ambulance, a vet, a hair salon, a fashion show, a theatre, an eye doctor, a dentist, pest control, a firetruck, chocolate factory, guac shop, bakery, flight school, recycling center, construction site, news station, media center, influencer photoshoot, sports recovery center, police station/forensic science center, and so many more I truly can't remember. It's all laid out in a street grid intermixed with cafés for food and drink stops. We were there for more than four hours and still had plenty left undone for another day! Each kid is given 50 "dollars" at the start and they can either earn or spend money at each location. If they attend kidzania college they get a degree, which allows them to earn more. And don't worry about going broke...it would be pretty hard for a kid to run out of those fifty bucks, and they can always earn more. Many of the locations leave them with an extra food item or treat to eat, which really helps the value of the entry fee feel worth it. There is a map and a schedule posted in several places and also online with a running list of when activities are next expected to start. Your kid heads to the desired building and waits outside to be let in for the next shift. We went on a Wed around noon and only had to wait for one or two activities, all the rest we were able to get in quickly with the next group. I was worried it would be crowded, but there were many times our group was the only one in a location! Parents, note that you're required to wait outside the "shops" during activities, but you're able to see very easily what's going on through the windows. There is one or more staff running each activity and the spots are limited to manageable sizes. Our kids (ages 9, 8, 7, and 4) had a blast, though the four year old needed assistance at times, which staff were pretty great about. Still, we were there for four hours and they each did 6-9 activities. The downsides: I really wish someone had explained the schedule/map when we entered, because we started out just interrupting tons of activities by opening doors because the signs outside weren't displaying correct information. Parents have to pay to get in, and don't have much to do. If you're a parent who loves to watch your kid enjoying themself, you'll have fun. If not, you might get bored, though there is a nice parent's lounge upstairs that had tvs and a couple sleeping parents in it. The shop where kids can spend their "money" at the end needs more options, but the staff member inside was very kind about helping find the right items. Overall, the staff members were excellent at their jobs, though there was one guy in the hair salon at the beginning who seemed only interested in getting off his shift. The other 95% of them were fantastic. If you have a kid who is super shy or clingy, they may have trouble here, since parents need to wait outside (in sight, but not in hearing). If you have an especially active one, they may have trouble participating in the more calm activities, but staff may also be trained for this and I just didn't experience it. Overall, if you have the money to go, I would highly recommend it. It's a one-of-a-kind experience.

Yelp
very unorganized, poor communication, not enough stores open, and long wait times. I do not recommend for a field trip.

Yelp
Understaffed (long lines) dirty ( trash, bottles) and not one employee can contact anyone else if there's an issue. You will have to make your way up to the front so that they can send a manager to assist. No internal communication. Two lines buy at location or on line and the online tickets you still have to check in at the kios. The rock wall and the steel structure are not managed correctly making the lines way longer than expected. There's a work to play concept but they scan the wrist band over taking the play money not sure what that's about.

Yelp
Kidzania was enjoyed by my kids, they only had a couple negative responses. Their POV: One is they wish kids could be removed if they are interfering with everyone else having fun and learning. They said like classroom warnings. You're asked, then told and then removed. My POV: There were just a couple of terribly behaved children who took away from the groups experience. Paying $300 to have fun then the fun is ruined by some horribly behaved child is not fun. Maybe some basic behavior rules. Their POV: Two some of the timing for activities were a little longer and then some of them you didn't need to wait as long but no one was there. My POV: Team members were all having to switch since there were not enough to cover all the areas. Which is understandable when you have a place that big, you should overstaff for holiday breaks. When there is a holiday or kids are out of school the hours should differ to provide the opportunity to experience more in one day. As far as operations, whoever was in charge of vendor relations needs way more experience in handling inventory calculations for food and beverage for dates where kids our out of school and potentially more customers will be visiting! My daughter having a food allergy already makes going to places that don't allow food very tough however majority of these places understand a child's dietary needs and allow us to bring her own food. I feel as though this facility is not friendly to those children who do have any type of dietary sensitivities. Pie five was out of drinks and a safe pizza for her to eat. The bakery ran out of water bottles and had no carbonation in the fountain drinks purchased. They had no hot drinks. Nothing was set up or prepared for opening time. The individual in charge of this aspect definitely needs retraining.

Yelp
Taryiah was amazing with my autistic daughter and made her feel amazing and special. Love her so much, will definitely come back!

Yelp
What an amazing idea! Super interactive KidCity, well put together, kids learn a lot about different professions and even earn money! They can responsibly spend money on fun attractions. Staff are friendly, patient, and very educated on their Job. I wish they had 2 to 3 day pass options because it's impossible to see and do everything in one day. Definitely be back.

Yelp
Went down hill. Two years ago all the businesses ran back to back sessions. Now some businesses don't open at all on Fridays. Each one only opened once every 1-2 hours. Saturday was a bit better, but still, not everything was opened at all times. They should shorten the sessions from 20 min to 10, so more kids can experience each activity. Sometimes the sessions started late, technology was glitchy, and employees couldn't improvise so the sessions would take 30 min (after starting 15 min late). (Cassey was one awesome employee and who knew how to improvise and give kids a good experience.) The Taco shop no longer runs. The bakery only runs on weekends. Only pizza available to eat on Fridays. They were out of chips for two straight days for the guacamole making station. The water station for the fire has been out of service for over a year. Half the flight simulators aren't working, so they only take 4 kids per hour. Prizes are very very scarce to redeem money. Lots of inexperienced employees....some of them are a bit rude. Great concept. Kids liked it, but it took 2 full days to do everything they wanted due to the lack of staff. When it first opened it was 5 stars for sure! I was embarrassed to have recommended the place to others, not realizing it was no longer great.

Yelp
Took our children here last week. It's pricey. There were about 5-6 experiences closed. Our 6 yo and 4 yo still had a great time, but the worst part was the prizes they could buy at the end were SAD. $25 for a dum dum sucker or other cheap piñata candy. So the ticket cost $50 USD and they get 50 kidzania dollars to buy stuff and go earn. My kids had about 80 bucks each when we were done and leaving and they got a couple of crappy suckers. If the business is supposedly making millions each year they could do better on the treasures is all I'm saying.

Yelp
Super pricey for a lot of waiting. Paid almost $200 for the family and spent the first 40 minutes waiting in lines to do activities for a few minutes. There is no free play just lines. Half the business were closed or would be available in 2 hours. Be prepared to wait nearly an hour to be a firefighter. Kids were crying when they couldn't get in to do an activity. Terrible experience.

Yelp
If your kid is close to turning 5, lie when you purchase your ticket and use a birthdate that makes them 6. I took my 5 yo one week shy of her birthday & there was several things they wouldn't let her do. She had to watch her 6 yo brother do them alone.

Yelp
KidZania USA was such a fun experience. I came for a friend's child birthday party. I was amazed at this place. KidZania is little city where kids can select a profession. They have banks, fitness studios, hair salons, and so much more. They even have a plane for the kids to go in. Honestly, I wish I was a kid to do all the cool things at this place. Fair warning this place is loud with the fire truck and ambulance rides. It was the coolest thing to see the kids spray water on a burning building. It really was a huge show that was fun to watch. I will say this is definitely an entertaining place to go if you want an option outside of amusement parks for kids.

Yelp
Came here from California to visit Kidzania for celebrating my grandson's 8th birthday. Definitely a kids world. A little chaotic but other wise a good time was had. Unfortunately the wait times for some of the occupations are long due to staff having to rotate from activity to activity. Hopefully the establishment is hiring because it is needed in I reset to have all the "occupations" fully running. My grandson and his friend had a good time earning their pay and receiving their degrees. The only disappointment was at the end when it was time to purchase something from the store with the hard earnings. He had to spend his since we are from California. The store had very little offerings. To me it seems the "prices" were a little high especially for the wall of penny candy offered at 25 & 35 "dollars". In order for him to be able to purchase the item he really wanted at a cost of 2000 he would have to come to kidzania several weekends in a row which was not an option. The concept is good but a see where a lot of improvements can be made.

Yelp
There are so many activities. The kids could find things that fit their own interests. We wished more of the activities were open and available, because we wanted to try them all. Staff members made or broke the activities. Some staff were great! They were kind and made it a fun experience. A couple were not engaging, did not explain things well, and/or were short tempered with the kids.

Yelp
We were hesitant to go here with reading the negative reviews, but decided to try it out. We are glad we gave this place a shot. Our 6 and 3 yr old weren't able to do activities together but they enjoyed being able to do their own age appropriate activities. We all enjoyed this place and will come again when we visit the area.

Yelp
7yo and 9yo had fun the first 3 times we went. They had a blast the first time we went so we got memberships. HUGE mistake. Now the kids are bored and there's rarely anything in the 'prize' store. We have 8 months left of this membership and now they've reduced their hours to only weekends for 7 hours on saturdays and sundays?! The waits were already long and now we're still required to pay the remaining 8 month 'balance'. Bamboozled and disappointed in their business practices.

Yelp
Most businesses weren't open and the app isn't up to date to tell you where there is space. Definitely not worth the price tag

Yelp
I took my grandson on July 23. Be careful when purchasing tickets. I thought I was getting the lowest price. He is 3 and we knew he would be limited on what he could do. I was told to purchase online that it would be faster. I did not realize there are several options and thought I picked the cheapest. Apparently it will highlight a higher price. after we got them on the kiosk I realized that was not what I wanted. I talked to the manager James. he got on his phone said he issued the refund. He said it would take 3-5 business days. it's now been a few weeks NO REFUND. if I had known I would not have purchased a second tickeT. I have sent several emails and NO response. I'm very disappointed that I trusted the place would refund. I will not be returning and would appreciate a REFUND.

Yelp
DO NOT give this company your credit card or sign up for their membership. They claim that you can cancel your membership at any time, but there is a fee that covers the remainder of the annual membership. This is a predatory clause. They may charge your credit card without your consent and find various excuses to not refund your money.

Yelp
We enjoyed seeing my 6 year old granddaughter go around to all the different "jobs" her favorite was the dental office. Luckily they had an area for my 19 month old grandson. I liked the fact that we were able to leave and go into the mall for lunch and then return (not sure if we payed extra for that ability). I thought it was cool that once my granddaughter was paid at the different jobs she went into "the bank" and made a deposit and received a debit card. Lots of little lessons.

Yelp
I regret to say that signing up for a KidZania membership in Frisco was the worst decision I've made regarding family entertainment. Initially, I opted for the membership, priced at about $30/kid per month, for two kids, plus tax and fees it's $68/ month for 2. because individual entry fees for two adults and two children were quite steep.(first month membership fee is $97.32 for 2 kids, because there are activation fees ) The membership seemed economical as it promised the ability to cancel without penalty after 12 months, or with just a one-month penalty fee if canceled within the first year(but when I tried to cancel they don't allow me to cancel unless I pay the entire year membership fee) Unfortunately, the reality did not meet expectations. My children quickly lost interest in visiting KidZania. During our visits, we found that many of the play areas and stores were closed even during business hours. The staff, seemingly hourly employees, appeared indifferent to the long waiting lines and were rigid about entry times, not allowing children into empty shops until the scheduled times. Frustrated, I attempted to cancel the membership via their website and was shocked to see a cancellation fee of about $690, which essentially covers the entire year's membership after I made 2 months of membership fees. This was not the agreement I recalled when signing up. Seeking clarity and resolution, I visited the Frisco location only to learn that cancellation was indeed only possible by paying the full 12 months of fees upfront. This felt ridiculous and deceptive. I strongly advise against purchasing a membership at KidZania. The lack of flexibility and poor customer experience are significant deterrents. I will be sharing my unfortunate experience in a detailed blog post within my community to ensure others are aware and can avoid making the same mistake.

Yelp
Today is June 6th, 2024. Approximately, 1:17PM. Reporting live from KidZania to let you know hardly any jobs or attractions are open. Literally, like 5 things to do. Pretty expensive little experience. Been here a few years ago and it was a much better experience. They opened at noon and still scrambling to staff the job locations. Almost $50 for a 9 year old and $15 for adults is highway robbery for running at 30%-40%. Not worth it. Skip this if your in town or thinking of trying our KidZania. Management has failed this once great attraction.

Yelp
I took visiting family members here last weekend. They ranged in ages 7 to 14. They loved it! They've been talking about it all week. The concept is excellent. I want took my baby to the toddler zone and he enjoyed it. I would've preferred if it was cleaner. I wouldn't get first class again because the check-in time was still long and the food activity is OK but not worth the extra bucks. Overall, I recommend taking kids here and as parents, because this is a kid city being prepared to watch versus be involved.

Yelp
This place was so much fun! My 7 and 9 year old enjoyed themselves. We didn't experience long wait times or the jobs being disorganized as others have stated. The staff was amazing with the kids. Some of the staff went above and beyond with making the kids laugh with some comedic relief and ensure everyone was partaking in their role. Food was also priced well, tons of options inside so you can take breaks throughout since you will be there for hours. Only negative is they charge for parents but parents don't do anything but watch from the outside so not sure what the entry fee is for. Otherwise, we had an amazing time!
