Kikis

This small restaurant has great street tacos. It is small, and very busy so call in your order to enjoy at home or eat in your vehicle. The chips served are very hard, and not the tex- mex chips regularly served for chips and salsa. (see photo)

The food was really good. The corn tortillas were hot and freshly made. My dish came out amazing. My husband's food had hair in it. They were very apologetic and wanted to make things right. At that point he completely lost his appetite. The customer service was amazing, even when trying to resolve the issue with my husband's food. The menus are in Spanish and most of the workers only speak Spanish. We did ask for a worker that spoke English. She was very attentive and helpful when explaining the menu to me.

When we visit Brownsville, this Kiki's location is THE spot we must eat at and that our whole family agrees on. We usually end up just getting the nachos because they are so good. They are huge! We usually get two orders to feed our family of 5. This time we also got the quesadillas which were legit ones made with corn tortillas placed over the grilled cheese. There is fajitas with slightly crispy edges that you can scoop in there. We had a waiter from NYC who was amazing and super friendly. He knew his stuff and the best local fishing spots! We went in-between lunch and dinner hours so it wasn't busy but this is place is popular during meal times, especially for to-go orders.

Came back and got a fajita plate. it was so very good. I do recommend this dish. Anyone who likes fajitas gives it a try. Oh my goodness, now this place isn't playing. I haven't been here for more than 5yrs and decided to come and eat the Costillas, and they aren't playing. They actually have meat on them vs. Some places they so thin and have no meat, but these were cooked to perfection. At least I really enjoyed my dish. This is the original 1st kikies on hwy 48 padre Island Rd. If you want good hotel ribs, this is the place. Don't want to jinx it just hoping they are consistent on the size of the ribs. My husband ordered the kikis Taco very well served, too, for the price. It was amazing. I got full with my portion, so thank you Kikis see you soon.

It's not the most luxurious spot but they sure know how to cook. I've been coming here for years & it's the best tacos in town!!!

Let me tell you, this restaurant exceeded my expectations! Don't think twice about when you see this location from the inside of your vehicle as you are driving by! Come through! Trust me!

Well I had a poor experience with the person who identified himself as the owner of the restaurant. I guess you could call it poor customer service but I called a down right cocky attitude . In other words I felt like he could care less if I patronize his business or not and I usually spend more or less 50.00 to60.00 dollars there. I have to admit that the f fajitas taste very good and the beans have a good flavor but they give you mostly bean juice in the cup very little beans. I felt very disrespected and I will not go back ever again not ever.

I recently order food To Go, and food was great. Food was Hot/Warm when I went to pick up. Charro beans were Hot/Warm good temperature. I order a Fajita Plate, salad didn't looked good so I didn't touch it, Rice was fair enough to eat and the fajita, guacamole and Charro beans were the best part.

A little pricey but well worth the buck. This place a been a Brownsville staple for year's, which is plainly apparent, because the food and service are always on point.

Honestly, ordered this thinking it would be great but a new cook is needed! Chicken was over cooked making it dry. I bought two and paid 23 bucks. Do not order chicken there looks like they overcook it.

Amazing food! My husband had tried it due to his work buddies and they had the large fajitas shareable (parrillada de fajitas) and told me how good it was. We stopped in and it's the most flavorful fajita meat I've ever had and the amount it comes with plus sides, charro beans, sauces, etc are tasty and abundant. The place itself is small and definitely a hole in the wall but the people and service are super kind and food and drinks are fire! We crave this plus a ton! Super delicious.

Mexican street food served inside a restaurant in the United States. What's not to love? The building is a bit worn, but the food and service are always so good!!! The price is right too. They serve lots of things, but my favorite order is the bistec tacos. $5.50 gets you a plate of 6 little, soft-corn-tortilla tacos topped with all the fixin's - avocado, cilantro and white cheese with a side of grilled onions. The plate comes with a cup of very tasty charro beans and is served with chips, pico, limes and green sauce. There are plenty of other tacquerias in the area and some of them serve comparable food, but this place also includes the sides (charro beans, chips) and they serve excellent aguas frescas. Aguas frescas are the lovely fruit drinks like they serve on the streets of Mexico, only here you don't have to worry about drinking the water. Horchata (sweetened, cinnamon-spiced, rice-milk) and limonada are my favorites although the others (pineapple and cantaloupe) are quite good as well. The pineapple is not overly sweet. Kikis is definitely a must-try place if you are in the area!!!! If you can't make it to this location then try one of the others - Brownsville, San Benito or Port Isabel.

Bomb food, no beers but byob. Great vibe good time. Food was out fast. Green sauce was really good. Small taste of home.

Wow !!! This place is awesome. Authentic Mexican on the broader. Charro beans are some of the best I ever had. Great service, salsa, and the corn tortillas were incredible Must stop !!

Expected a long wait because parking lot was packed but had called my order in beforehand and it was done at exact time given. Fajita was delicious but maybe cut a bit too small for my taste. Flavor was perfect. Towards the bottom started getting a bit oily. Also I assumed it came with frijoles rancheros but that was my mistake should have asked.

After teaveling all day we set ourselfs up in the hotel and didnt want to go out so we got delivery. There was a flyer in the main office so we tried them out. The food was not good. We eneded up getting 2 mexican hamburgers, 2 orders of tacos some guacamole and a kiki taco. The hamburgers were the best thing we ate. The fries werent good. The tacos were very dry... and they gave us the wrong ones. We ordered bistek and al pastor and they gave us 2 orders kf bistek. The "guacamole" they gave us was only mashed up avacado. No onions or seasoning in it... they didnt even put lime or salt! I opened it and the top of the guacamole was VERY brown. The kiki taco looked good at first then when you lifted it up it was sitting in oil. For the amount we paid it was not worth it at all. There are soooo many other places you can get tacos in brownsville.

My sister and I came into town from Houston, and decided to stop here to eat. First of all, complimentary salsa, pico, chips and charro beans! All delicious. We shared 6 tacos for $6.25 and oh so amazing. My sister ordered the natural "agua de melon" which she enjoyed so much. NOT TO MENTION the staff was so sweet!!! I love this place and recommend it to everyone. They truly deserve positive recognition.

Went to Kikis today and picked up a alambriza. The frijoles, chips, and fajitas were great! The little tortillas are great & pretty darn cute too. If you're from Brownsville, you've probably already had it, but if you're visiting this should be one of your taco stops! Try the agua de melon! Cons: The limes had no juice, but everything else was good.

Best Mexican food ever! Awesome service and great prices! Would go there again and again.... The amount of food you get is really good for how much you pay. Homemade chips too!

Kiki's food and service is awesome. The staff is always quick and attentive and the food never disappoints. They cook their food "al carbon" which translates to "coal". So yes, the food has a great taste that is very unique to outside street food. Try the fajita tacos which come six to an order with avocado, fresh cheese, cilantro, and a heathy helping of grilled onions. Also includes charro beans and chips and salsa. They also feature aguas frescas which are delicious. My favorite is the Pina (Pineapple).

Anytime I'm in south Texas this is one place I always come! No place like Kikis and one of my favorite plates here are the nachos, they're amazing to say the least and very good amount. One order will feed 2 people, I've never been able to finish them myself but they're really good and they have amazing prices on everything.

Ordered a fajita parrillada for four at the Paredes and 802 location. The fajita had absolutely no flavor and was very difficult to chew. I told the man that I felt the fajita was marinated in water. I called to request to speak to a manager or owner and the gentleman who took my order requested my phone number so he could have the manager call me back to give me an explanation of why the meat was so horrible. I'm still waiting on a call back. They just lost a regular customer and will not recommend them again.

The Kiki's Taco is to die for, and the aguas frescas go very nicely with it (any flavor is good, you can't go wrong). The building is a bit older, but the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable.

Delicious food, fajita was well cooked and salsa was super spicy. I order to go, and food is usually out in less than 20 mins.

I went down to the valley to visit some family and came across this restaurant. The prices are cheap and the best part you get a good chunk of food. We got the parrillada for 2 people which fed 3 almost 4. Their beef is really soft and juicy. Wish they could bring one down to Houston!

Great place to eat tacos, unfortunately last time I was there my family and me ended up with food poisoning. This could be a one time dea but we felt really bad that I don't think we will be back anytime soon, maybe in a couple of years. Other than that the food was good and the service fast.
