Beautiful accommodation in a fantastic location at the quiet end of the promenade. On site parking was great. Book room #10, you won't be disappointed! Our room was huge, immaculate, super comfy 4 post king bed, large sitting area in bay window looking out at the promenade and bay. The bathroom was huge and updated nicely. Very friendly check in from host. No breakfast, but loads of options in the area. We enjoyed watching the ferries come and go from our sitting area. We stayed only one night as we were catching the ferry to Mull the next morning and were sad to leave our amazing accommodation. A great base for exploring the area and we would definitely book again if in the the area. 10/10!

I was very pleased with the way they prepared the room, taking into consideration that I am allergic to harsh chemicals and mold. There is no mold here. It is a bit dated and dusty in the relief at the top of the room, and is a bit impersonal for a guest house, but it has a lovely location and our room had an American-sized bed (Emporer King) and a wonderful view of the water. It was exactly as the picture shows. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

It was a wonderful view from the bedroom, and our bed- an Emperor King was wonderfully large. I appreciated greatly that they took care to use natural cleaning products, as I have a chemical sensitivity. It was less personal than some of our other guest house experiences, as we saw the property owner upon check-in only. It was a bit dusty in the decorative relief around the top of the room and dated, but still a nice place to stay.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend here.| The hotel is perfectly situated with sea views and ample free parking. | Check in was quick and friendly, we were given a free shot of whiskey which was a lovely touch.| The room was on the top floor, it was spacious with a separate lounge/ fridge area with croissants, water, orange juice, tea, coffee and hot chocolate which were replenished daily.| The view was lovely and the area is quiet.

During my two weeks in Scotland this was my favorite place to stay. The room was beautiful and view was stunning. The bit of sherry after a long, rainy trip was very welcome. I loved the charm of an older home done up beautifully. There was no breakfast served, there were snacks in the room, but it's a close walk to the town for food. Thank you for your hospitality and I will be back.

This is a gorgeous house set just opposite the shore. My room had a fantastic view of the water and it's still the highlight of my trip. The guest house is just a short walk from town and is perfectly possible to get to from train. For those who don't want to drive, this is a great place to stay.

Good value for the cost. Good views if you have a sea view room. Modern bathroom, welcome dram, somewhat good location, comfy chairs in bedroom. But note, there is not enough parking spots so try to get there between 3 and 4 to get one. Tip: have early dinner so you can have the two prime seats by window in the Welcome Room while everyone else is out. There is a refrigerator in room with orange juice and water and packaged croissants.

Lovely house, great views. Room was very spacious and had everything we needed. On a personal note, I hate mismatched wire coat hangers, they leave clothes crushed, wouldn't cost much to put nice wooden, matching ones in the wardrobe. The bathroom was huge and also had great views the showers was big.|The sitting room with log fire was a welcome sight and the wee dram a nice touch.|It was an easy walk into town for dinner.|The only thing that let it down was no breakfast. We knew this beforehand but for this reason I probably wouldn't stay again. The vacuum packed croissants didn't hit the |spot. Some nice fresh pastries would have sufficed.

Yelp
I don't know. I really thought the staff here was friendly and helpful, but as an accommodation, it was not the best experience. Sure, the location and view was great. Our room looked right out into the water. Also, I liked that the house was somewhat removed from the busyness of the main town area. However, the room itself was tiny, including the bathroom. There is really not enough room for two people. And they filled up one of the nightstands with a gratuitous coffee and water service, which basically made that nightstand useless in terms of a place to put your stuff. One of our lights wasn't working, the shower doors don't seal, so water sprays out onto the bathroom floor. Also there was some liquid hand soap in the bathroom that had a really strong and nauseating smell every time I washed my hands. The walls are also super thin so that you can hear all the noise from the hallway and the rooms adjacent. We were located next to a gentlemen's who seemed to have emphysema; he was coughing all night and in the morning like no ones business. He also seemed to be opening and closing the noisy shower door right behind our bed every 5 seconds. Breakfast was weird. First the dining Room was way too cramped with tables (that were a little too small) and people. It was hard to get to and from the buffet table, and multiple trips to the buffet were necessary because they didn't really have adequate tableware available at the buffet for everything. For example, they didn't have any cups to carry milk back to the table or any small dishes to hold jam for your toast. Basically, you have to go back to your table to get a serving vessel and bring it back to the buffet to put stuff in it. This probably wouldn't have been so annoying if the room weren't so cramped, making it an ordeal to get from one end of the room to the other. Anyway, it was okay for one but I'm glad I didn't have to stay there longer.

Yelp
Outstanding B n B. We asked Colin, the owner, for a good spot to meet friends...maybe to eat. He showed us menus of a couple seafood places and before we knew it he was on the phone to Ee Usk booking us a table. Colin also gave a map and directions to our friends to help them find their B & B. He went way above the call of duty there. Then as they left, he showed perfect comic timing - just as the glass door was shutting on our departing friend, whiskey loving Paul, Colin said, "now would you care for a welcoming dram of whiskey?" the look on Paul's face through the glass was perfect - sad hungry puppy face. Colin laughed and so did we. Only one thing I would do differently - make sure you get one of the rooms with a sea view. Worth the cost I think. Breakfast was great with a few choices besides the standard full Scottish. We had pancakes with yogurt and fruit and it was great. The house is close enough for walking, but far enough to be quiet. You can walk out the door and across the road to sit on the esplanade by the bay.

Yelp
Super Bed and Breakfast in Oban! The staff is very friendly: among other things, you get a free glass of whisky to welcome you. In addition, you can chose the breakfast you want to have a day in advance and the quality of the food served is great. Finally, the localization is perfect, near the city center of Oban with the possibility to park you car.

Yelp
Kilchrenan house is simply an outstanding B'n'B. We arrived at a stormy rainy afternoon and were lucky to take a room to the seaside. You sit in the sofa, watch the boats and enjoy the great view by a cup of tea and your welcome whisky. I could have spent hours in that way. The room was very tastefully furnished in Victorian style including the bath. Moreover, our hosts Colin and Frances were very nice and helped us in finding the right restaurant. Colins breakfast was excellent. I dared to take Haggis and it is definitely the place to try it out.
