A 3-hour boat tour at Kilim Geoforest Park was one of the most incredible experiences in Langkawi! The journey through the serene mangroves, towering limestone cliffs, and winding rivers felt like stepping into a different world. The boat ride was smooth and well-organized, with a knowledgeable guide who explained the fascinating ecosystem and wildlife. One of the highlights was watching eagles swoop down to catch fish—truly a breathtaking sight! We also explored a bat cave, where hundreds of bats hung from the ceiling, and took in the stunning rock formations that have existed for millions of years. Another memorable stop was at a floating fish farm, where we got to feed stingrays and learn about local aquaculture. The peaceful cruise through the mangroves, with their dense greenery and quiet beauty, made the experience feel even more special. This tour is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking to escape into Langkawi’s natural wonders. Highly recommended for a unique and unforgettable adventure!

An amazing trip to Kilim Geoforest Park that comes highly recommended, especially for nature enthusiasts visiting Langkawi. The experience offers a perfect blend of adventure, breathtaking landscapes, and fascinating wildlife. The tour is well-organized, with approximately 70% of the time spent cruising through the stunning mangroves by boat and relaxing at the beach, visiting a local floating restaurant, and discovering unique attractions such as the bat caves. Highlights of the trip include engaging activities like fish feeding and eagle feeding, as well as encounters with monkeys and even a cobra snake. The tour also showcases incredible natural landmarks such as mangrove forests, the mesmerizing Bat Cave, and the picturesque Crocodile Cave. The beach stop provides a relaxing break amidst the adventure, adding a serene touch to the itinerary. Special thanks to the excellent arrangements, including the reliable pick-up and drop-off service, the skilled boat captain, and the knowledgeable guide who shared valuable insights throughout the journey. This seamless organization truly enhances the experience. Keep up the fantastic work—it’s a trip to remember!

I brought my kids (4yo and 2yo) to experience their first mangrove tour, which includes visiting the bat cave, alligator cave, eagle watching and a stop at a really beautiful beach for some swimming/snorkeling. The whole experience was really nice and the kids enjoyed it! If you have the extra time, it’s worth to visit the park. They have so many options on the tours/excursions. Study them before coming, and we did our booking prior to the date.

Beautiful place to be. It was a part of a long, half day trip in Langkawi. The whole thing was amazing. If you're visiting Langkawi for the first time. It's a must do. The trip usually includes the bat cave, the crocodile cave, the fish restaurant, and the falcons area.

My 2nd experience. Mangroove private boat tour (4hours) RM320 - 1 hour for snorkeling. Better than island hopping. If you come to Langkawi island never forget to take part in Mangrove tour. The scenery was fantastic and my children love it.

Our visit to Kilim Geoforest Park was a good overall experience, though it depends on personal interests. We took a 2-hour boat tour for 300 MYR (after negotiation), which covered several highlights like the mangrove forest, bat Cave, eagle feeding, and a stop at the fish farm. We noticed some people enjoying kayaking, which could be a fun option for those seeking a more active adventure. The children especially enjoyed the thrill of speed boating in the open sea, which added excitement during the trip. We even caught a glimpse of the islands of Thailand while boating, which was a nice bonus. Reaching the park was easy Grab proved to be the best way for both getting there and back. If you're looking for food, there's a Pakistani restaurant available near parking area, which was a pleasant surprise. While it wasn’t perfect, it was a good experience overall, though the enjoyment largely depends on personal preferences.

One of the must go tours in Langkawi, really enjoyed the tour and had a lot of fun. Eagle watching is the best highlight in the tour, it was amazing watching these magnificent birds closely. The waiting in the harbor might be long depending on the operator.

Yelp
I have seen timberland and rain forests, but never a mangrove. This was a great 4 hour adventure. Kilim is 100 square kilometer, an ancient geological heritage that was created over 500 million years. OIt is also unique because it is the only place in Malaysia where coastal karst and mangrove ecosystems coexist. You arrive at the geopark and walk through the entrance where there's a small village of shops and snack stands. BTW toilet here are pay to pee, so have local currency change on hand if you need to go. Our guide walked us down a path to the river and docks where we found our boat and driver. While on the boat we took in the incredible landscape of the pristine mangrove forest, towering limestone rock formations, and the emerald green green river water. The guide pointed out the brahmini kite, white-bellied sea eagles, other birds, mud crabs, monkeys and monitor lizards. He discussed the deadly vipers that thankfully never saw. Situated off the Kilim River is Crocodile Cave. From certain angles the entrance resembles the head of a crocodile. The cave was a natural tunnel developed in the rocks by an underground stream thousands of years ago. We were able to barely access it during the low tide. After the boat ride we docked and checked out a different cave on foot. Kelawar or Bat Cave is also located in the Kilim mangrove. It is about 60 meters long and named due to the hundreds of bats that call it home. Along with the bats are the limestone walls with a few stalactites and stalagmites. It does take a bit for your eyes to adjust, and the guide had a low power flashlight to help see the sleeping bats. Also take note of the instructions when entering the cave- do not scream or talk loudly. you may startle the bats, and cause them to poop on you. Advice well worth taking. I didn't have time to explore some of the many hiking trails in the park or go kayaking. I think I would have enjoyed the kayaking if I had this same guide, but not if I would have missed the two caves. They were well worth it.
