Amazing experience. Lots of activities like fish farming, eagle spotting and feeding, lil tour in the Andaman. There are more options to explore too like kayaking, bat caves etc. The boat rides are available as shared option or private boats too. The boat driver explains everything so carefully. Totally recommend. Depending on your time, you could select time duration too but that may not be possible in case you take shared ride option.

Took a boat ride through the stunning mangrove forest — calm waters, towering limestone cliffs, and rich greenery all around. It felt like entering another world. The tour included a stop at the Bat Cave, a floating fish farm, eagle watching, and cruising through the open Andaman Sea. Watching the eagles swoop down over the water was absolutely thrilling. The fish farm was fun too — you can feed stingrays and see various marine species up close. Tip: Go earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds and heavy rain and enjoy a more serene experience.

We absolutely loved our 4-hour tour of Kilim Geoforest Park — it was the perfect blend of adventure, nature, and fun for the entire family. From the very beginning, the experience was seamless and captivating. Our journey started at the Bat Cave, where we explored fascinating limestone formations and got an up-close look at the bats in their natural habitat — both eerie and exciting! The kids were intrigued and amazed, especially with the little torchlight adventure through the cave. Then came one of the biggest highlights: snorkeling in crystal-clear waters. It was truly magical! We even had the chance to feed the fish while snorkeling, and it was such a marvelous experience — the moment we began offering food, we were surrounded by colorful fish gently swimming around us. The kids were beyond excited, laughing as the fish got close, creating a moment we’ll all remember. We wrapped up with a relaxing stop at the floating restaurant. Though we weren’t very hungry, we enjoyed some fresh juices, and the kids happily munched on French fries. It was a peaceful spot to unwind, feed the fish in the enclosed pools, and just enjoy the serene surroundings. Tips for future visitors: • Bring enough water and snacks for the kids — the excitement and sun can tire them out quickly. • Take some bread with you — perfect for feeding the fish, both while snorkeling and at the restaurant. • Don’t forget sunscreen — you’ll be out in the sun quite a bit, especially during snorkeling. • Bring your own snorkeling gear if you have it. Otherwise, you can rent equipment on-site. Overall, Kilim Geoforest Park gave us a beautiful mix of adventure, education, and fun. A fantastic experience for families — we’ll definitely be back!

Kilim Geoforest Park is a beautiful spot to explore, offering an amazing boat ride experience through breathtaking landscapes. We chose the basic RM 350 package, which lasted 2-2.5 hours, and it was totally worth it! The boat ride was well-coordinated and comfortable, with an informative guide. The key highlights of the tour included: ✅ Bat Cave – Home to many bats hanging from the ceiling (a fascinating sight!). ✅ Eagle Watching – Watching these majestic birds up close was an unforgettable experience. ✅ Mangrove Tour – A peaceful ride through the lush mangrove forest. ✅ Andaman Sea – Stunning views of open Sea. ✅ Crocodile Cave – No real crocodiles, just a rock formation shaped like one (so no worries!). The entire trip was peaceful and perfect for nature lovers and photographers! What I Didn't Like: ❌ Having to pay RM 2 separately for Bat Cave entry and RM 1 for a torch felt unnecessary. They should not ask for additional payments, as the cost should be covered within the boat package we purchased. Important Tip: 💡 If you’re a couple or a small group (3-4 people), try to find others to share the boat ride with. The boat can accommodate up to 10 people, so splitting the cost can make it much more budget-friendly. Just make sure to arrange this before inquiring at the registration desk. However, be sure to arrange this before inquiring at the registration desk, as they do not allow on-the-spot group collaborations. 😆

This is an absolute must on your Lankawi adventure. This is a big park, protected by government, and a lot of fun and adventure to visit. You can see the eagles while they are grabbing some chicken from the water, a short, but exciting bat cave. Lots of bats inside, and do not worry they do not hurt you. The crocodile cave is only accessible when the tide is low, but also exciting. I was amazed how well they control the boats. Oh yea, you visit everything with motorboats. Mostly private. Make sure you book in advance online for a good price. The tour includes a stop at a fish farm/restaurant. I highly recommend you eat there. They also provide transportation to the jetty. The tour takes you out to the sea and you visit the mangroves as well. See birds, monkeys and so on. The wild life and nature is strong here. Do not forget, you are a guest here and the nature is your host. No trash allowed. I almost forgot, you can see here “archer” fish. They spit water on insects and jump out from the water to catch their prey. You can experience this with your boat captain. Just ask for it. This is a one of a lifetime experience place. Do not miss it.

the boat rides amazing. make sure u check the tide before you visit since you can miss out on a few places due to water entering it in high tide. took the 2hrs one and it was still amazing. the eagle watching is great u literally see them swoop down and catch fishes. in another area theres archer fishes that spit water out as a way to attack their preys(in this case bread). overall loved it

This was an amazing day out and a must visit when on Langkawi. I recommend a private tour guide if possible and we also had a private boat for our family. This way we were not impacted by others timing etc. we visited the bat cave, crocodile cave, fish farm and the Kilim signage. Look to spend a good 4-5 hours here. And don’t provoke the monkeys!!!

Kilim Geoforest Park is an incredible place that you must visit during your trip to Langkawi. Unfortunately, on my visit on July 17th, the cable car was closed for maintenance. So, we opted for a private tour instead. It was an amazing two-hour experience. We got to see eagle fish eating, bat caves, and have an incredible view of the island. You should definitely try their private tour, which costs 350 MYR.

Yelp
I have seen timberland and rain forests, but never a mangrove. This was a great 4 hour adventure. Kilim is 100 square kilometer, an ancient geological heritage that was created over 500 million years. OIt is also unique because it is the only place in Malaysia where coastal karst and mangrove ecosystems coexist. You arrive at the geopark and walk through the entrance where there's a small village of shops and snack stands. BTW toilet here are pay to pee, so have local currency change on hand if you need to go. Our guide walked us down a path to the river and docks where we found our boat and driver. While on the boat we took in the incredible landscape of the pristine mangrove forest, towering limestone rock formations, and the emerald green green river water. The guide pointed out the brahmini kite, white-bellied sea eagles, other birds, mud crabs, monkeys and monitor lizards. He discussed the deadly vipers that thankfully never saw. Situated off the Kilim River is Crocodile Cave. From certain angles the entrance resembles the head of a crocodile. The cave was a natural tunnel developed in the rocks by an underground stream thousands of years ago. We were able to barely access it during the low tide. After the boat ride we docked and checked out a different cave on foot. Kelawar or Bat Cave is also located in the Kilim mangrove. It is about 60 meters long and named due to the hundreds of bats that call it home. Along with the bats are the limestone walls with a few stalactites and stalagmites. It does take a bit for your eyes to adjust, and the guide had a low power flashlight to help see the sleeping bats. Also take note of the instructions when entering the cave- do not scream or talk loudly. you may startle the bats, and cause them to poop on you. Advice well worth taking. I didn't have time to explore some of the many hiking trails in the park or go kayaking. I think I would have enjoyed the kayaking if I had this same guide, but not if I would have missed the two caves. They were well worth it.
