Kilkenny Design Restaurant

Lovely restaraunt to grab a bite to eat. Very friendly and helpful staff. One of the guys on duty had a great chat with us and gave my two lads a free 🎂.Will definitely eat here again next time I'm in Kilkenny!

Great food with many options for everyone (vegetarian, gluten free, etc)!! Plenty of seating with a warm and cozy atmosphere! The servers behind the counter were so friendly and polite and took their time to explain everything on their menu! Super pleased with this spot and highly recommend it for anyone hungry in Kilkenny!

This restaurant is above the Kilkenny design...so you have to enter the shop first, then walk up.... Beautiful Irish food, including seafood chowder with brown bread that you can enjoy here. Note;chicken wraps are delicious.... Vegetarian options or kid meals, nice dining area with comfort chairs. Sitting next to the window is nice, enjoy coffee and tea (dessert), place is big enough (you and your family will have enough own space). After you chose your meal, then you can pay at cashier (you should know the food name that you ordered) as the cashier will ask (if she is not familiar with the food that you have). Good to come here, especially after go around the museum/ Castle Kilkenny (just cross the road), easy walk....

I had the soup of the day and the goat`s cheese salad. Let me tell you - the salad is DIVINE. It was made with fresh ingredients, everything from the salad dressing to the goat cheese in it was perfect. If you like veggies- you cannot miss it. The soup came with bread. The soup waa warm, nicely seasoned and the bread- fresh, but not crumble. Everything I had was flavourful and hit in the right spots. I am here on a daily tour but noticed a couple tour guides having lunch too- usually tour guides know the best spots :) I went in because I saw it is full-another sign it is a great place to eat.

Good place where you can eat here in Kilkenny. You can try real Irish food for a fair price and it’s close to the castle!

Paid nearly €20 for a cold salmon and small salad just to get food poisoning an hour later. Filthy glasses,chowder and soup was watery and very poor value if i could rate a 0 star i would. Very poor, do not recommend, stay safe,eat somewhere else

Absolutely loved the food hereeeee! There is a restaurant above this design shop. You walk in then go upstairs the stairs as you walk up, you can smell the deliciousness! I got the quesadilla, potatoes, veggies, soup & bread with a very yummy tart dessert!! Food is a good portion to the point where you don’t even have room to eat dessert but you eat it anyways because desserts look so amazing and taste so great. If you are looking for a lunch or dinner or tea or coffee kind of thing this is your place plus you have a beautiful view of the castle too:)

I was so impressed by the kindness and hospitality in Kilkenny Design’e restaurant today I had to leave a review. I arrived at 2.20 on a Monday afternoon with a hungry, crying, tired 2 year old which is always very tense when our and about. The staff at the restaurant went to great lengths to be exceptionally kind with both of us, three staff went out of their way to help out with trays and gently ensure we were comfortable and I felt so welcomed. The food was really lovely, fresh and tasty and we were able to enjoy it all the more thanks to warmth of the staff that allowed my son to calm down. It was my first time back here in years and I will definitely be coming more often after such a rare experience of exceptional hospitality
