Kilkenny River Court Hotel

We had been gifted a stay in the Rivercourt Hotel from our son for Christmas. I rang and booked a two night b& b stay directly with the hotel. We arrived a little early but that wasn't a problem. The receptionist was so friendly and had us booked in quickly. We were over the moon when we went up to our room and found we had a Castle and river view. The room was spotless and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. We ate dinner in the bar on our first night and it was delicious. The breakfast both mornings was plentiful , tasty and the staff were so pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend anyone to stay there and I hope to be back very soon.

Enjoyed a one night stay to celebrate my husband's birthday , mid-week, at the very affordable rate of €80 which included breakfast. The breakfast was buffet and was really excellent. Staff throughout the hotel, reception, breakfast room , bar and household were very helpful and professional. In the room there was bottled water and complimentary chocolates which was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom pristine. On booking l asked for a room overlooking the river which the reception kindly arranged. My only complaint is that the windows overlooking the river were so dirty that we could not see out, taking a star off for this. I would suggest management look into this.

Stayed for 2 nights in a courtyard view room. Location is superb, right in the middle of the city. Plenty of parking albeit access to the overflow could be improved. Currently requires a barrier to be manually opened even at 7pm. Reception staff were not familiar with how to gain access. |Housekeeping and restaurant staff were courteous, helpful and professional. |Rooms are quite nice, clean and warm. Shower was powerful and hot and toiletries were organic, nice touch. Decor is very nice. The only issue that would prevent me from returning is the loudness of other hotel room doors closing. Noise could be heard from inside our room early in the morning and late at night. Unfortunately, we both did not get a great night sleep which for us is the key element of an overnight stay and hence the rating. Other than this, I would have scored the hotel much higher.

Word of advice DO NOT book through chase travel! We ended up booking directly with the hotel upon arrival. The staff / manager was so helpful to resolve an issue; excellent customer service! The rooms are clean, comfortable beds, hot showers with nice water pressure. The breakfast was very good with plenty of protein options as well as cereals & pastries. Great location to walk the city and see the historic sites. Very happy we stayed here and hope to visit again!

Stayed at River Court Hotel on friday 6th Dec. Staff very welcoming on arrival, bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable. Excellent shower. Bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep. Delicious breakfast in the lovely restaurant overlooking the river. Great variety of food. Staff helpful and efficient. This hotel is perfectly located . There was a large Christmas party in the function room that night but we didn't hear a sound in our first floor bedroom. Really enjoyed our stay. We will be back !

We stayed here for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. It’s a lovely hotel the bar staff were great especially Eoin and the music was fantastic. The night manager/porter Bartosz was also really nice. |We will return but just two small issues rooms were cold in the morning and the toast was more like bread but don’t let that stop anyone booking in here as I would highly recommend recommend.

Rooms are fine, everything you need is there. No iron in room but I'm sure if you request it would be. Shower is good , beds are comfortable. View of the river and castle from room were great. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of different options and always stocked.||Best thing about hotel is location. Perfect and only minutes walk to most things to do.||We will definitely return.

Stayed here for one night for my work Christmas party which was at a different venue.|I received a warm welcome on arrival, the reception staff were very friendly and efficient.|I requested an early check-in, and was delighted when I arrived and my room was ready.|I had a room on the second floor, the elevator was quick and handy to use.|The room was absolutely lovely, with a beautiful castle view!|It has all the amenities, plenty of space to hang up your clothes. A hairdryer, kettle and tea making facilities. They had also kindly left cartons of water and a lovely box of chocolates!|The room was very spacious and had a large double bed. |The bathroom had a shower and bath and had everything I needed.|I didn't have dinner that evening however did have breakfast the next morning, the staff were so friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. There was a Continental and hot breakfast which you could help yourself with, it was lovely.|I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay again!
