We didn't stay here but we did go two nights in a row for a meal. Lovely little place with lots of character. Everyone was so welcoming, staff were lovely and so helpful. The food is absolutely amazing!! All home cooked and very generous portions. Highly recommend!

We Always visit this lovely venue when visiting Argyll.
Soon as you walk into the bar , staff are always welcoming and friendly.
Food is home cooked fresh salads, not just some leaves thrown on the side of the plate for garnish.
Great choice of menu changes regular and specials on the board for great fresh local catches.
Parking areas can get busy just pop over to the museum really interesting and captivating history about the local area ,
take a visit for extra parking .

Situated in Kilmartin it has so much history and amazing veiws my only disappointment is the rooms are quite dated other than that it has really good potential to be a top top hotel I feel the owner was disappointed with my veiw on this but I can only be honest and state the truth as I am not a tourist I am a worker from Scotland who is entitled to have his opinion. Would I stay again probably not but I don't feel any one will be at a loss by this and as business goes on so does life. Thank you for the kind service and also the breakfast that was decent 👌.

Emailed the hotel on Wednesday the 4th September to enquire about booking accommodation on the 16th September with 2 dogs. No reply by Friday so decided to call to see whether they had received my email, was told by the girl that answered the phone that she had no idea if my email had be read or not but they were fully booked, this was before I had given my dates, clairvoyance does exist! I then gave my dates to be told that she thought they were booked, but not quite sure, with no initiative to go and actually check the booking system to see whether this was the case or not, a very bizarre way to operate a hotel, relying on the force, not strong that day in Kilmarten. As you can imagine, I ended the guessing game there and came away relieved I hadn't been sucked into the twilight zone.

Yelp
This is an old coaching inn near the Kilmartin museum . Kilmartin has so much local history and is surrounded by Neolithic stones and cairns . The nearby museum is worth looking at as is the church .
The hotel has so much atmosphere and has a friendly well stocked bar including craft ales . We stayed a couple of nights using it as a base to dot around the area .
Delightful staff made the visit for us and although it badly needs a refurb we were made comfortable and the breakfast was just great .
