The brand works directly with ethnic artisans to produce handwoven, indigo-dyed and batik fabrics using traditional ingredients such as indigo, bark and tea; some pieces require repeated dye dips over weeks to achieve their deep hues. Collections are released just once a year and take about six months from planting and weaving through design and promotion, resulting in roughly 1,000 handcrafted, often reversible garments annually.
