Kim Macrame Workshop

I was so happy when I found this small shop hidden in an alley of the old town. The area is called Reborn Alley, where several little stores sell handmade crafts. It’s a quiet, creative place, and the people there are really friendly. That’s where I discovered Kim Macrame. They have lots of beautiful handmade products that bring a soft, gentle touch to your life. Everything feels warm and made with love.

This store is really special. I came into this alley accidentally and so glad I found it. The store is filled with such beautiful things, all of which Kim made by himself with his own hands. I wanted to get a keychain but there wasn’t the color combination I wanted. So on the spot Kim made the keychain from the two colors just for me. He even taught me a little bit how to do it. Thank you for your kindness Kim and filling your store with so much love. Hope everybody who comes to Hoi An come across this store!

Kim is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and the most talented. Over time he became a very dear friend. I come to him to get decorations for my house, or presents for my family when I go home, or just for a place I feel safe, cozy, and warm. I’ve seen him do many workshops — he is so dedicated and caring about his customers. Every person that has come into the shop leaves with a smile. The biggest hidden gem in Hoi An — don’t miss it!

This shop is an absolute gem! Kim and Long are the some of the loveliest people I have ever met. They are very friendly, kind, and genuine. I have just finished a macrame wall-hanging decor workshop under Kim’s instruction. Kim is a wonderful teacher, making complex patterns easy to follow. My work was meticulously wrapped and allowed to take home. Every item in the shop is of stellar quality, fairly priced (including the workshops), and all handmade by them. 6 out of 5 stars

His shop is absolutely gorgeous – from clothes to baby mobiles to lamps, every single piece is beautiful and unique. You can really feel the love and creativity in everything he makes. I came to Kim’s workshop when I was really stressed at work. I’d been thinking about work every single moment of the day,from the moment I woke up until late at night (even in my dreams). But when I arrived at Kim’s workshop, his warm smile and thoughtful introduction helped me forget about everything else and fully focus on macramé, with passion and curiosity. You can’t imagine how magical (and handsome 😄) Kim looks when his hands work on the macramé without even looking at it. I could feel the love he pours into his craft- he’s truly an artist. I think I’ve just found a new hobby in macramé, and maybe I’ll come back to see Kim more often. Hahaahaaa If you would like to find something new in Hoian, come to Kim!

I bought a beautiful crocheted dress and I’m still in awe – it’s not just clothing, it’s wearable art. The attention to detail, the quality, and the love that goes into each piece is incredible. The team is so warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. You can feel it in every interaction – and in every stitch.
