Kimberley Quest

Just returned from an 8 day Southern expedition on the KQ2. An overused phrase “a trip of a lifetime” but this truly was. Small group of 12 onboard (max 18) and a really intimate affair. The scenery in the Kimberley is breathtaking and so vast you get the feeling that you are all alone - loved it! The really beauty of the Kimberley Quest vessel is its boutique size - we went down creeks and up to waterfalls not possible in anything larger - front deck shower anyone!!! I loved the intimate feel and this meant the crew were super attentive - and tailored the days to our group requirements. The vessel is more than comfortable but really it’s what the crew provide off the boat that is a standout. Beach walks, fresh water swimming, rock art, tender fishing - even a twilight jet boat picnic on a sandbar that seemed to rise out of the middle of the ocean. All the crew were standouts and multi talented - 8 crew for 12 guests! And the food - hi end restaurant quality - plenty of fresh caught fish, sashimi, morning rock shucked oysters, own caught mud crab - as you’d expect - but eye fillet, lamb shank and even duck - who serves that!!! Kimberley Quest. And did I mention there’s a helicopter onboard - almost a unicorn for this vessel size but what better way to see Horizontal Falls or Montgomery Reef. The cruise looks expensive on the surface - but add up the individual experiences and it is unbelievable value. Must do the Northern ones next time. Just brilliant!

We have just returned from a magical 8 day northern cruise up the Kimberley on the Kimberley Quest. It is such a beautiful part of the country that can’t be missed. This was our second journey on the Quest - we had done the 15 day southern 2 years earlier. I cannot recommend this cruise enough. The staff are amazing & fun, the chef prepared meals are delicious & the ship is beautiful. But for me what sets it apart is the expertly curated experiences with surprises everyday. From a helicopter flight to the top of a waterfall for a breakfast watching the walls of the gorge changing colours with the rising sun to sunset champers & canapés on a private beach. The fishing, the crabbing, the walks to beautiful waterfalls, soaking up the gorgeous scenery while soaking in the spa…everything is just magic! Everyday you are on this cruise you feel like the captain has prepared a daily itinerary to make sure you get every last minute to soak up the Kimberley beauty & spirit. The team go to great lengths to make sure everyone can participate & we had people of all ages. There’s no real words that can do justice to just how good this experience is. Congrats to Captain Alex & the Quest team. You really are the masters up here! I just scrolled on past the oddly standout review on Google Reviews because I have been a passenger on a previous cruise with the author 🙂

The Kimberely Quest was exceptional, the vessel, food, landscape, experience and overall organisation of this trip was superb. I took the 8nt northern itinerary from Wyndham to Broome with my friend and every aspect of the trip we could not fault. The group we travelled with were superb and everyone's individual needs were catered for. Communication was excellent and we knew all the options for the next day the night before. The food is plentiful, varied and delicious and we often ate fresh fish caught during the week. The rooms are a good size, and bathrooms are spacious. We had the twin cabin in the lower deck. My favourite aspects were the helicopter over the falls, sunset drinks on our last night on the beach and all the fishing which got quite competitive!! Well done to Captain Alex, Sid, Tim, Naomi, Liam, Jackson and Mckenzie you were an awesome team and so much fun!

We were lucky enough to do an 8-day cruise on the Kimberley Quest, Broome to Hunter River, Cruise/Fly in June this year. I cannot speak more highly of the experience. It was truly magical the whole experience will forever be embedded as one of the most memorable holidays and the most beautiful spot in the world and has become very special to my husband and myself. Friends have asked us since being on the Kimberely Quest and seeing our photos "is it as good as they say", and I have to say it is better!!! The Kimberley is so breathtaking, and the staff are incredible. The captain Alex and his team are so helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. Our chef Sid was one of a kind providing us with the best culinary experience I have ever encountered. You are up at dawn to experience the sunrises and start your day of activities from tender boat rides which included fishing - that was something, mud crabbing, beach swimming, bush walking and tours. Not to mention the gorges and waterfalls that you get to by tender boats or the helicopter with Joe our amazing pilot. This trip truly is a once in a lifetime never to be forgotten experience.

A once in a lifetime adventure with Kimberley Quest 11. We had the most incredible 8-day Southern Quest cruise on the Kimberley Quest 11 from Broome to the Hunter River in June 2025. From sunset cocktails at boarding to unforgettable adventures, the trip exceeded all expectations. Highlights included the Horizontal Falls, Montgomery Reef, waterfall swims, barra fishing, croc spotting, and a scenic helicopter picnic lunch. The crew was outstanding—Captain Alex, Charlie, Liam, Joe, Chef Sid, and hostesses Emerson and Amber made every moment special. Our trip was organised by Brooke who was amazing from start to finish. If you're after luxury, adventure, and stunning Kimberley landscapes with five-star service, this cruise is unbeatable. We can’t recommend it enough!

Absolutely outstanding. The attention to detail, ancient and current knowledge of the area, friendly crew, exceptional food and great rock scrambling. Yes it’s an expensive holiday for us to come from the UK, but is it value for money - absolutely! I’m not able to make any negative comments. Huge thanks to :- Bryne- ships captain Tim - on board naturalist with so much knowledge Jackson and Liam - brilliant deckhands and great fun Naomi & Amber our hosties Luke - the chef who prepared Michelin quality food at every meal Joe - our helicopter pilot. Absolutely nothing was too much for them. Loved spending time in the wheelhouse, just taking in the conversations. If you’re considering this cruise - then don’t hesitate! Book it, you won’t be disappointed.

Mitchel. Plateau to Wyndham. Our 2nd trip with KQ and we were not disappointed. Where do I start. The boat was beautiful, the staff were professional, fun and could not do more to make the experience amazing. The food was exceptional. The daily excursions and fishing trips were fantastic each customised daily to take advantage of the location and conditions. I absolutely highly recommend this company if you are planning a sailing Kimberley adventure.

An absolute trip of a lifetime with Kimberley Quest! The crew were friendly and knowledgeable, making everything run smoothly. The boat was comfortable, the food was excellent, and the fishing was outstanding - some of the best ever (thanks Liam). Every day brought incredible scenery and unforgettable experiences.
