The Best Soup In London - London - The Infatuation

"Kimchimama does a kimchi jjigae that’ll sort out your sinuses—we know, because it once cured our cold. The Korean spot is tucked down a pretty street in Pimlico, but it’s not somewhere you come for a long, lingering lunch. Orders are tapped into a self-service screen and moments later you hear your choices shouted around the kitchen and the ferocious sizzling—still audible over the loud pop music—begins. The spicy jjigae broth with strips of fatty pork and silky blocks of tofu is our go-to." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna

The 20 Best Korean Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"Kimchimama does a kimchi jjigae that’ll sort out your sinuses. This small spot is tucked down a pretty street in Pimlico, but it’s not somewhere you come for a long, lingering lunch. Orders are tapped into a self-service screen and moments later your choices are shouted around the kitchen and ferocious sizzling begins. The spicy jjigae broth, with strips of fatty pork and silky blocks of tofu, is our go-to. But the mandu dumplings should be ordered like Matthew McConaughey’s martinis in The Wolf of Wall Street—two, then seven, and two more. And then, two more every five minutes until you pass out." - rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, jake missing, daisy meager

Kimchimama Review - Pimlico - London - The Infatuation

"Kimchimama does a kimchi jjigae that’ll sort out your sinuses—we know, because it once cured our cold. The Korean spot is tucked down a pretty street in Pimlico, but it’s not somewhere you come for a long, lingering lunch. Orders are tapped into a self-service screen and moments later you hear your choices shouted around the kitchen and the ferocious sizzling—still audible over the loud, up-tempo pop music—begins. There’s a total of five tables in the stripped-back dining room and most people choose to take their food away. Wherever you eat it, the spicy jjigae broth, with strips of fatty pork and silky blocks of tofu, is our go-to. The mandu dumplings stuffed with minced pork and fiery ginger should be ordered like Matthew McConaughey’s martinis in The Wolf of Wall Street —two, then precisely seven, and two more. And then, two more every five minutes until you pass out. " - Sinéad Cranna

Very delicious food and atmosphere. Please make air con stronger when it’s super hot outside and provide aprons for the food which contains red paper paste. Also my kimchi jiggae had exactly 3 super small pieces of pork. Please add more as the price is too high for just 3 pieces. Recommend and will definitely come back.

Decent place for authentic Korean food. We got the tteokbokki and fried chicken. Food came piping hot. Surprisingly, my favourite pieces from the tteokbokki were not the rice cakes, but the fried dumplings and pumpkin katsu. I wish they expanded their menu.

One of the most favourite places in London🩷 the portions are huge! Incredible chicken, chic sauce, you get pleasure from every piece🤭 Simple atmosphere, but you feel comfortable🙏🏻🙏🏻 i really recommend this place

A tiny small restaurant. Authentic Korean street food, taste ok but not good. Reasonable price in this location but the portion is small. Agreed with other reviews, dine in but use disposable bowl and cutlery, not nice. It’s because Korean food supposed to use traditional bowl to keep the food warm. No water (tap water) provided. I wonder why other reviews said good service?? What’s the service come from? When I arrived the restaurant, no greeting and just told me to place order from the machine. For me, it’s totally Self-service, you need to order from the machine, get receipt with a number, to find a table and wait the counter staff to call the number, then you go to the counter and get your food and take the cutlery on your own. When I get the food, the young guy just place the tray with my food , say nothing! The basic polite word ‘ thank you’ - NO. And he turn back keep chatting with other staff. The menu on the wall as same as in the machine, means there’s no ingredients of each dish listed. If you’re vegetarian or food allergy, please pay attention. For example: soup with rice have pork. There’s many choice in around Victoria Station, I will try another one next time.

“I’ve officially started calling out ‘Mom!’ whenever I order or pick up my food. It’s just that good. Especially the kimchi stew and the hot chili chicken — hands down, world’s best!”

The food is absolutely delicious, with generous, filling portions. I had the tofu and it was possibly the best tofu I've ever eaten. The rice and sauce were really tasty and the pickled veg nice on the side too. The staff were friendly and welcoming and found out about allergens for me and made recommendations based on my dietary requirements.

Visited near st.paul branch. The place was small but I think it was efficient. Really easy to make an order without being rushed by server as it was on the machine with pictures so you could have an idea what you'd get. Food was amazing! I can tell they use very high quality of ingredients and very closed to authentic taste! Great portions too :) Highly recommend!!!
