Kimmade Vietnamese Street Food

Cozy restaurant with yummy food. Had several vegetarian and chicken dishes and was not disappointed at all. Service is good and fast as well. Only thing is that they don't take reservations, you just have to wait. On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we waited about 15 min to get a table. Quite affordable as well..

This place is so yummy we had to come back twice during our trip to the Netherlands! The honey pork noodle was delicious, as well as the fresh shrimp rolls with the peanut sauce. They also had a delicious gluten-free pancake dish. They do not accept Visa or Mastercard but you can pay with a debit card. They also have outdoor seating which is nice on a beautiful day!

We went there because of the high reviews, but honestly, we were a bit disappointed. The place is very small—while we were lucky to get a table, it felt cramped and uncomfortable. People kept passing over us or borrowing things from our table, and others were constantly waiting right next to us. It felt a bit too exposed for a relaxed meal. The food 🍲 was decent, but not as good as we expected based on the reviews. The menu was quite limited, and they had already run out of some items like the spring rolls. Also, the tables and menus were sticky, which made me question the cleanliness of the place. All in all, I doubt I would visit again.

The only good thing about this place is that the price is quite affordable. Food: not bad but not good either. nothing special. the broth is okay, but toppings ain’t much (maybe bc of the price). i’d give 3/5 Service: here’s all the minuses. a bit rude. not attentive at all. take away our menus immediately when we said we still want to look at the drinks (to order) a bit later. had to call a few times but kind of felt like being ignored since all of them gotta focus on the delivery and not the customers who are waiting on site. needs to have better organization. not the best experience to be honest. 1/5 Might come back to see if this is a one-time occurrence. Food was okay, decent. But the feeling of an underwhelming service still lingers. Hopefully better organization next time.

Stopped in here when we couldn’t decide where to go for lunch on a visit to Utrecht. It was SO delicious - I’m so glad we didn’t settle for some of the other places we were looking at. We had fried spring role, satay bowl, amd the bahn mi with honey pork. All of it was out of this world! Give it a try if you’re in the area!

Went here with a friend for lunch. My friend had pho before but not from this place, she said that it was good as well but would've liked the broth to be a bit stronger. I've never had pho before so to me it tasted absolutely incredible, I'm pretty sure I dreamt of it when I went to bed that night! The place seems like a spot where they specialise in a few things so the menu is limited, so keep that in mind. The place is very, very small. You could see it as cosy (we did) but I can see why it can be a downside. Inside there are 3-4 tables to sit at but there is more outside.

We ordered pho, beef satay banh mi, and shrimp spring roll. The food was really nice. I especially like the banh mi. The beef was tender and savory. It went well with the pickled vegetables. The shrimp spring roll was fresh. Although it looked like I got six complete shrimps, they were actually cut into thin slices🥲 i would say it is a little bit pricey. The restaurant was quite small. It felt cramped. We didn’t feel comfortable sitting inside. The space wasn’t not really tidy. The tables and menu felt sticky. I would love to try other food from them again. But maybe taking out will be more suitable for me.

It is not an authentic vietnamese food. The sweet pork rice very oily, the pho meat it is a bit chewy and the soup so bland, and the salad, need more taste... not good.

When you're touring out in Europe and you get the cravings for some asian soup or vietnamese, Kimmade will do you just fine. The portions aren't as big compared to the US, and the flavor is definitely lighter but it isn't as heavy, making it a replenishing meal. This is that good pick me up energy that's going to last you a couple hours of adventuring before you go eat again!!! I had some beef pho with spring rolls and a Vietnamese iced coffee to spark everything up. Soup was more sweeter than salty, I kind of liked this as it was different from what I normally have. Prices comparable to NY, LA so its not too bad coming from the big cities.

I were here with my boyfriend, and we agreed on, that Kimmade is the best vietnamese restaurant in Utrecht. It is a small restaurant, which makes it even more cozy and nice.

Was living in Utrecht for six months and was missing the Vietnamese food from back in Southern California. Although kimmade could not compare to the food back home, it was the closest I could have hoped to hommade vietnamese food. I have tried a variety of items here and they were all pretty good for the most part. l The restaurant is pretty small but the servers are nice and friendly and get the food out to you quick. I feel that Kimmade does a good job with serving Vietnamese food and overall, gotta support the local Vietnamese restauarant amirite?

After a holidays to Vietnam last summer, we really started to enjoy the Vietnamese cuisine!! While walking through Utrecht, we found this very small restaurant and decided to give it a try. The staff appears to be a young couple that started this restaurant and in their restaurant they provided quite some things we recognized from our holidays :) Initially, we were just looking for a coffee, and we ordered the traditional cafe sua da (not 100% sure about the spelling here... ;) ), which is a cold coffee with condensed milk. After trying the first sip, we were back in Vietnam right away :) While drinking the coffee, we took another look at the menu and decided we were going to try another thing. We chose the fresh spring roll with chicken and lemon grass and that turned out to be a very very good choice :) The place is very small and does not seat a lot of people (and the interior is not super fancy), but don't be fooled by that! If you go here, be prepared for some really authentic, great tasting Vietnamese food!

Great LEGIT take-out focused vietnamese place right by the train station in Utrecht. There are a couple tables inside, but it's pretty small. Food is simple but really good - focused on spring rolls, bahn mi's, noodles and pho. No frills, just cheap and good food. Wouldn't expect to find this gem in Utrecht.

Kimmade is an overall excellent place. Positives - Good customer service: nice and professional. - Food is amazing: great flavor and fresh, with some dishes you get the option to add herbs and hot peppers. - Waiting time: pretty good, -sometimes- it's a bit on the busy side. (Mediocre) Negatives - Interior/exterior: isn't all to special, just 6 tables in total, no special decorations, I'd suggest taking the food home/out. - Menu Card: it's a great menu card, but they never change it, if they would (from time to time) change it. That would be a great improvement. Food recommendations - Ban Xeo (Vietnamese pancakes) chicken, beef, and vegetarian are all always great, lovely taste, I would definitely add the given sause, to add a bit of shawow to the dish. - Pho (noodles) chicken, and vegetarian are both really good, you also have beef but I personally prefer the chicken and vegetarian out of the 3, I absolutely love this dish as maybe a starter or just as snack, but I always order this dish: always. Specialty ~ Bubble tea, I don't see this very often in Utrecht/the neighborhood, I love how it's not over the top sweet, I always take the mango with mixed jelly. Conclusion: - Amazing food, great service, okay to mediocre waiting time, and not so good in- and exterior.

Tiny restaurant, but good flavor. I just want some warm thing and ordered noodle soup. It is a simple dish, but satisfactory enough.

Super cute little Vietnamese joint in the heart of Utrecht! And when I mean little... I really do mean it. The restaurant is extremely small, so try going when it's not peak lunch or dinner time. While studying abroad in Utrecht for six months, I really really missed Asian food. Kimmade filled that void for me and I'm glad I discovered the food here! I always ordered the rolls here and they always tasted awesome. The portions were a little small for me... but I think that may be because I'm American and I'm probably use to bigger portions. I also ordered the boba here and I can definitely say I've tasted better boba drinks in my life. I got the lychee green tea and it tasted a little watery and the boba wasn't anything to rave about. However, this could also be due to cultural differences since my taste buds might be accustomed to American standards and sugar hahah. Anyways, I love this place! Make sure to come here if you're visiting and you're craving Asian food :)

Spicy beef with rice is quite good. Very juicy and comes with a generous amount of sauce over the bokchoy, meat, and cucumbers. It's enough to eat with the rice. We sat next to the canal. It was a beautiful night and good service.

I love the ice coffee and noodle soup, spring roll is okay yet it's totally worth it, most traditional so far ^_^

The place always looks crowded, which I guess is a good sign. The chicken noodle salad had tasty and fresh ingredients and for a good price.

Excellent - worth the wait. Only 4 tables inside for two, and four spots at the bar, but worth it. Good pho and good rice dish; friend got Bon mi, loved it. Salad great. Do it; don't look back. Your stomach will thank you

Excellent Vietnamese food place ! The Street Food location at Mariapstraat is ideal for a quick lunch / dinner or takeaway meal. Affordable and consistency brings me to this place almost every week!

5 stars for supporting the banh mi movement. Owners focus on authentic Vietnamese street food and does not underestimate the adventurous palate of the Dutch. Lemongrass chicken and honey pork? If they had a shop in Amsterdam i would go here every day.

Awesome pho, terrific xhuan xho and great ban mi. If the place don't look awesome from the outside, don't get fooled and give it a shot.

The food is of great quality, authentic, and extremely tasty. The small extras, such as bubble tea and Vietnamese coffee, are a wonderful addition. The restaurant itself is quite small and can get a little crowded, but it's also very cozy and it's fun to sit at the bar, look into the kitchen, and chat with the staff. My only critique is that a lot of the dishes are quite small, you will probably have to order a second dish or an appetizer. It means trying more, but can also make the meal more expensive than anticipated.
