Kimpton Atlântico Algarve

This hotel is absolutely wonderful — spacious, luxurious, stylish, and truly impressive. It is one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, the experience was flawless. We were assisted with our luggage, offered champagne, and personally escorted to our room. The room was large, modernly decorated, spotlessly clean, with many spacious wardrobes — very practical and well thought out. The bathroom amenities are plentiful and beautifully scented, the bed linen is excellent, and the beds are very comfortable. The hotel has a private direct access to the beach, which is a huge plus. The exterior is just as impressive: beautiful pool area, elegant furniture, trees, and landscaping — everything is perfectly maintained. The staff are attentive, professional, and genuinely polite. The restaurants are outstanding, with delicious food. Every day at 5 PM, the hotel hosts a Social Hour, where guests are offered complimentary drinks and light snacks, which is a lovely and generous touch. One small downside: during dinner, we left cash tips, but service charges were additionally added to the bill without us requesting or authorizing them, so I recommend checking your bill carefully. Aside from this minor issue, the hotel is a dream, and we are already hoping to return.

From the moment we arrived at Kimpton Atlântico Algarve the experience was exceptional, the warm welcome and the refreshing cold drinks upon arrival at the hotel made a positive impression. The reception team set the tone with their excellent hospitality making us feel at home. The check-in was outstanding the friendliest and professionalism was first class.||||We were extremely delighted with our King Premium Sea View room, it was beautiful, plenty of space and everything was elegantly designed, with high-quality furnishings and great premium amenities. Floor-to-ceiling patio windows that stretched across the entire wall giving plenty of natural light to the room. The sweeping views were breathtaking. Extremely comfortable bed with crisp linen with a high thread count, nice plump pillows, sleep quality was excellent peaceful and quiet. Two comfy chairs and a table, perhaps the room could benefit from having a work desk/ dressing table also. Great bathroom, good lighting and large mirrors, the shower worked perfectly and the luxurious toiletries were divine. Slippers and robes were provided for extra comfort, but considering the high quality of the room amenities the robes were disappointing could be more indulgent. ||||Pool area was fabulous, stunning large circular pools, plenty of comfortable sun-loungers, great snacks, a perfect spot for sunbathing. The grounds and garden spaces flowing from the pools were spectacular, and well maintained.||||The breakfast could be so much better. The food tasted great but services ruined our experience, they couldn't get the basics right like the coffee order a total disaster. The service was slow and forgotten. Certainly did not meet expectations from a luxury and lifestyle brand, the breakfast at Kimpton Atlântico Algarve was very poor not in keeping with the rest of the hotels high standards, honestly this is the only thing I could fault otherwise a really fantastic stay.

We had such a lovely Christmas break here. The rooms are so comfortable, very nicely furnished and the amenities superb. The gym and pool were lovely, and they also have some wellness and sauna offerings for an additional charge. It's right on the beach with a wooden walkway directly from the hotel to the beach, perfect to catch sunrise or sunset. What stood out for us was that the hotel was pet friendly, allowing us to have a lovely time with our dog. Not only pet friendly, but dogs are allowed in all main areas which was amazing. The staff was incredible, they really made our stay special by going above and beyond with helping, suggesting things to do and just being super friendly. Highly recommend!

Stayed 3 nights at the Hotel for a short getaway during mid November. Couple + dog. The Hotel is set in a very quiet area of Albufeira, far from any mess. The grounds are kept very well and it is wonderful to walk around. Just outside the Hotel is a beautiful beach and trail on the typical Algarve coast. Room has all the necessary, we were given an upgrade for which we are very greatful; it was nice to find the dog's essentials there upon arrival. It would be nice if the tap of the sink "delivered" more water. The service was very good at all hours of the day and night. A swift checkin, smiles and kindness during breakfast, very nice people at the reception and a fast checkout too. The late afternoon complimentary aperitivo is a great touch! Thank you Kimpton Atlântico for the great and relaxing stay.

Very nice hotel! High-quality service. Nice and friendly staff. Very beautiful location and well-kept garden that charmed me. If you are traveling with your dog, this place is perfect because they treat him like a member of the family! We highly recommend it. The only downside was that the water in the indoor pool was too cold for me, so I couldn't really relax in the spa area (we traveled in November).

We stayed for 1 week and it just wasn’t enough! I can’t wait to go back. ||Elizabeth greeted us and offered many great recommendations! Her smile and gracious manner made us feel welcome. ||She recommended restaurant Mares situated right on the property! We loved their breakfast!! We went to Terra daily for their excellent cappuccino. ||The spaces felt trendy and comfortable. Our room (Premium) was clean and comfortable and the hotel is very well situated. ||Again, thank you to Elizabeth especially and the whole team for the excellent care and service!|Elizabeth was wonderful!!

I thoroughly recommend the Kimpton Atlântico Hotel. The decor is beautifully matched to enhance the stunning Portuguese scenery. The hotel staff are very helpful and kind. Nícia and MD in the evening restaurant looked after us very well indeed, and we will miss them! The variety and standard of meals both at breakfast and evening time were excellent. Lucas and Arman both kindly welcomed us and were great too.|My husband availed of several spa treatments which he found very beneficial. The indoor pool and gym are a wonderful addition to the hotel. The rooms are uniquely designed and spacious. Picturesque gardens lead to a beautiful beach.|We valued Elizabeth's advice for a tour to Lagos and Sagres. |We look forward to returning to the Kimpton Atlantico, and will gladly recommend it to family and friends. |Thank you for all you do to ensure guests have such a blissful, relaxing time. We stayed at the Kimpton Algarve during the winter off-season, which may have influenced some aspects of our experience. The room itself was fine and comfortable. Upon arrival, there was no assistance offered with our luggage, so we carried it from the car to the front desk. The room thermostat was limited to a range of 68–72°F, which didn’t allow much flexibility for personal comfort. The food was acceptable but fairly average. Overall, the stay was satisfactory, and some of these elements may be related to reduced services during the winter season.
