True to the Kimpton brand, it’s very pet-friendly: pets can attend a daily early-evening lobby social hour and join their humans on the terrace of restaurant Bargello, with no hidden pet fees. My wife and I stayed for her birthday celebration. We were at the hotel for three nights in a corner suite. The interior of the hotel was beautifully furnished and decorated. Our room was spacious and had a spectacular view. The closet at 14 inches wide was a little challenging! All of the staff were very professional and helpful. Breakfast and dinner in the Bargello restaurant was outstanding, as was the service. We had drinks in the bar each evening, and found it disappointing that it was acceptable for residents to allow their dogs to sit on the soft furnishings. Our stay overall was a great experience and we hope to go back.

I stay in hotels 200 nights/year. I have traveled all over the US and a good amount in Europe and have stayed at the Kimpton brand in many locations. I have been staying at Kimpton Hotel Arras 3 times a year since it opened 6 years ago. This will always be my favorite hotel. ||Forget that they have the absolutely best and central location in downtown Asheville. Forget that their rooms are exquisite with gorgeous views, tremendous amenities and overly comfortable. Forget that each night they give you free wine and beer and their restaurants serve amazing cuisine. All of this certainly deserves 5 stars, but for me, it’s the unbelievable customer service. Each employee truly rolls out the red carpet for their guests and not only makes you feel welcome, but makes you feel like family. THIS is customer service at its finest. ||Special shoutout to everyone who always makes my stays feel like coming home; Quinten, Adam, Sarah, Joseph, Nicole, Angel, David, Keisha, Kyle, Mason, Yanna and Cynthia. You all are amazing at what you do!

Wonderful stay in a King Luxury Suite Mountain View, which was perfect for our family of 4 + dog. We were welcomed with a selection of treats, including dog treats and toy. Kids slept well in the pullout sofa bed. The bathroom had a beautiful shower and tub with local bath products. We loved the view of the mountains, and having a wet bar and refrigerator were convenient. The lobby of this hotel is gorgeous, and I wish we had more time to linger there. The hotel is conveniently located near Asheville hotspots including Curate and French Broad Chocolate Lounge. We easily walked everywhere once we arrived. Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely plan to stay here on future trips to Asheville.

Very upscale interior. Nice firepit outside lounging/dining. 5-6pm free wine/beer. Super nice and personable staff morning and evening. There are more dogs around, but no noise from them. Overnight parking is $32. Excellent location for walking around downtown and shopping.

I don't think you can beat this location! This is a beautiful hotel and the service is incredibly welcoming. I am so impressed by their staff - they have a great team and go above and beyond for guests! I traveled to Asheville with a friend for a mini "bachelorette" weekend and the staff decorated the room for us. Some treats were waiting for us in the room set up as well. I really appreciated Michael especially who would have carefully placed confetti around the room. Michael was so helpful with our bags and everything. A truly friendly face to see throughout our stay! I had so much fun being at this location and will certainly return.

We had a fantastic experience photographing a couple getting ready at Hotel Arras Asheville! The rooms are beautifully designed with a modern and unique style, creating a perfect setting for wedding day moments. The large windows provide an abundance of natural light, which is ideal for both photography and a bright, airy atmosphere. Beyond the rooms, the downstairs bar adds to the hotel’s charm with its stylish design and inviting ambiance. Every detail of Hotel Arras feels thoughtfully curated, making it a wonderful choice for couples looking for a chic, centrally located space in Asheville. Highly recommend!

Google
Beautiful hotel in a good location within downtown Asheville, close to a lot of good food and sights to see. Easy check-in, valet parking, good amenities like filtered water station/ice on every floor, toiletries in bathroom, 24 hr fitness center, and pet-friendly. Staff is super friendly and helpful, Tyler gave us some excellent recommendations within the city. Best experience I’ve had at a hotel, beautiful room with mountain and city views. Would definitely recommend and would be my first choice if I return to Asheville. Thanks for a good stay!

When we first showed up the valet attendant smelled like he had never heard of deodorant so when we retrieved our vehicle later in the day it smelled like his body odor which was repulsive. For two nights there was somebody driving a loud, modified vehicle and deliberately revving the engine all around the hotel until 2am, and when we asked staff if there was anything they could do, they said the could call the cops but they didn’t think it would matter so I got to have shitty interrupted sleep. This hotel isn’t cheap, so if you enjoy loud rooms that absorb all outside sound and body odor in your vehicles, this place is for you.

Yelp
The front desk staff, restaurant staff, and valet staff was absolutely amazing; so friendly, helpful and professional. I had trouble with my cell phone, and a young man at the front desk helped me with my issue. I forgot my "traveling fan", and they brought one to my room. The gave me extra bottled water. I left my shoes in my car, and a valet fellow walked to the parking garage and got them for me. (I was a very needly guest) The Hotel was very clean and just beautiful. I just love the fact that you can take your pet for NO additional charge. I have had to pay up to $225 for my 47 lb dog at other hotels. The location is very good. I plan to go back in March to see an Art Exhibit. The Art Museum is across the street from the hotel. I LOVE this hotel.

Yelp
We stopped in for one night and I'm so pleased we decided to stay here. This is our first visit but the Kimpton will be our first choice for any future trips. Firstly, this hotel is in the middle of a ton of restaurants and shops. It's a very walkable location. Check in was a smooth and pleasant experience. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional. We arrived during happy hour and were given a complimentary apple cider cocktail that was delicious. The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean. We stayed in a Mountain View king suite on the seventh floor and had beautiful views from the many windows. The room had a sectional sofa, large bathroom with a separate shower and deep soaking tub, a desk and semi divided bed area. This hotel is also dog friendly which I LOVE! They do not charge for pets and do not restrict the weight. This should be the standard in the industry. The Kimpton is doing this right! The only negative is the expensive valet parking. We felt like we needed to valet due to the extremely limited parking in the area. At $32 /day, I wish there were more affordable options for longer stays. There's one restaurant on site and a bar. Overall, we are very happy with this hotel and recommend it.

Yelp
This hotel is gorgeous and truly in the middle of everything. We walked everywhere so easily. Staff embodies everything I love about Kimpton. A little curt communication prior to our stay was completely turned around at check in. Hope helped us at the front desk and was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. Valet guys were professional and thoughtful as well. Trusted them completely to take our vehicle. Garage is offsite and shared with the AC Hotel. There are two EV spots and they plug in for you. Kimptons are pet friendly and do not charge when you bring your fury family. I fully support this as my fur children are quieter, cleaner, and more well behaved than most human children. Thank you Kimpton! Lobby is stunning with too many interior design details to describe. I loved the seating nook across from the front desks with records. You can enjoy a local beer or glass on wine on the house from 5-6 nightly. Complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings too with all the add ins (almond milk too). Kimpton extras! This property has two restaurants/bars and both on the first floor. Italian themed and lovely. All pasta made in house daily! They offer delicious breakfast options too (and fresh squeezed OJ). Our room was gorgeous with mountain views. Decor was modern, thoughtful and unique. Room was very clean and quiet in that you can't hear all the street and hall noise. Another note is that most furniture went to the floor or was backed against a wall which eliminates places for pets to hide. Thoughtful! I would stay here again thanks to great service received on property.

Yelp
This is an amazing find in Asheville. I saw that they allow dogs and I was traveling with my puppy. They're extremely dog friendly. They brought my dog, a bed and bowls and a tag for the door that said pet is in room. The service is extremely friendly the staff the room is extremely well-maintained. They came in every day to clean. There's a great restaurant in the hotel and a nice bar and overall it's just a great location as well.

Yelp
This is a favorite hotel of ours when in Asheville. It is located in the center of downtown within walking distance of most things. They have valet parking, which is kind of expensive ($32) but worth it. Mason, the valet, was nice and quick when we texted to have the car ready. Checking in was easy, and August at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Elliott, the Bellman, made getting all our stuff in and out of the room seamless. It was the employees of this hotel that make it even more special. They are very sweet and accommodating and make you feel welcome. The room (suite) was really beautiful with views of the town from the big windows. It had a sitting area with sofa, tv, desk, lots of storage, and mini fridge. The bathroom was large and also had a big window. The bedroom was gorgeous with wonderful views and a big comfortable bed and pillows. They have a nice happy hour with complimentary wine and great coffee bar in the morning. Cynthia kept it well stocked as it was busy. My only regret was that we were only staying for one night. Next time we will stay longer. Thanks for a special stay.

Yelp
Great location! Walking distance to everything. Our room had amazing views as well. Hotel bar was great with plenty of seating!

Yelp
Great location, clean, friendly staff. The rooms are nice. Coffee/tea in lobby in the morning and wine at night included with your stay. They do not have coffee makers in the rooms as a norm, but can add one if you request it. In the middle of everything. It is the tallest bldg in Asheville so you can always find your way back. The staff goes above and beyond. The avo toast in the breakfast restaurant is amazing, they make their bread in house and used fresh smashed avocado vs a spread. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
This hotel was as equally wonderful to stay at as it is beautiful. Located in the heart of downtown staying at the Kimpton Hotel Arras allows you to be able to walk around Asheville without having to drive and find parking. To begin the hotel has valet parking which makes getting out of your car and checked in very easy. The hotel is so beautiful and the staff was very attentive and friendly, making every effort to make you feel welcome. Our room was so clean and beautiful that I felt like I was staying in a spa. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee and tea in the morning. Everything about our stay was five stars and I look forward to visiting again!

Yelp
Uncharacteristically lukewarm review for a Kimpton, my favorite hotel chain. I hate writing reviews that aren't complimentary. In general, a lovely property in the middle of downtown Asheville. Cool building with residences in the top floors and the hotel in the bottom ones. Nice lobby. Wonderful staff. Predictably lovely, well appointed room. Our bathroom was in modest disrepair -- slow toilet, ceiling repair not completed. Maintenance came to the room and told us that the trick with the toilet was to be patient. Perhaps there's a better solution at this room rate? I guess upon reflection it's the valet service -- perhaps not the hotel's own -- that was kind of a disaster. Twice we asked for our car at a specific time. Twice we were assured it would be ready. Twice we had to wait because it wasn't. Both times were in a tight timetable. Perhaps minor...but we're apparently not tue only guests who had that problem as we learned upon checkout. So...hotel B; Valet D- PS fair warning: downtown Asheville is surprisingly loud. Like midtown Manhattan loud. Motorcycles, loud car radios, sirens.... I'd have expected a more peaceful evening in a charming NC town in the mountains.

Yelp
Wow so not only did the condos flood last year now without power for over a month! And McKibbons says "it's okay because residents have running water but no power. What in the actual f*ck?!!!!! It's okay? Then how about you come live on property and experience life here. And to think this POS owns multiple hotels in the South and the Hotel Arras is literally NOT an exception but a prime example of their property management.

Yelp
We just returned from 3 nights at the Arras as our base for a first-time vacation visit in Asheville. The building, which is the tallest in town so you'll never get lost trying to find your way back, used to be an eyesore but was redone from the guts out a few years ago to make a beautiful landmark in the middle of the city. You're 10 minutes tops walk away from anywhere else downtown so the location is fantastic. We stayed in a King Suite with Mountain view on the 8th floor...It was a corner room and had fantastic views of both downtown and the surrounding mountains. We loved the modern, swanky and regionally appropriate style of the room and felt like we were staying somewhere really unique. Everything was upscale, luxurious and comfortable. We took advantage of the wine hour a couple of times and found it to be on par with most other Kimpton wine hours...though weirdly (at least from our sensibility) there was never any red wine...always white, rose and their summer cocktail. Maybe it's a summer thing, but red wine feels like an important part of a wine hour's repertoire so I'd encourage the Arras folks to permanently add it into the mix along with the others. We enjoyed the bar a couple of times...plenty of space and comfortable with good drinks. The fitness room was spacious and had everything I needed. We especially loved the valet staff who seemed to be the most friendly and accessible group of people amongst all the staff we interacted with when we were there. We loved it here and would definitely stay again if we get to return to Asheville.

Yelp
David - GM and Sarah - Assistant GM you two are outstanding leaders. Your hotel is top notch and your team is outstanding. From the valet team to housekeeping, to the front desk...Your employees are beyond friendly and accommodating. Our favorite hotel!! We visit the Arras monthly. Outstanding staff, always smiling and so friendly. The hotel is sparkling clean. The restaurants are delicious and have a fun vibe. A summer must!!!!!!

Yelp
Awesome hotel, from the staff to service to the room. I would rate this as a five star hotel. The restaurant and bar where great also. The location of the hotel is right in the heart of downtown Ashville. Almost everything you want is within walking distance. The art district is about a 5 minute drive. The Biltmore is about a 15 minute drive. Great stay,

Yelp
Has everything I look for when traveling: comfortable room, nicely decorated, good sized bathroom. Service is excellent. Extremely pet friendly. On-site bar and restaurant offer great food and drinks with impeccable service.

Yelp
Great hotel in central location in downtown Asheville. If you are to valet parking make sure to get clear directions from hotel before you arrive as Asheville has many one way streets. This was my first time staying in the hotel and I have no complaints minus an little glitch within using the mobile application where I couldn't not ask for late check-out as I could early check~in. When trying to request late check out the following morning as a platinum member I was told it was not possible. Luckily I was here only for a day coming back from Tennessee so I didn't push the issue. My room was very comfortable and I was upgraded to a room with a nice Mountain View. Breakfast was very delicious and the staff super polite. Looking forward to the next visit

Yelp
The Kimpton Hotel in Asheville, NC, is fantastic. Centrally located in downtown Asheville, it is sleek, modern, with up to date amenities. The best part is the staff. Wow! Can't write enough about how friendly and professional they are. They go out of their way to make you happy. Only downside, and not the fault of the hotel, is the noise from the traffic at night. Get an upper floor. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
We stopped here as a large work group after a group dinner. Unfortunately, we were only there for one round of drinks as it was last call, but the drinks we were served were delicious. I asked for a surprise drink and ended up with the Mule which was a really well balanced mixture that had pomegranate and rosemary additions to the glass. Two individuals who got the smoked whiskey option really loved it. Service was great in filling our waters and offering a secondary drink in the short period we were there. Would definitely return!

Yelp
Excellent location, beautiful rooms, lovely lobby and outstanding service. It's a delightful place to stay!

Yelp
We love the Arras Hotel. Leadership David and Sarah are the dynamic duo, their leadership is a true reflection of the outstanding hotel staff. The crew is always smiling, greeting guests and you can tell these guys love working at the hotel. The rooms are new, clean and quiet. House cleaning and the engineer team keep things looking great. The two restaurants in the hotel have excellent breakfast, appetizers, dinner and cocktails. We enjoy daily complementary coffee in the morning and happy hour daily from 5 to 6pm. If you are traveling with a dog this is the ultimate pup friendly hotel. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I was so happy with my stay at Kimpton Hotel Arras! I visited last month and it was such a wonderful "treat yo self" experience from start to finish. The valet parking made it easy, I do wish that someone would have helped me with my bags though. They got me a cart at least, but this gal was struggling with my luggage, dog, purse, mask, keys, all the things. Check-in was easy. They gave my dog a new toy and some treats that looked locally made- I loved this. They also gave me suggestions for the best areas to walk him. My room was beautiful! It was even a little sexy with the shower sharing a semi-see through wall with the bed. (Don't worry you can out a curtain over it if you aren't having that kind of trip.) I treated myself with some room service, because I had a long day on the road. It was tasty and delivered quickly. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Asheville!

Yelp
This is probably the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in. It's nicer than 5* resorts abroad. It's huge, clean, comfy, and centralized to all of downtown Asheville. The lobby has 2 restaurants, a coffee bar in the morning, social hour in the evening, and 2 bikes with locks and helmets for first come first serve unlimited rental. Valet parking is kinda your only choice here- but it's very efficient, $32/day, and free in and out. Would be shocked if we ever found another hotel nicer than this.

Yelp
Randomly threw some clothes in a bag and decided to drive over from Charlotte for the night and it was a great decision. Arrived at 1pm and they accommodated an early check in with no issue. I was kind of confused on where to find valet so I had to call. Turns out before 4 PM valet is in the front of the building and then after it's in the back of the building due to construction. I pulled up and was nobody there for so I just left my car and went inside. Valet is $27 in&out which I knew prior to coming but still that's steep! There's literally nowhere else to park though so you kind of have to valet. Street parking is hourly & max 2 hours. Check in was a breeze. Very nice staff and since I had my dog with me so they gave her the cutest little welcome treat bag. Pets are free. My room was on the 6th floor (Mountian view). It's true that you hear fire trucks, police cars and ambulances quite often but it didn't bother me much. The station is literally across the street. I didn't hear any other dogs barking but the group next to me was a little noisy. The hotel had a cart in the lobby offering complementary wine, beer or hot cider with rum available from 5-6pm and you're able to take the glass to your room which was nice. The gym is open 24/7, very spacious and well equipped. In the morning they offer complementary coffee, hot chocolate and tea set up by the bar. Maid service isn't offered but you can request towels, trash removal or toiletries as needed. Ice is available pre-bagged in the hallway freezer. The TV in the room allows for casting from your devices which was nice to link my Netflix to and there's free WiFi. Check out was done on my TV.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel from the moment you walk in. The check-in staff was very nice, they got me checked in and I went to the room and walked in and it was occupied! Not what you want to deal with, especially when it's already midnight. They were very apologetic and gave me a new room. Was hoping for an upgrade at that point! The room itself was also nice, although not as unique as other Kimpton's I've been at, and they have filtered water stations on every floor. I enjoyed the evening social each night, but there isn't a lot of places to sit. The security person serving both of the nights was very friendly. Loved that they had appetizers as well. When I checked out, the Bellman was also friendly and helpful. I have to say that everyone who worked there had Southern hospitality.
google avatar

Briana Y.

Yelp
Our stay at the Kimpton Hotel Arras was excellent. The hotel is located in the downtown area so we barely had to drive anywhere. When we did need to use our vehicle, the valet made it easy. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and stayed on top of everything. The King Mountain View room was very modern. We ended up needing to leave a day earlier than originally planned and it was easy to check out. I would definitely recommend the Kimpton Hotel Arras for a stay in downtown Asheville.

Yelp
Had a weekend stay here in August during the pandemic. The hotel is well-located, right in the heart of the downtown district with plenty of touristy shopping and dining within an easy walk. Valet was friendly and efficient. The check-in area is pretty small, as most of the lobby is on the other side of the elevator bank and given over to seating/dining areas. I loved the metal leaf sculptures hanging from the ceiling and the bar area is nice. They have plenty of seating outside along a lengthy fire feature, which gives you a chance to be physically distanced during the current challenges and still enjoy cocktails while feeling a part of the bustling downtown scene. The rooms are average-sized and have nice large showers. The colors are very muted, especially for a Kimpton property, but I did like the metal/wood feature over the headboard that provides a focal point for the room. Views are pretty good, mostly encompassing both the downtown area and the surrounding mountains once you get above about the fifth floor. Storage space is ample and the beds are quite comfortable. Service everywhere was capable and efficient. This is a good choice for something that ups the hipness, without being tragically so.

Yelp
Exceptional service!! I have to say that the Kimpton staff are very very attentive and can almost facilitate anything that you ask for from where to find protein shakes to get you a expresso maker in the room. Room had an amazing view and it was super clean and pretty!! Very happy we chose this hotel def worth the price you pay for it!!' I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Yelp
Very clean. Apparently the nicest hotel in Asheville. They are dog friendly, which I was surprised by, but the dogs were friendly, too. Pro tip: coffee in the lobby is free. Coffee in the cafe is $3.
google avatar

Olivia M.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel. Staff is absolutely amazing. I love the scanning of the key card to get onto the elevator. Restaurants in hotel are good and room service is amazing. Beds are super soft and comfy. Bathroom is lovely and shower is great. The complimentary robe is a nice touch. Thankful to August who brought complimentary birthday gift to my room. Will def be returning. Only downside is no microwave in rooms or water .

Yelp
Excellent hotel excellent location the staff are great , dining at bargelo also very good , valet parking pricey but worth it. I will be returning . Almost forgot the shower was excellent

Yelp
For nearly $600 on a Thursday night, Kimpton Hotel Arras fell short of other luxury hotels. Advantages: - Nice views; central downtown location. - Clean rooms and large bathrooms. - Outdoor fireplaces look cool and are functional. - Yoga mat in room. Disadvantages: - No coffee in room; coffee in lobby is terrible. - Only option is to valet park. Be prepared to wait any time you need your vehicle (or anything out of it), as they park blocks away. Two of the valet attendants "were not allowed to drive right now," and they had one person running vehicles back and forth. - Thin walls between rooms; you hear everyone else's conversations above your room (though the bathroom vents) and next to you (through the walls). - No robes. - No room service, turn-down service, or availability for food to be brought to room. - Umbrella in room, but it was broken and unusable. With many other hotel options in downtown Asheville, I would not revisit Kimpton Hotel Arras.

J W.

Yelp
I found the hotel on the bring Fido app, they have no pet fees which was great for us while moving cross country with two legs dogs and cats. The hotel itself is nice, the shower was possibly the best we've had in any of our cross country moves. The issues were the parking and difficulty getting to the entrance which isn't clearly marked anywhere. It's in downtown Asheville which we didn't realize not having experience in that town. There is ZERO parking, especially if you're in a large vehicle or a moving truck. Also for being a pet friendly hotel, they have no pet areas, at all. They told us to go across the street to a grass area that belongs to another building that had clearly marked signs to stay off the grass. So stars removed for lack of parking and no pet areas.

Yelp
Good not great. Nice property. Great location. Im not sure if the poor service is a function of a shallow talent pool or just generational laziness, but it was mediocre to poor on several fronts The valet - they left my car running and untouched for ~45 after arrival. When i returned to the car after checkin and a shower they had me put the their tag in it. I had to ask them to remove it upon leaving. Amateur hour. The valet manager was nice enough and comped parking but the staff were lazy and not good at their jobs The restaurant - its not owned by the hotel but its in the hotel. Some old guy was listening to his phone without headphones. To the point that 10 people were staring at him. I asked the waitress if she could ask him to turn it down. She declined and said tbe guy was about to leave. So i asked him to tun it down myself and he kindly turned it down and apologized. He was still there when we left 2 drinks and a dessert later. We returned to our room and a wall sconce was out of the wall and replaced by a deck lamp. We were surprised. Not only by the replacement but also that we didn't get a heads up that anything happened. Probably wont be back.

Yelp
I was really impressed with the Asheville Kimpton Arras. Their service was outstanding. The valet was exceptionally helpful, getting all of of our luggage, even holding leashes as I was trying to get the dogs out. They kept our car close as we went to visit the Biltmore Estate and take the dogs to a dog park. The manager was always in view, and ensured we had everything we needed. The desk was so helpful. Loved their bar, great cocktails and a super charcuterie . A couple of pares and a lovely complement of meats, cheeses and breads. Nightly wine in the lobby for all guests. They hosted Furman Basketball for Socon, going to the "show." Well done staff. Our room was beautiful. They brought us two pristine dog beds , treats and stainless steel dishes. The staff goes above and beyond. Usually, Kimpton draw dog folks, but this was extremely beautiful, right in the heart of town, and so helpful. I highly recommend this Kimpton. 5 star service. Beautiful and new. They are just not catering to "dog people" they are charming us on all fronts.

Yelp
Being in the hospitality business I have high standards when staying in hotels and Hotel Arras exceeded all expectations from check in to check out. I wish I remembered the names of the two women who checked my friends and I in on the evening of 7/20 - they deserve raises (in case management is reading this ) Extremely kind and welcoming. One of them accidentally charged my card before realizing I had prepaid (not her fault). She was so apologetic, which was not necessary, and she gave us a bar voucher as an apology. Again- not necessarily but extremely nice! The hotel itself has earned its 4 diamond status and is gorgeous. Our room was impeccably clean and very stylish. The bed and bedding was so comfortable and we appreciated the in room amenities like the quality full sized shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash in the showers and the provided robes. The televisions gave you the option of streaming your apps from your device to the television which was a nice touch. The bar was wonderful and we also enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning. The hotel is decorated with artwork by local artists which definitely added to the boutique and non cookie cutter style (something we love about the Kimpton brand in general) I can not think of one negative thing to say about our visit- I hated to leave!

Yelp
I loved this hotel. Seriously, this is one of my favorite hotel's I have ever stayed and I have been to Disney World, twice. I booked a suite and it was amazing. it had a nice sitting area with a sink, then partway down the hallway there is the bathroom with a soaking tub, rainfall shower, and then a separate room for the commode. The bathroom had automatic blinds! It was large and absolutely wonderful. They include locally sourced soaps and materials. The last room was the bedroom with a large TV and desk. The TV even said Hello Eric which was a nice touch. I loved this room and I don't think i will try another hotel while traveling to Asheville. I look forward to returning to this hotel! The price was very fair for the room as well. The elevators use a keycard and assign an elevator to you, I had this feature when living at the 9 in Cleveland Ohio and I enjoy it because it is secure and it gets you right to your floor! I did valet because I guess self parking is not on site but it was easy enough to work with the valet. The breakfast was on the pricy side so I ordered doordash but I did eat at the restaurant for dinner the first night and got drinks at the bar. The food was exceptional and I will review it separately but the bar drinks were not that tasty and very pricy. Sorry.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of the Kimpton hotels since the mid 2000's for these reasons. 1. They are modern, clean and nice. 2. They allow pets. 3. They have zero breed and weight restrictions. It's always been rough on me as a Rottweiler owner to search for pet friendly hotels only to find out that they aren't entirely pet friendly to all dogs. So all the Kimtpon Hotels have allowed me to travel without leaving my dog at home. That being said, Hotel Arras was an exceptional experience. Super clean, modern and the staff is wonderful (including the valet!). It's centrally located and walking distance to a lot of restaurants not to mention the hotels own restaurant. To quote Arnold, "I'll be back."

Yelp
We had a great 2 night stay at this hotel! It is located in a perfect part of downtown Asheville with so many shops and restaurants within walking distance. We brought our dog and appreciated how pet-friendly it was. We were on the 8th floor and had minimal street noise, much less than most downtown areas we've stayed in. There is a park a block away which was great for walking the dog. PARKING TIP: instead of valet parking, we parked right across the street in the lot under the AC Hotel by Marriott (10 Broadway St). Parking was only $15/day which was much more reasonable than $27/night + tips for valet at the hotel.

Yelp
Excellent hotel. Very clean, large rooms, nice and cool. They are super dog friendly and I'm allergic, but the guests were very polite with their animals and did not assume I would want to touch them. Staff was great. I removed one star only for the valet parking. It was frustrating and really could use some improvement, but having the choice of valet is nice. We will definitely return.

Yelp
Would give it a 5 except for the bug bites I got while sleeping and the noise which was awful. I reported the bug bites to the manager and got the response I expected. Not their bugs. Not bed bugs!! So how dare you!?! Well we do know that even nice new hotels can have bed bugs. Just because the engineer did not find them does not mean they weren't there and attacking me while I slept. Since this is a dog friendly hotel bugs have a very easy way of getting in. But Sarah assured me that there were no bugs so yay! I must be crazy. My husband and I are eaten up with bug bites. I don't care what they want to tell themselves. So would we stay again? No. Beside the bugs the noise from outside was loud until well after midnight. Must not have a noise ordinance in Asheville. Other than that it's a beautiful new chic hotel. But not worth the bites.

Yelp
Drove down from Ohio for a week in Asheville with the family. The Kimpton Hotel Arras did not disappoint. The rates were fair and the staff was attentive and friendly. The location is also centrally located, and within walking distance to everything downtown. You can't go wrong!

Yelp
The proximity of this hotel was unbeatable ( downtown Asheville), which meant the rooms can get a little noisy at night. Enjoyed the walking distance to almost everything downtown. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Staff came promptly when we called for the Nespresso machine. We enjoyed the social hour. Valet was pleasant, although there was no assistance with luggage. Front desk staff was pleasant with every encounter. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of the Kimpton line, ever since my first visit to the Palomar in Philly.....they have a cool, hip, buzzy, unique feel. Some are getting dated, but on our trip to Asheville, I wanted to try the Arras. I was so pleased. Here are some highlights - I know everyone stays closer to the Biltmore, but that's a huge mistake. This hotel is a lot better than those, and the central location cannot be beat. - It's pretty new, well appointed and stylish. We picked the Mountain View suite and it was such a pleasure. Big room with a sitting area, huge windows overlooking downtown and the mountains. Lovely bed and bath - The staff was top notch. This is a common theme at all Kimptons. Every staff member is friendly and wants to help - just ask. - We had drinks, apps and breakfast. This is one thing about Kimptons - the food is NOT an afterthought - it is well crafted, thoughtful and tasty. No exception here. I would ensure you stay for some meal - The 5PM happy hour is really fun and a nice touch. As I am a fan - I would ask that the hotel figure out valet. As great as the hotel is, it's the first and last impression. If you are paying 27 bucks a night for parking, this needs to be a LOT more thoughtful. I am not sure if this is a Kimpton thing, or they contract it out, but it's gotta get better. I will say - each valet staff member was nice enough, no problem there - but when you pull up - in the event you need help (and I get it's not offered) - they don't really help. They are not bell staff, they are valet. So no help taking bags in and up. That needs to be re-thought. They will offer a luggage cart for you to help - but if you are staying at a top flight hotel, this doesn't come off very well. On the way out - no bell staff to come get bags - you need to go get a cart - and there are seemingly only two in the hotel. It was a nice touch that the nice lady at the front desk brought one to our room when it became available - that was so sweet - but this needs to get fixed. Overall, I would stay here over and over - it was such a treat.

Yelp
This grand hotel is new and located centrally downtown. We stayed here for a weekend visit and appreciated the stylish decor and comfortable rooms. This modern yet ornate hotel has a large bar area, sitting area, and a restaurant downstairs. The elevators are fast and more modern to operate than I realize could happen. Meaning you pick you floor # outside the elevator before entering. The room we had was great, with a large bed, nice view of the park on the front, and a superbly large bathroom with shower. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The one star loss is due to the restaurant where we had breakfast, as it was understaffed and very slow with it's service. But I would come here again and recommend to others.

Yelp
I LOVE Kimpton hotels. Not only did we feel taken care of but we felt very happy and at home at this hotel. An employee by the name of August was one of the most helpful and kindest employees I've met. Will definitely be staying here again for the service, cleanliness and proximity to all things in Asheville.

Yelp
Very nice hotel, great rooms and service/staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Nice big lounge areas downstairs with coffee service/newspaper plus there is a free happy hour. We stayed in a spacious king suite which had a nice big soaking tub. I think all the views are likely pretty good. The big con is that motorcycles and drag racing or something go on outside until around 1130/12 at night on weekends. It is really, really loud and we were on the 7th floor. Maybe request a room facing the back. Would've nice to sit on the front area and people watch with the great weather but it was closed for construction or something. Decent gym. Lumpy beds. The location is the other huge plus. It's right in the middle of the biggest concentration of restaurants and bars, you really don't need a car and almost everything is within a 30 sec to 10 min walk. Pretty entertaining area on weeknights...of course the hotel can't do anything about the noise. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Arras for our 33rd wedding anniversary and were blown away by our stay. From the immaculate rooms to the incredibly friendly staff, everything is top notch. We brought our two dogs with us and they were welcomed as much (if not more) than we were. Everywhere we went, the staff greeted us and our pets and usually had a treat on hand for them. Whenever we picked up our car, the valets had the doors open for us so we didn't have to shuffle the dogs around to get at the doors. The hotel is conveniently located right downtown Asheville so most things are within walking distance. There is also a park with green space right across the street so when our dogs had to do their obligations, we didn't have to go far. We highly recommend this hotel if you are planing a trip to Asheville.
