Everything is so delicious but their chicken is so crispy and juicy. Best chicken I’ve tried! The workers are so kind and accommodating. Coming back!! 😊🫶🏼

I got chicken katsu with dry curry. First thought was Portion is bigger than expected. Round metal in in the pics makes it look small without something else in pic for scale. I was thinking the small metal tins your pasta comes in usually. NOPE. It's gigantic! There's enough to share between two people. Or you can save half for later. Katsu was tender and moist. A nice crunch and neutral taste that pairs well with sauce not too sweet. I'm still like wow that I was given two cutlets cut up. It's a good value for money. One scoop of Mac salad which is a is mix of mac and potato salad. Potato is unexpected. Not super mayo-y so it's okay. Cabbage slaw is not mayo based. Dressing reminds me of Chinese chicken salad dressing. It was okay, Rice sprinkled with a little furikake. Dry curry was beef. Kinda reminded me of chilli but no beans. It was good with the rice. Oh and the red pickles I love red pickles with curry. Portion size is big. It's a bit on the more pricey side but I'm not sure what pricey is with inflation. I just know it's a lot of food and I can't complain about the portion given. Chicken is tender. Dry curry I liked. Will try the pork katsu bulgogi soboro next time. This place is so cute and literally tucked inside a supermarket. It's quiet, a legit storefront, and so good! The service was so nice- I should've asked for the person's name but he was so kind when ordering and answered all the questions I had. I showed up with a couple friends 30 minutes before they closed and he reassured us to take our time. The food was great. I ordered the chicken Katsu with dry curry and the Dabang coffee. The dry curry is kind of like a ground pork consistency but so flavorful! Not too salty, but full of spices. The chicken Katsu was flaky, juicy, and well proportioned. I wasn't a huge fan of the coleslaw, it felt like pickled cabbage almost but when I mix it into the rice it isn't as pungent. I'd definitely go back- it's perfect for lunch or dinner and then you get to walk it off in Hannam after :-)

Korean Hawaiian fusion concept inside the Anaheim Food Co warehouse. It's a ghost kitchen that has many small businesses inside. You order online and pick up when they text you. The food is usually placed inside a locker. Food was promptly prepared and very fresh. Nice packaging as well! The pork katsu comes as strips which I actually really liked. The chicken katsu is your typical type. The dry curry uses minced beef and adds a different touch than your typical curry katsu using the Japanese style curry mix. Had a very rich flavor and was thick. The beef bulgogi was a bit disappointing though as it uses the same minced beef. So I wouldn't get that again. The sides were decent and I think the prices were fair. It's very close to me so I'd return anytime I want a katsu bowl!

This was my first time going to a ghost kitchen and I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation and quality of the food! Although it wasn't like Cocoichiban level, it was still a solid meal. The chicken katsu was crunchy and fresh, and "dry curry" was flavorful. The macaroni salad mixed with potato salad was a new interesting combo and slaw helped cut the heavy flavors. Probably the most decent katsu place in this area of Anaheim so that's 4 stars in my book!

Location moved inside of the Hannam Chain supermarket on Beach Blvd and Malvern. It was a little hard to find at first. They do not have their own sign and are located inside of "Magpie Superette." I've tried both the chicken and pork katsu bowls with the Soboro beef. The katsu is nice and crispy, well seasoned. Some people are saying the katsu sauce is too vinegary for their taste, I disagree; I don't think it's overpowering at all. From my experience, Japanese/Hawaiian-style katsu sauce tends to have a bit more of a vinegar taste compared to the sauce served at a lot of Korean katsu restaurants. Not to say one is better than the other, it's just different. The side of Soboro is nice and flavorful. Mac salad is good, it's blander (in a good way) compared to some others, but overall a good complement to the meal. Not a huge fan of the cole slaw, it has a strong fermented?? vinegar taste that I don't think complements the rest of the meal too well. Overall though this restaurant is pretty solid. For the price, you get a larger portion of higher quality food than compared to alot of the fast food chain Hawaiian restaurants out there (Looking at you Ono, charging $15 for a minuscule portion of katsu piled on top of 4 inches of soullessly boiled cabbage). I recommend trying it.

Absolutely worth the $16 meal as portions were relatively large with two scoops of white rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, some vegetables, chicken katsu and "Bulgogi." I use quotations because it really wasn't Bulgogi per se. It tasted and looked more like minced ground beef with sesame oil and salt. Katsu was crispy and crunchy. All blended well together.

Looking for quick, easy to grab on the go but fresh and delicious food? this is the place! Chicken katsu bowl (4.5/5): the katsu is nice and crunchy. Its well cooked/seasoned. No complaints, hits the spot for my katsu crave. The rice is ok, a little mushy for my taste. The mac is ok, no bold flavors. The coleslaw is not what I'm used to, like it had a pickled vinegar taste that I thought didn't compliment the meal at all. The katsu sauce has a mild more vinegary taste that I'm not used to but it complemented the katsu well and actually gets more addicting as I ate more. Super easy for beach or picnic dates. Overall a good meal + cute packaging as well.

So yummy! My husband got the pork tonkatsu and bulgogi combo and I got the pork tonkatsu with dry curry combo. The portions are generous and price is reasonable. The pork tonkatsu is cut into strips, perfectly crispy and juicy. The mac salad was also yummy. The combo comes with rice, mac salad, coleslaw and tonkatsu sauce. We also got the regular corn dog and was so surprised! The batter is made from rice flour so it almost has a mochi-chew to it. The actual hot dog was also all beef. So yummy! We're so glad we tried this spot. Will definitely come back! Located inside the Korean market next to the food court. The service was fast and good. The place was clean. Highly recommend!

Corndog was pretty good. The rice plate was a bit disappointing. Rice was mushy, mac salad was like a potato salad, chicken was decent. Theres like 20 restaurants all in this one location. No seating and take out only.

One of my most favorite things to order from UberEats is this place for sure! I'm in love with the pork strips Katsu bowl. When it is delivered, the presentation is always neat looking and the bowl itself is very tasty! I'm not sure if this place has a physical location because I always order it as a delivery, but if it does, I would definitely love to come in, sit, and have lunch!

I am soooo happy I discovered Kimssi Katsu! I visited for the first time today and I can honestly say I found a new favorite lunch spot!!! I love katsu and they serve the best one! I tried two of their most popular items: chicken katsu + dry curry combo and pork katsu + soboro combo. Both meals were delicious, I just couldn't stop eating!!! Also, their desserts are really tasty! They are a ghost-concept kitchen (which I love) so it's take-out & delivery only! I picked up my meal and enjoyed it in a beautiful park close by, soaking in the sun. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Wanted to try this place out and I saw it was part of this big food complex or something on Lewis Street. Didn't see a Yelp page for it so I decided to make one! It's really quite good what they offer even if it's only like three items in total? I would definitely get their katsu and dry curry again, it was so good! I thought that the macaroni salad could have been a bit more rich though but it was touted as a bit of a pineapple one and the slaw was nicely vinegary. Also tried their bulgogi but the curry was really the star. Their "GG" sauce is like a teriyaki with ginger and garlic but overall, a really great option if you want katsu! Delicious! Also around this area we really don't have Korean katsu places unless you go to Buena Park and the fukujinzuke radish they add is delightful.

Saw Kimssi Katsu on DoorDash and decided to give it a try, and I don't regret it one bit! I have tried the chicken katsu + soboro bulgogi bowl and pork strip + soboro bulgogi bowl separate times, and both times Kumasi Katsu has proven themselves to be consistent. Quality or taste did not change. I have yet to try their dried curry, but I'm sure it'll be good. Their food literally looks like their photos. 10/10 quality (they pack it so nicely and visually appealing) 10/10 taste (love love love their soboro bulgogi!) You will not be disappointed!! P.S. I like to get extra sides if the house slaw and the pineapple Mac salad cuz they're so good. Its worth the extra buck!

This place is a winner. The silver bowl plate with your choices of pork katsu or chicken katsu, curry beef or bulgogi comes with two scoops of rice and one scoop of macaroni salad. The katsu is crispy outside and soft inside, so good. The meat is tender and delicious, so good. The reason why I knocked off one star is their Mac salad. One of the worst Mac salad I've ever had. They probably tried to copy the Hawaiian Mac salad but they did not get it right. It looks like they have the ingredients but the ratio must be off. The texture is there but the flavoring is so off. Anyways, next time I go back, which I plan to, I will ask for all rice. Oh, and the potato rice hot dog was soooo good. It was so crunchy. Try it!

I am usually not a katsu person but I love this place!! Well portioned and I love that it just feels light but super delicious. Love the sides that come with it. Take out only so don't expect a sit down place.

They have a interesting concept of a ghost kitchen where you can order and just pick up the food. We got the chicken katsu with dry curry and the chicken was moist without being too greasy. The panko coating was light and crunchy. We ate it while driving home and it was fantastic. Probably on par with some of the best Katsura in oc and the portion size was generous. The Katsu sauce is a little vinegary, which tastes like a typical Japanese Katsu sauce to me and complements the meat. Will be back to try the pork. I love that a whole family can order here and get everything they want. This was a great place to eat before heading to a concert at the Honda center

I'd say it's a Good katsu but please next time don't forget to include the katsu sauce in my order.

The food here is overall pretty good. Had the chicken katsu, soboro bulgogi and the dry curry. The katsu tastes pretty good with the yuzu japapeno aioli though it's not very spicy. I think the katsu would taste better if we baked it in the oven because it was a bit soggy by the time it got home. The bulgogi flavor is good but I prefer the meat to be in pieces and not as ground mead. The dry curry has good flavor. Haven't been able to find a lot of places with dry curry and is definitely worth a try for any curry lover. The 2 sides are great. The coleslow does a good balance between sweet and vinegary. For people who love potato salad and macaroni salad, Kimssi Katsu has the perfect mix between with Potato Mac. Tastes like a macaroni salad mixed with sweet mayonnaise potato mash. Yummy carbs.

This place is a hidden gem! Don't think twice about finding something else on the go while hungry. You won't find anything fresher and tastier. With a lot of choices to pick up some curry in the area, this shop is a must try with their dry curry!

Definitely the best donkatsu place in Orange County! White chicken meat was super moist and juicy along with tasty dry curry(their own special sauce)! I ordered Chicken Tender Katsu Combo for group of 9. Literally ALL of us LOVED it and thinking about bringing our kids here next time. Service is two thumbs up and they also helped me carry my orders! Thank you Kimssi Katsu!

Just discovered this place on DoorDash and I'm so happy that I did. These are all flavors that I had before in different cuisines, but their take on it gives it a fresh breath of life. The dry curry concept is absolutely amazing, and how they are able to keep the katsu so crispy even after a long delivery is an amazing achievement on its own. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

I got the dry curry and chicken Katsu combo. I really enjoyed the meal even after it sat in my car for 20 min. The Katsu was still crispy, the meal was still warm. The dry curry was very flavorful, but mild in heat. It went very well with the rice. I enjoyed the pickled veggies that came with it. All in all, a very good meal.

I haven't had decent chicken katsu for awhile but I highly recommend Kimssi Katsu Chicken Katsu with curry. The curry is also different from what I am accustomed to, it has ground beef in it and the portion is great. I highly recommend if you are craving for Korean/Japanese fusion katsu dish. I would definitely order again!

This is the best place in L.A! I love coming here when I get the chance! Food quality is great and the taste of the food is worth the wait and your time!

Fresh and tasty food at a reasonable price, I'm definitely coming back! Tried the chicken and pork Katsu with bulgogi, ordered extra sauce. I liked the jalapeño aioli white sauce (refreshing) and they gave some katsu sauce with the orders. I really liked the pickled cabbage slaw and the Mac salad was pretty good too.

The food was phenomenal. Everything tastes amazing and the serving was giant for the price! Service was also amazing, we requested no onions and they called to check if we had an allergy and were willing to take out all onions even in the dishes that are prepared fried with onions. Super sweet and helpful. Will definitely be coming back for the amazing food and great service! :D

As expected, the quality has dropped slightly since my original post, particularly the katsu strips. The portions we recently received was no where near our first few times ordering from here. Still decent with now a slight hesitation.

My friend got me my first Kimssi Katsu a while back after work and I fell in love with the pineapple Mac. Stopped by myself recently and couldn't find the pineapple macaroni salad. Miss the pineapple Mac!

I've ordered from them twice through doordash and the food is delicious. I've gotten their chicken katsu and bulgolgi combo. The slaw is refreshing and the macaroni salad is light and not heavy. Good portions too so i always split my bowl into two meals.

First time trying this. This is my favorite chicken katsu so far. I definitely ordered extra sauce but I regret not getting extra macaroni, as it was delicious. Really hard to find the place but don't regret the search. Going back soon for sure!

Ordered through Uber Eats all 4 bowls for my parents and grandma. We all absolutely loved the dried curry bowl and the accompanying cole slaw was also good. Tasted the katsu pork and bulgogi and they were also good. The macaroni did not add to the dishes; a creamier and more savory version, such as the one made by L&L would be a better complement.

Food is delicious and packaging/presentation is great! We ordered the Pork katsu strips and curry katsu, everything was so good. Their Mac salad is a bit different compared to traditional Mac salad, has a pineapple hint to it which was very unique. Would highly recommend if you're looking for good quality katsu

So good! I got the katsu/bulgogi plate. First time here and I thought I was in the wrong place when I got there! You grab your food out of these cute little cubbies. Definitely will return when I'm in the area.

At first, I was lost and could not find the place. They reached out to me and called! The place is inside the supermarket on the left side, and you will see a green sign named MagPie. Food tasted very good, would recommend everyone to try it out!

Ordered 7 katsu plates via doordash, 2 of them were crushed and bits of chicken loose in the plastic bag. ALL the plates include a macaroni salad that was off (all my coworkers agreed).. I called the restaurant directly to let them know but no one picked up, then chatted with doordash CS who offered %60 credit for the order..

We ordered last week and it was amazing really enjoyed the chicken Katsu with dry curry it was awesome. So we're going to order again today but I'm gonna change it up a little bit I'm going to get the chicken Katsu with the bulgogi

I got the bulgogi and katsu rice bowl. Over priced ground beef. Mediocre katsu. Watery Macaroni salad. The pickled onion was the highlight of the dish. Probably the reason it looks appetizing in the photos.

I haven't had really good katsu for a long time. This is the best katsu ever! Their katsu, curry sauce with rice, and coleslaw.. all together it was just perfect. So glad that I found this place! Really enjoyed their food.

Where to start.. I hardly leave reviews, but I was surprised to try katsu and dry curry from this place. I went to my sister's house to drop something off and I was hungry. I saw some food on the table and it looked like she ordered delivery from this place couple hours ago. I asked her if I can have some and I was surprised as soon as I tried these bad boys. Katsu or curry related dishes are very common here in OC but damn... the meat in the katsu was not greasy and fresh and the outside texture was still crunchy for some reason. It wasn't really dry or oily for a katsu that was sitting there for couple hours. bulgogi, dry curry, radish, and macaroni was also top notch. I yelled at her, "dude! how much did you pay for this stuff?." and she told me it was like 12-14 bucks without the fees and everything for 1 combo. Next thing you know, I am in yelp leaving this review. I really hope this business thrives cause I can taste and see how much effort that Kimssi Katsu put into their food along with affordable price for the huge portion of their dishes especially during times like this.... Great job!!!
