During this day, I was really craving hainan chicken. After some research, I discovered there is a Thai version of hainan chicken. It is called Khao Man Kai. I drove an hour to Kin Sen to try it. Though very very similar to hainan chicken, I did not taste as much ginger/garlic infused flavors in the rice and chicken. However, it was still pretty good. What I really liked was the yum woon sen. It was my first time trying it and now I'm a fan. Now, I will always try to look for it at any Thai restaurant I go to. The pad thai was fine. I did NOT like the papaya salad. It was WWWAAAAYYY too sweet. This salad alone dinged a star off of my review. It did not taste like a traditional papaya salad at all. Practically just sugar and water was used as the dressing. The roti dessert was fine, but I can tell they used old ice cream. From the scoop of ice cream I was given, I could clearly see freeze burn marks all on it. Overall, this place wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. I will say that the entree portions were huge; very generous of them. It got busy fast. It's not a huge place but still had a nice chill vibe to it.
