We stayed here long ago in 2008, and we wished to see PEI again, so we chose the very same inn again and it didn't disappoint, it was just as charming as that long ago stay. I could cheerfully live here year round! It's close to everything, but especially close to Green Gables Heritage Park; there is a secret path you can take to the park next door, which we did a few times. You can absorb the "feeling" of Green Gables and all things LM Montgomery by staying here. The name is very appropriate, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the deliciously superb breakfast buffets; you've never seen anything like them! Egg cup "pies", Belgian waffles, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit cups, yogurt, coffee and tea, milk. It was so good. The outdoor pool and sauna were also very nice, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We enjoyed the lounge to relax in, in the evenings. There were bonfires outside too for those who wanted it in the evening, and very clean laundry facilities. I would highly recommend this place!

We went for a mini family reunion and we thoroughly loved staying here. We stayed in one of the rooms and it was lovely and clean. The whole grounds are clean and well cared for. We had breakfast daily which was excellent. The staff are very friendly and also kind. We would most definately stay here again and we loved our time in PEI. It is also a great location for the sites you would like to see.

I had an absolutely fabulous time at Kindred Spirits! It was super close to the Anne of Green Gables Heritage site. The rooms are wonderfully pretty, the area was calm and the staff are immensely warm, welcoming and helpful. And not to forget: the breakfast had a rich choice of delicious treats - a delight is also to be able to take the breakfast in the sunshine on the veranda. I can highly recommend this charming, comfortable and homely place.

This was our first visit to PEI. I feel extremely fortunate to have come across Kindred Spirits Inn & Cottages in my search for accommodations in Cavendish. The website and reviews totally live up to the acclaim. Beautiful grounds and buildings, set far enough back from the main road to create a peaceful atmosphere, yet in near proximity to attractions and all points on this side of the island. The hotel is kept in outstanding condition, the staff warm. friendly, and helpful, and the breakfast first rate. There is a pool and lawn games, as well as a playground for children. We will definitely stay here again.

The Inn is so very lovely and clean. I especially appreciated Verna’s help with our reservations and we had the pleasure of having her assist us at check in. We were sad that we our travels only had us staying for one night, as the property is very peaceful and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub (which were also very clean). They even had a camp fire at dark. The breakfast we received as part of being guests in the main Inn was delicious and offered many yummy choices. A hot bar that included small egg omelettes, sausage and waffles. There was also cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, coffee, milk and a variety of tasty pastry choices. We enjoyed an early morning walk on the north shore beach before breakfast. You will not be disappointed booking this gem!

We had a great experience here! We stayed in a room in the inn. It was so cozy and homey. We felt like we were staying with a loving friend, but of course with our own room and privacy. The pool and hot tub were lovely, the breakfast was delicious (so fresh! The best breakfast we had on our 16-day trip!), and the rooms had DVDs players and a fun movie library you could borrow from in the lobby. I also loved the matching blankets/curtains and the fun, clunky keys! We were so close to all of the Anne of Green Gables attractions I wanted we see. We never drove more than 20 minutes to get anywhere. I highly recommend, and I hope to stay here again one day!

We loved our time at Kindred Spirits Inn and Cottages. The accommodation was clean, neat and stylish, it was just a nice place to be. We had the 'Anne Package' and it was perfect for us. The location is fantastic. The staff were lovely and the breakfast sensational. We highly recommend staying here.

Kindred Spirits Inn and Cottages is the perfect place to stay during your trip to Prince Edward Island, especially if you are an Anne of Green Gables fan (as it is right next door to Green Gables). The entire staff is extraordinarily kind and helpful. They genuinely care about their guests and even deliver homemade cookies to each guest during the last night of their stay. Even at 96% occupancy, Kindred Spirits was quiet and peaceful. It is an idyllic place, that was always safe and clean. If you are looking for a place to stay that has plenty of scope for the imagination, Kindred Spirits Inn and Cottages is the place for you. I hope that I get to go back some day! <3

Yelp
We had a 2 bedroom cottage that was very clean and comfortable. The grounds were well kept, and the staff was friendly. The water pressure in the shower was good, and the kitchen was stocked with the basics.

Yelp
We stayed here this summer for the 100th anniversary of Anne of Green Gables. We stayed in a wonderful cottage w/my sister-in-law+husband and mother/father-in-law. It was large and roomy with nice kitchen and living room areas. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious and different each morning. When we booked, we did it as a package and also got books, passes to several attractions/museums and tickets to 2 musicals. The location was perfect. We were able to get to most of the places we wanted to go quickly and easily. I would definitely recommend staying here again.

Yelp
Nice clean and confortable place. Super conveniently located in the center of all things Cavendish. Within walking distance to green gables, the lake of shining waters, the beach/ national park, and several restaurants. Staff are all lovely. The breakfast is delicious, and varies every day.

Yelp
I stayed here this past Saturday evening with my girlfriend. As we were checking in I mentioned to the innkeeper that we would not be attending breakfast the next morning as we were both doing the PEI marathon events. Upon hearing this she told us that they would pack us a brown bag breakfast which would be available later. Can you say awesome! We had reserved a quality room here and were shown to it by the innkeeper immediately after our check in. The room ended up being the pool suite with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with jacuzzi tub upstairs and a sitting room with TV and DVD player downstairs. At this point we were also informed that they had tea at 8 PM every night and we could pick up our lunches then. Our room was clean and nicely decorated with the bed being comfortable. I can also imagine that it would be awesome in the summer as their swimming pool was located right outside of the downstairs sitting room. We ended up arriving shortly after 8 PM for a cup of tea and had a good time in the Inn's sitting room talking to some of the other guests. While there we picked up our brown bag breakfasts to find that they had a breakfast bar, bag of nuts, apple and a juice box in them. Before we left the main sitting area we also decided to peruse their movie collection and grab one to watch on the DVD player. The selection was decent and we settled on an English Harry Potter movie (they had it in French as well). My only disappointment with their selection is that I did not see the Anne of Green Gables movie which I thought was a lock seeing how this Inn is literally right next door to the house.. The bottom line for me is that I would definitely stay here in the future. They were super accommodating to us and I think that we got a good value for what we paid, I only wish that we would have gotten to try their breakfast in the morning

Yelp
This place was lovely. Clean, fantastic shaded playground, nice pool and hot tub, friendly staff and great location. Why only 3 stars? When my family goes to a cottage we think campfire! This place is lacking the usual pit per cottage. We could maybe possibly get past it, as there is a big communal fire pit. However, you had to rent it for $25!!!! Yes it included wood, marshmallows, and roasting sticks, but that price is ridiculous! I didn't see one fire while we were there. This takes away from the cosy atmosphere. At the very least there should be a nightly fire made by staff (I've seen this at other places with a communal fire pit) or lower the price to a reasonable amount. Or even make it free - and charge for wood if you must. I would stay here again in a minute if not for this very much lacking piece.

Yelp
This is a quaint and cute place located just next door to the National Historic Green Gables House. The main inn consists of a dozen or so rooms, all decorated with pastel floral prints and white wicker furniture. We stayed at the inn for one night during low season in a 'Quality' room (e.g. the most economical room for $85/night). Furnishings, appliances, and room decor were fairly simple, but floors and bathroom fixtures were pretty updated. Walls were a little thin and I could hear faint voices in the next room, and counter or table space was a little lacking in the room (for storage or setting down items). However, the staff was especially friendly. They contacted a local restaurant for us in order to enquire whether they were open that day. In the evening, we were welcomed to sit in the parlour and chat with other guests. We met some charming people from Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Canada and the US while staff served tea and freshly baked cookies. They were also kind enough to prepare a large packed breakfast for us the next morning, since we had to depart early. Lovely place but even lovelier staff and guests. Thank you, Al and Sharon, for your hospitality.
