This is a quaint and cute place located just next door to the National Historic Green Gables House. The main inn consists of a dozen or so rooms, all decorated with pastel floral prints and white wicker furniture. We stayed at the inn for one night during low season in a 'Quality' room (e.g. the most economical room for $85/night).
Furnishings, appliances, and room decor were fairly simple, but floors and bathroom fixtures were pretty updated. Walls were a little thin and I could hear faint voices in the next room, and counter or table space was a little lacking in the room (for storage or setting down items).
However, the staff was especially friendly. They contacted a local restaurant for us in order to enquire whether they were open that day. In the evening, we were welcomed to sit in the parlour and chat with other guests. We met some charming people from Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Canada and the US while staff served tea and freshly baked cookies. They were also kind enough to prepare a large packed breakfast for us the next morning, since we had to depart early.
Lovely place but even lovelier staff and guests. Thank you, Al and Sharon, for your hospitality.
