Lovely pub that’s perfect for hanging out when the weather is beautiful. Great food and a good variety of options. Parking can sometimes be challenging (especially if they have a wedding) but always manage to find a spot somewhere. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. Electric charging points too.

My partner and I stayed at the King Arthur hotel for 2 nights, we were attending my niece's civil partnership at the hotel's wedding venue. Our room was fairly small, in the old part of the hotel, but very clean & comfortable. Staff were ALL very warm, friendly & efficient. The breakfasts are made with high quality produce & were very good. As was the food we ate in the restaurant. Large portions & high quality. The setting is beautiful with lots of outside areas to sit & watch the sheep roaming. There was even live music in the bar on Friday evening. The wedding went off without a hitch & was brilliant.|I am frankly amazed by this venue: a pub, restaurant, hotel & wedding venue. Very busy, but managing all these things with skill & charm. Very impressive. A big thankyou!

What a lovely small hotel, King Arthur Hotel! I’m not much of a meat lover, so I usually have few options when eating out, but this place was on another level. On our way back from Swansea, we stopped here and everything was just right—not too much, not too little, simply perfect 👌. I loved the classic look, spotless setting, and fresh, flavourful food. The cosy pub was a lovely touch, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and polite. A small hotel, but excellent in every way. I’ll definitely be back, can't wait.

We visit the Gower a couple of times a year and this is our favourite place to stay. We stayed in another annexe room on the ground floor this time as all the other rooms were booked. The windows open out onto the lovely garden though I didn't feel comfortable leaving them open at night being on the ground floor. Comfy bed and the bathroom was great with a bath and rain shower. The cooked breakfast was very good made with local produce and set us up nicely for a day's walking on the nearby beaches. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and it was again very good. The pie in particular was delicious with huge pieces of succulent beef. All the staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. It didn't impact our stay but the addition of a small fridge in the rooms would be nice and some pastries with breakfast. We will definitely return but try to book further in advance next time and opt for a first floor annexe room which has the better views of the beautiful gardens and beyond.

I was attending a wedding where the reception was held at the hotel. I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and from the time I arrived to the time I checked out, I have to say all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. From staff at the reception desk, to those working in the restaurant and the staff working at the wedding reception were just so organised and made the stay even more enjoyable. I cant get over how friendly and helpful they all were considering how busy it was over the weekend too. I will definitely be booking to stay there again

The King Arthur excel in customer service. From the bar to the restaurant to the rooms I can not fault their attention to detail. The location is superb and this is enhanced by the staff, the food and (occasionally) the weather. Possibly the best location to spend a summer (or winter) evening enjoying the Gower.

We came here for my mother's birthday yesterday. The staff were absolutely fantastic. They couldn't do enough for us. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was exquisite. I had the Greek Salad which was beautiful and very fresh. My mother had the chicken fillet which you said was delicious. My daughter had the chicken burger which she polished off in no time. ||I would happily recommend this beautiful restaurant to anybody.

Fabulous! Dropped in for an evening meal - had to book in advance, which was a good sign.. Staff very friendly, attentive and efficient.. An interesting and diverse choice of drinks - Great local beers and a very good Alco Free selection too.. plenty of good wines to choose from... Menu gave a good range of options.. something for everyone, and clear labelling for Gluten free and vegan options. Food very well presented, generous portions (amazing chips!) quality of meat very good - all dishes cooked perfectly, great fresh veg.. Nice decor, relaxed but stylish - pleasing on the eye. Lovely location - open onto the moors and common land - sheep grazing nearby etc - idyllic. Waiting staff focussed, fun and attentive to dietary requirements and preferences - highly professional and well turned out.. Bill very reasonable - well priced for what we had.l, and the evening we enjoyed as a result. A very classy and enjoyable dining option - would definitely recommend - and definitely advise booking. -enjoy! 10/10

Yelp
If you want an amazing authentic Wales dining experience in the country surrounded by sheep, this is a MUST stop location. We cannot say enough about the food, service and experience. The steak, steak and cheese sandwich, steak pie and mash were as good as anywhere we have eaten, all at very reasonable prices. Try the local brew too.

Yelp
The King Arthur is a truly brilliant country pub with a family bar, and adults bar and a restaurant. The pub has a large hall too that is very popular for wedding receptions. There is always a log fire in the entrance hall to the pub. And the association with King Arthur is clear for all to see. The food and the real ales are first class and reasonably priced.

Yelp
To note, I am reviewing this establishment based on its restaurant and pub. We did not stay at the hotel itself. They also have a large banquet hall which reportedly makes it a favorite site for weddings. The King Arthur Hotel is the kind of place that makes you long for a British pub (sorry, I know the Welsh are probably offended by that characterization) when you are back in the USA dreaming of warm, pumped cask bitters. The King Arthur is located in the Gower, a beautiful seaside area west of Swansea. Reynoldston is a tiny village with streets barely wide enough for one car. Despite is near monopolistic perch in the area for food (maybe they drove everyone else out of business!), they serve downright good food. They have an extensive menu of traditional fare plus more high end restaurant selections at downright reasonable prices. The restaurant is nice, the bar is bar-ish but classy and they have a huge outdoor area with picnic tables & umbrellas. At our two visits, we had Thai chicken curry, the steak & mushroom pie of the day and fish & chips. All were very good. This is one of those diamonds in the rough ... a bit of travelers luck that occasionally you come upon.

Yelp
We had been here last year for a good evening meal, and returned during a weekday at lunchtime with the kids. It's a very large inn in a lovely location, with a historic feel to it. We ate in the dining area which was relatively quiet on this occasion (April, outside of Welsh school holidays). There is a fairly extensive menu featuring a good selection of fresh fish. There is also a children's menu, reasonably priced at around £4 a head. The kids chose chicken nuggets (I love these, mum!), jumbo fish fingers (just one on the plate not jumbo enough for our 8 and 7 year olds, but good to eat) and pasta in a tomato sauce (a very generous portion which, nevertheless, was completely polished off by the 3 year old despite no accompanying grated cheese). We adults went for the Welsh rump steak and the home-made steak and mushroom pie. The pie was flavoursome although it did come with the ubiquitous cut-to-fit puff pastry lid. The steak was fine, although I had asked for it to be cooked rare and it arrived medium-well done instead. The veg were pedestrian. The kids eschewed their ice-cream menu option so home-made brownies were ordered all round (served with ice-cream; cream; custard). These were delicious although it was not advertised that they were studded with walnuts which the children were not keen on. Never mind; we got to eat up all their leftovers.
