A True Caribbean Gem! From the moment we arrived at the King Christian Hotel, we were impressed by its charming atmosphere and exceptional hospitality and surprise welcome drink! The location is unbeatable — right on the waterfront in Christiansted, offering stunning views and easy access to shops, dining, and historic sites. The staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Our room had a balcony overlooking waterfront, beautifully decorated, and had that perfect blend of modern comfort with island charm. We especially loved the on-site amenities like the pool and courtyard lounge area, which made it easy to relax and soak in the island vibes. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic getaway, a solo escape, or a laid-back vacation with friends, the King Christian Hotel delivers a first-class experience. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!

Room was not prepped for our stay at all and we stayed here for 3 days. Sheets were/is stained, bathroom smells like mole and we told them but they gave us a spray for the smell and we were out of body wash within the first day we checked in and didn't get our room service. I stayed in a better room a week prior and it was wayyyy more taken care of and prepped, had no complaints. I'm assuming the smaller rooms don't really get much appreciation for the guess but yes wasn't the best at all. Highly don't recommend the rooms on the far corner of the building, was no kind of relaxing stay would of prefer a refund than that room

Comfy room, we had the King bed with balcony facing the harbor. Stunning sunrise/sunset views, balcony very nice! The cleaning staff very friendly but didn't sweep the room? It started off a little shaky during checking, they mentioned the $25pr night energy surcharge and had us pay a $100 deposit towards said surcharge which we were not expecting. Actually it all worked out in our favor so no worries for us. OH, watch the step at front door, there's a little red sign (not nearly big enough) on front door, wifey almost face planted after kicking this step that also is not painted yellow or red so be aware please. This hotel is in a great location for walking to shops and cafes. The pool is amazingly private with calming reggae tunes softly playing in background. They do have ice available at front desk. Very nice stay we had. Would we stay here again....not sure as kinda pricey....but I would recommend..

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the King Christian Hotel. The location is amazing with beautiful views of the boats, water, and sunset. The complimentary ferry ride to Cay Beach was an added bonus! The hotel staff was super kind and helpful. They generously accommodated our room request, stowed our luggage until it was time to leave, and arranged for a taxi back to the airport. We loved our stay and will be back - thank you!

Google
best location , right on the boardwalk, walkable to everything. The staff are polite, the room was clean there is a bar on site, steak house, ice cream shop, and a brunch restaurant. ( get the coffee cake) I definitely recommend the King Christian.

Watch the billing. I had booked through booking.com and had already paid for the room through this site. Upon checkout, the hotel again charged another $1500 to my card on file. Spoke with booking manager and she repeatedly told me that online booking merely reserves a room but that room charges are separate. She also said that I didn’t understand those processes. After filing a dispute with Booking, the charges were refunded but this process took approximately five days, several hours of calls, and a giant headache. Up until that point, we enjoyed the hotel. Love the boutique vibes, the beautiful pool and views, and the convenience. Service was generally good except for the reservations/billing.

Caroline's is the place for a fantastic brunch! Generous portions of tasty food. I recommend the Bananas Foster crepe, but make sure you grab some milk, too. It's rich!

Very disappointing. I got there at lunch hour as was told that NONE of the five dining options the hotel advertises were open. For $300/night, I was given a clean but small room with no view. Also no dresser or drawers to put clothes in. Also only four hangars. Also no drinking glass in the room. No desk for one's computer. Third floor walk up. And when I went to ask for more hangars, I was told they had a shortage and might not be able to get me any more! (They did, but...) The pictures on the internet were gorgeous and it is very appealing from the front and situated right on the bay, but there's no beach. And the staff seems not to be well trained. Frankly I would expect and get more from the usual mid-level business hotel like a Hampton or Holiday Inn Express, and for a damn sight less than three hundred bucks....

Yelp
We decided to splurge a bit but felt that the pictures online look nothing like the actual rooms. The common spaces are beautifully decorated, but the sleeping rooms are very old, small, musty, covered in bugs, and loud. While some bugs are to be expected, there were bugs in the fridge, on light fixtures, and crawling around the floor. Most importantly, we found it very hard to get a good nights sleep due to all of the noise. The fire alarm went off two mornings in a row, multiple times per day. One was at 5:30 am. One was at 7:30am. Way too early for vacation! Staff said there was nothing they could do about it but made it sound like this does happen regularly due to a sensitive fire system and guests that smoke, kitchen cooking, etc. We also were in a hallway with a door and it was slamming open and shut all night with traffic. As far as the onsite restaurants, I would recommend the HH at the speakeasy Breakers Roar Tiki Bar (6-8). The coffee shop Virgin Islands Coffee Roasters was overpriced and only average. The Mexican restaurant El Leon had good drinks, and was ok for breakfast but they really had a hard time with food allergies/modifications. Good location on the boardwalk, we had to drive around to find street parking a couple times and construction closes the roads nearby frequently, but it's nice to walk. Expect many restaurants and shops nearby to be closed if it's a weekday, or no cruise ship around, etc.
