King Fern Cottage

We stayed in the female dorm room. It was beautiful. Cabin vibes. The ceiling is a skylight and the sound of the rain at night was relaxing. The beds were super comfortable and the blankets they give you are so thick. I had a great night sleep. Maybe bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in. The bathrooms were super modern. Location was great. A short walk from the main area and short tuktuk to the hikes etc. The owner was lots of fun! Also there is live music every night. It can get loud.

😊: WOW we returned after 15 years and it didn’t disappoint. It’s even bigger and better than before. The design and atmosphere of this place is amazing. Nishanta has a real creative eye. The dining area and bar are all glass fronted with beautiful views of the golf course, natural wooden hand made log tables, atmospheric lighting and a bubbling brook passing through the garden. Their hospitality was outstanding and everyone went out of their way to help us organise everything we needed for a very special two days - great food and location. Nishanta is a reggae musician and serenaded us with his songs. We saw the new bunk guest room which looks perfect for individual travellers. If we ever come back to Sri Lankan we will definitely return to King Fern Cottage..

King Fern is the king of Nuwara Eliya! We’ve spent one night here and we couldn’t pick a better stay! The owner and his friends made our night in Sri Lanka memorable with great music, laughs, beers and vibes ✌🏾💚

If you want to visit Nuwara Eliya, come to King Fern. It’s an amazing place! The owner, manager, and staff are really nice and friendly. They have live music and serve delicious food. The accommodations are up to the standards of luxury hotels. Thank you so much highly recommended! You should definitely visit this little piece of heaven.

😊: The host is a really nice guy, just as the rest of the staff. Nice clean rooms with warm blankets, wich you need in nuwara eliya! The restaurant is also good food and prices! Would really recomend staying here, you can walk few minuts to the center.. 😢: Nothing.

Very nice place to stay for a few nights. Good breakfast, friendly people, close to the town centre, helpful staff, lovely room with great beds and a really great shower. Live music in restaurant also very nice.

😊: Owner super friendly and very helpful. Drove me to town to go to the bank and lent me some cash to pay taxi. Fabulous fluffy blankets ... Best in Sri Lanka; fun to play pool and setting next to golf course very green and picturesque. 😢: Restaurant could have been better.
