Kingfisher Bay Resort

We stayed in a villa which was awesome. The spa on the deck was amazing and the four of us squished in together most nights under the stars. The beds were super comfy as well.||We were very underwhelmed by the food choice and restaurant service. If we stayed again we would definitely pack more groceries and do more cooking as the kitchens are reasonably stocked.||We booked the kids into the Junior Rangers one evening which was awesome. They had a lovely time and it gave us a chance to have a date night. ||We drove our own vehicle and did our own site seeing. Reception were good at providing us with any information we needed which was helpful.||The day spa was beautiful. I had a lovely massage and facial.

A totally relaxing yet full of adventure holiday. The 4WD Beauty spots tour gave us an understanding for the island and the self-guided walks helped us feel the beauty of K'gari. The food was exceptional. The amenities were first rate. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Well, Kingfisher Bay Resort — you really surprised us! This was our first time on the island, and we didn’t quite know what to expect. We only had one night to enjoy it, but it was clear you really need at least two nights to take in everything it has to offer. As soon as we arrived, we did a trek along the Beerillbee Trail, which was an easy and enjoyable walk. With more time, we would have loved to walk to Lake McKenzie and back — definitely something for next time! The resort itself is well established, with good food and drink options that are reasonably priced. A few extra costs were a bit of a surprise, like the price per person for the light show (which we didn’t do) and the cost of the ferry just to get across as a foot passenger without a vehicle. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would be keen to come back again in the future. Our hotel-style room was neat, tidy, spacious, and clean, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Just missed out on that 5th star due to cost of extras. Looking forward to next time!

If I could, this place would be like 4.5 stars, the main issues I have are the the food options at the resort. They have like 3 restaurants but all spots are quite expensive for the food they serve, like $30 per person for not much food. The buffet breakfast was quite nice. Good variety and selection of food and drink. Best to get there early (7:30ish) because there isn't much seating when the place gets busy and you can be waiting for up to 30 minutes for food. Good access to the port to drive back to mainland Australia which is very nice. The aircon in the rooms were a life saver too. Big bathroom was nice and the bedding was very very very nice. Very unexpected.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Great villas although they are located up a steep hill. Food/Drinks expensive and pool not heated. The beauty spots tour is a must. Overall a great time had by all.

Terrific staff and well-designed eco-friendly facilities. A suggestion - please have a choice of thinner pillows available & decaf tea and coffee. Food was great, but with limited gluten and dairy-free options. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.

Had a great experience at Kingfisher Bay resort||All the staff from check in to check out, cleaning staff, staff at the Village store were so friendly and accommodating ||Tour guide Peter was funny and nice to show us places with lots of jokes and a lot of information about the whole island. Oh my he is such a great photographer too. His photos displayed throughout the resort. The ranges were full of knowledge about the many plant species round the resort ||We had an amazing time and will be visiting again ||Thank you so much everyone one of you
