Kingfisher Bay Resort

We had an amazing stay at kingfisher resort. The kids loved it and there was lots to do. Villas were great. Everything was in close proximity and walking distance. The hotel had lots of amenities and restaurants bars etc. ||sunset bar is a great spot to sit back and watch the sunset over the great sandy straight! Lots of history on this island, lake McKenzie is a must do and see ! It was stunning ||Will be back !

Overall Atmosphere: The resort offers a pleasant atmosphere and a beautiful island experience. Service: While most of the staff were friendly and professional, we did encounter a few instances of miscommunication and less-than-ideal service. With some additional training, the overall service experience could be greatly improved. Restaurant Experience: The Sand and Wood restaurant has potential but would benefit from greater consistency in service. There were some misunderstandings regarding food delivery policies and occasional lapses in attentiveness from staff. Addressing these issues could enhance the dining experience significantly. Island and Tour Guide: The island itself is breathtaking, and our tour guide made our trip truly special with excellent insights and support throughout. Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet offers basic options like cheese, bacon, ham, and bread. While it meets basic expectations, a more varied selection would elevate the experience for guests. Conclusion: The resort’s beautiful setting and excellent tour guide were the highlights of our stay. While there were minor service issues with a few staff members, the majority were helpful and professional. We’re hopeful that management will take steps to address these areas and improve the overall guest experience.

The resort itself is everything you could want: clean and very spacious villas, boasting a beautiful view on the sea. Swimming pool is great, with lots of shaded areas and the beach and forests are just a stroll away. There is a convenience shop across the reception. The only downside from my perspective was the food. Restaurants close very early (if you book an evening tour make sure you have dinner before or risk not having dinner) and staff seemed overwhelmed. When we were there, there weren’t many people (2 large tables of 10 people but then only 3 tables of 2) but they turned us away. Despite it stating on the website that the pool restaurant didn’t require booking... So we ended up at the other restaurant but had to go there under torrential rain. Luckily, there is a regular shuttle to go from one location to the other. At checkout, our bill didn’t match our booking, so we asked for details which were provided verbally. After settling the bill, we received the next day the itemized invoice and realized that it was wrong. Thankfully, the resort rapidly corrected and processed a refund. But my recommendation for the resort would be to directly issue the itemized bill to prevent any back and forth. Finally, I would strongly recommend booking the various tours and presentations delivered by passionate experts and filled with interesting information.

Great time there, the staff was very helpful especially the French girl at the reception desk. Amazing location and great food. Love the pond views from the room, the pool is clean and the jacuzzi too. No dingoes in the area your kids are safe.

Nice service , staff members are so kind. Breakfast Buffet is traditional but generous, a lot of protein options, also vegetarian options (not as much as protein, but really good). Great environment, I recommend the Bush tucker experience, you will learn about the island and some native products you can find here, its not a lunch or a snack meal, it a informative experience, we paid $50 each.

We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher Bay Resort. The resort facilities were fabulous and the villa was well equiped and lovely. Tammy was very nice and helpful. She was amazing at helping us out with an early departure ferry back to River Heads. Great experience, thank you.

Wonderful relaxed family resort with great activities for the kids. The Segway and light show were amazing and the kids loved the eco ranger experience. The island as always shines in any weather though we were blessed with sunshine. We love our sneaky lake McKenzie spot but always need to arrive early to get a park.

Great family holiday, fantastic villas for families.||The beauty spot tour is highly recommended, our kids loved swimming in the lake, floating down the Eli creek river and spotting dingos on the beach. The resort has everything you need and we stayed for New Year Eve and had a great time dancing with the DJ.
