Kings Arms Hotel

My partner and I had a fantastic stay, we arrived quite late, however the greeting was warm and friendly and they fitted us in for a meal just before the kitchen closed. We had a loft room which we loved. Breakfast was excellent quality as was our evening meal. The staff could not do enough to make our stay an excellent one, would highly recommend giving this hotel a visit if you are in the area for a break.

What a fabulous place through to the room, Staff and Breakfast. Entertainment last night and a lovely atmosphere in the pub. We will definitely be back in the future. Thanks again Karen and Stuart.

I just hosted my 70th birthday party in the lovely function room at the Kings Arms. On a very hot day, it was deliciously cool and comfortable, thanks to the air conditioning, even though the sun was streaming in through the glass roof. Everyone loved the buffet menu and commented on how delicious it all was. The team were brilliant, taking excellent care of us all (32 people) through the afternoon and it was really good value in terms of the price per head and the cost of wine by the bottle. Cannot recommend any more highly!

The stay we had was a lovely experience. The food we had from their restaurant was amazing. Real home cooked food. There home made tar tar sauce with there fish and chips was one of the best I ever had. I would also recommend there puddings. Breakfast was also cooked fresh. None of this cook it and leave it on a hot plate. You put your order in and it was cooked fresh. We will definitely be returning as there so much to do in the area.

I stayed for one night so that I was closer to my final destination. My room was clean and comfortable and I slept well. I ate an evening meal at the pub & had a couple of beers all good and reasonably priced. The next morning I had a large breakfast which was tasty.

Loved every minute of our stay here. We stayed in room 2 with the two Dogs. We were all made to feel very welcome the moment we got there. The room itself is very spacious, a beautiful antique bed at the foot of it is a comfy sofa. Nice sized tv that has iPlayer and free view. The shower room en-suite is very generous in size with Jack and Jill Sinks. The shower itself is easy to use and is quite powerful, I loved it. The Dogs had a mat and two bowls set out ready and waiting for them. Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate making facilities sat next to the tv area on a lovely little table with a kettle. Very handy. Some adorable art on the walls made for a very homely feel to the room. The view from the main window is stunning and helpfully overlooked the car park where the car was parked, a single glance and we could check to see the car was fine. Dining in the hotel was a pleasure, we had a Dog each on our laps during breakfast and our evening meal. The Chef prepared Pork Sausages for the Dogs at each sitting. The food we had there was delicious, nice sized portions, not long to wait and served with a smile. Sam, the Manager, was very friendly, helpful and certainly made us all feel very much at home. His Staff were all very friendly and helpful too. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxed. We sat out in the small, but very well set out courtyard many times to Vape and chat with the other guests, Sam and his Staff. Everyone was so friendly. We popped in the Bar to order drinks, but didn’t sit in there (we preferred to sit where we can Vape) , very nicely set out Bar, our drinks were brought out to us after ordering, so that was appreciated too. Whenever we popped out for Dog walks or shopping, the Hotel kindly asked we drop our room key off at reception. We never had to wait around to drop our key off or pick it up, another greatly appreciated part of staying, someone was always ready to help. There is quite literally nothing we could find to fault the hotel on , not that we were looking to of course. We fully intend to come back, and soon. This was a break that we all needed and we loved every minute, as I believe I started out by saying.

From first encounters to farewells, the Kings Arms was truly an amazing place to spend my 40th birthday celebrations with family. From the rooms (with a huge 40th ballon, thank you) to the decorative autumn vibe function room with mouthwatering dinner treats to the cosy snug in the bar for a full English! The staff were smiley and inviting and they couldn’t do enough for you! It’s what makes the atmosphere at the Kings Arms a LUSH place to spend time with family and friends. Thank you all again!

I travelled up to see friends and met at the Kings Arms Hotel. Lovely location, lovely hotel interior. Didn't stay in the rooms though. Lunch was very good. I had the Chicken Souvlaki which was delicious. All the food was well presented and everyone enjoyed their meals. We ate outside in the square and the service was quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
