I'm a sixth grader at Kings Fork. I was enrolled on the fourth day because I was sent the wrong schedule over break and I ended up being put in Forest Glenn. Forest Glenn was actually a decent school, despite the crowded lunchroom and the kids kind of act stuck up. I was upset when I came to Kings Fork. On my first day I could already see that it was going to be a bad experience. The students roam wild in the mornings when they're going to their lockers, and I have seen several fights break out in the hallways. Breakfast is decent but there is only one staff member directing the line, and she barely pays attention. At lunch, it's a whole different story. Most of the cafeteria workers are rude, and the food is greasy and uncooked. The teachers are rude, and let the kids do what they please. There was once a chair thrown against the wall in the classroomover and nobody did anything. Bathrooms are DISGUSTING. There is no air freshener in the bathrooms and it constantly smells like fecal matter. One of the teachers even cursed in front of the students and received no type of punishment.

First year in the school so my son is in 6th grade. Half the year gone and here's my thoughts thus far: Prior to coming to this school I was told alot about fighting and other kids being distractions and how these things effected the overall rating of the school. I'd have to say that's true. His teachers seem to ACTUALLY care about his success and behavior. I visited the school and everyone one including teachers that weren't his knew who he was and ALL had nice things to say about him. I love how the doors are open to be able to interact with my son during class hours. This is my favorite feature of the school! However, my biggest gripe is the communication between the school and the parents. I NEVER know what is going on in the school! No flyers get sent home, no emailed information, no automated phone calls no nothing! Yet I will get repeated phone calls and emails about a late/missing book.

The principles are clearly just there for a paycheck because they treat the good kids poorly and the bad kids like angels they let their emotions take over instead of doing their job i now understand why the teachers act the way they do towards the kids because they have very poor lack of guidance. I am so glad this is my daughter last year at this school the only great people there are the janitors I mean you can tell by the reviews it's not a good school and clearly it's the principles there

A couple teachers are pretty nice, but the education systems has failed me. I have clinical depression and extreme fatigue with all the unnecessary standardized testing, classwork, homework, and pressure put on myself that my grades define who I am. The food is sickening and many teachers have no respect for students who are literally CHILDREN. The emphasis on SOLs is irrational. I've seen so many breakdowns from my pupils because of the way education is percieved more important than the mental stability of developing kids. Anytime a student may complain about another harassing them they're swept under the rug and blamed for being bullied. The dress code prevents students expressing their selves and is extremely sexist and purely aimed towards girls to cover up just because boys aren't taught to control themselves. This doesn't cover half of the corruption of this school but it's more of the education system that is messed up.

its not a good school. they some of my teachers barely teach and then wonder why we are talking all the time in class.also i really hate it cuz like they dont teach and its not clean it smells like old poop, must, feet, period blood, and hot breath and they have the nerve to give us a test when they didnt teach us anything and the kids are just mean always catching attitudes and then wanna fight like go sit go and eat a ham sandwitch. then the teacher wanna catch an attitude with u cuz u dont know the answer, how we gonna know if u dont teach, i really think they do that cuz they dont know the answer

Being a 6th grade mom, KFMS has already impressed me. They have made the transition from elementary to middle easy. My daughter goes to school happy and comes home happy. I’ve never seen her this enthused in going to school. I hope the enthusiasm sticks.

If there is anything this school has offered then its how the teachers and staff could not be more disrespectful and they ignore the students and nothing is fair for the students (rule wise) and there are countless fights every month so this is what ive learned from attending this school from grade 6-8

The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal.
