Kings Lodge - Bandhavgarh National Park

We loved this place - our favourite place of the several we stayed at during our time in India. The rooms are wonderful and a delight - so spacious and comfortable as well as tastefully furnished. The staff are superb - not invasive but attentive. The atmosphere within the Lodge was so relaxed as well as professional. The food was delightful and we would recommend this place to anybody in a heartbeat. We were there for Christmas Day plus a few extra days and we really did love it. Nature talks are also given and we only managed to attend 1 due to a shortage of time but this was an added bonus. 10 out of 10!

We had the BEST time staying at the kings lodge in Bandhavgahr. The food was excellent, the staff were amazing and the rooms were really nice. There was a lovely ritual each night of listening to the naturalists speak about a specific animal(s) and then having some snacks and a drink round the firepit with the other guests before dinner. A special shout out to Vishvajeet who was our naturalist during the safari, he was excellent. We would recommend this experience to anyone!!

Our experience at Kings Lodge was simply amazing. The Lodge is incredible but the big difference is made by the GREAT staff which is perfectly trained and ready to assist guests with extreme kindness and professionalism in all of their needs, providing a very high level experience. We also had the opportunity to do 6 safaris during our 4 days stay and the drivers did a great job as well giving us the chance to spot tigers multiple times both in core and buffer zone. Overall it has been a very unique experience for us and all the other guests who were there in those days seemed to be very happy as well. Highly recommended. 10/10

Exceptional Hospitality & a Truly Memorable Stay We stayed at Kings Lodge in the first week of January for three nights, and it was nothing short of an exceptional, king-like experience. From check-in to check-out, the hospitality was outstanding and consistently thoughtful. Each time we returned to the lodge—especially after safaris—we were warmly welcomed with fresh towels and refreshing drinks. The food was excellent, with every meal being delicious and well curated. A special appreciation for the care taken with our son’s cashew and pista allergies—the team went above and beyond to ensure his meals were safe, which meant a lot to us. The property itself is beautiful and serene, and the entire staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Although our safaris were arranged through an external operator, Kings Lodge ensured every safari morning was comfortable and seamless by providing blankets, hot water bags, a thoughtfully packed breakfast, and useful insights into daily wildlife sightings. Evenings around the bonfire with tea, snacks, popcorn, and personalized service were the perfect way to unwind after long days. The gesture of offering homemade ice creams and packed snacks at checkout, even though we were heading to another resort within Bandhavgarh, truly reflected their exceptional level of hospitality. A special thank you to Pritam, Sant Laal, Shiv Kumar, and the entire Kings Lodge team for making our stay so memorable. This was our first experience with a Pugdundee Safari Lodge, and it certainly won’t be our last ! Highly recommend.

We stayed briefly in the hotel (2 nights) but we had an amazing experience. The place is inside the forest which makes it very beautiful. Everything is well taken care of, and the rooms are very spacious and clean! We had 3 safaris which all of them were great, and our naturalist (Uttam) was extremely helpful and keen on helping us get the most out of our safaris! Now, the service and the hospitality in this lodge is unforgettable! Everyone is helpful and polite and you are treated the best possible way. They packed us lunches and breakfasts for the safaris and they even packed us lunch when we were leaving for the airport. I cannot recommend this place enough, it's 10/10!!

Kings Lodge was a lovely place to stay. Our room was so comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and efficient and looked after us very well. The food was wonderful. We had four super game drives, and our driver, Ramesh, was also a great guide. We saw so many animals, including several tigers and the highlight was a leopard, who kindly stopped to pose for a photo. Little touches like hot water bottles helped to ensure our comfort when it was chilly. A fantastic experience altogether.

We had a wonderful two nights at this lodge. It is right next to the Bandhavgargh Nature Park. We come to see the tigers - and did! We had three game drives while staying here with an excellent driver and guide. At this time of year, you normally see the tigers one out of three drives and that was what we experienced. We paid extra for a private jeep. ||The rooms all are separate cottages - atmospheric. Ours was elevated and private. The bed was firm but comfortable and the bathroom area was spacious. At night, the temperature dropped. Housekeeping put hot water bottles in our bed and supplied them for the morning game drive. The room was cool but there was a space heater. ||The chef made the best food of our trip. We would be happy to return and will recommend this lodge to others. ||I had expected to see the tigers for hours and not share the experience with anyone. The reality is that tigers are shy and difficult to spot. This was as good as it gets.

Top class hospitality and superb food. Great outdoors as they nestled in jungle with amazing bird life. Sometimes tigers pug marks in the property leave you stunned. The staff is very helpful. They understand your needs before you could ask for.
