"Feel like a Shopping King For the shopper, fine fashion and luxury stores dot the tropically appointed walkways around Kings' Shops at Waikoloa Beach Resort. It’s an idyllic one stop shop for a romantic evening out with dinner at Roy’s Waikoloa Bar & Grill and a possible stop to purchase that ring at Tiffany’s—if your heart desires. Beyond waterways and lazy stone paths, surf shops like Honolua Surf Co. and Rip Curl keep the atmosphere beachy and island gift shops make Kings' Shops a great place to pick up any souvenirs you want to bring home. On Wednesday the shops host a market and live blues music. Tours to see the nearby petroglyphs start at the Island Fish and Chips stand and if you’re fortunate, you’ll get a hula show, too."

There is a mini golf ⛳️ course by the shell station. Me, my wife and brother in law and his girlfriend played here. The atmosphere was wonderful! That being said, bring bug spray haha!

Pretty nice. Decent restaurants. Shave ice place. Easy to walk. Bad for parking.

While still in high season it felt barren for a Friday night at 6pm. A stark contrast to the many Orlando areas in high season (mid month August). It’s a charming higher end outdoor shopping mall with a highly manicured Hawaiian theme. Everything feels more like a corporate roadmap vs. independent concept. There’s a handful of galleries. For the kids there’s also a kid’s museum. It’s also peppered with a few eateries, coffee shops, and shaved ice. All surrounded by calming views of the local resorts.

Google
Had a great visit to this shopping center! Catered towards those staying in the Resort due to is location. Lots of places for shopping and food! Great selection of restaurants both dining in and takeaway, with great waterside views. I've cream, gelato and shaved ice on point, with the warm temps!

joel hartzman

Google
Great stores and restaurants for everyone to enjoy. This is a place that you will want to visit more than once. The Polynesian fire dance show that they have after dark was great, it was like attending a luau show without the food. The best part was that it's free and kid friendly.

Google
We walked it! Paved sidewalk and shade just a little under 1 mile from the Hilton. Beautiful views, shops, and the best shaved iced

James Helman

Google
We attended the "Fires of Polynesia" with our grandchildren and had a blast. It's a free show that lasts about an hour so it works out great for the elementary aged kids. Terrific entertainment, fun and well done.

Google
Amongst the high end jewelry shops and clothing boutiques you will find some nice eateries, a coffee shop, ice cream parlor and a candy store. There is even a randomly placed motorcycle dealership. And yes, there is a general store that sells liquors! All this in a beautiful, outdoor, park-like setting where they play Hawaiian music. The motto on their sign is, "King Shops - Where you belong!" Yeah, I wish I could afford to belong here. Lol

Yelp
We enjoy this shopping center with lovely plazas, Farmers Market and shay places to sit and contemplate... upscale restaurants, beautiful clothes too. The Farmers market is Tuesday Mornings- ripe Papaya is a big deal and available here. Lots of fruits and specialty breads/pastries too! ( Grocery Stores sell green papaya that takes a few days to ripen)
google avatar

Yelp
Great Tommy Bahama store. Ice cream stuff is overrated and the restaurant that we went to on water side was awful.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a small cluster of shops right in the middle of the resort and condo communities. There are a few decent restaurants here, and several very nice galleries in addition to a Tiffany and Co. and Michael Kors. We found a few things we had to have, and many more we wanted but just couldn't justify buying no matter how hard we tried. We will come back on our next visit to the island if our credit score holds.

Yelp
Great shops; wonderful dining. I cannot wait A Bay's Island Grill has amazing breakfast and cocktails. Was also there for lunch and the tacos were great but the crab cakes were the best!!! Also ate dinner at Roy's and aside from the great service and food, it was an evening off the charts! While shopping, I discovered an extremely talented jewelry designer featuring Designs by M, Sea Rain Jewelry. Her wire wrapped designs are a talent off the charts. Check her out on Etsy. A true example of the island spirit. Tommy Bahama did not disappoint- love their shop and its incredible offerings. I can't wait to return

Yelp
Variety of shops and cafe, prices are somewhat reasonable, parking lot available, facilities are clean.

Yelp
This is one of the higher end outdoor shopping malls in Hawaii. It's a nice place to walk around if you want to explore the area. You can buy fancy clothes or jewelry and accessories if you have the money. There's also some restaurants if you're hungry. We mainly came here for the farmer's market. We got some yummy fresh fruit to bring back to the hotel. Lots of free parking in the lot.
google avatar

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
These shops aren't really up my alley. My parents stay a 5 minute walk away, but we didn't come here often. It's mostly a bunch of expensive stores and restaurants. A lot of it is touristy. I'm also not usually looking to go shopping while in Hawaii. We did stop by twice. We came once for the farmers' market on Wednesdays which is a nice little market. We came another time for a shave ice truck that was parked in the parking lot. It's a nice outdoor shopping center, so if you like the types of stores it would be a nice place to come.

Yelp
Nice outside mall. Beautiful things to buy for friends & family. We bought some cool things to bring home.

Yelp
The King's Shops are a shopping plaza in the Kona area that have lots of boutique stores for clothing and souvenirs, eateries, snacks and more. They have a parking lot and the whole thing is easily accessible and close to a golf resort and more. Easy to come through and get your shopping done, grab a bite to eat and browse the shops until you can't pack anything else in your suitcase! A solid spot with publicly accessible bathrooms as well and puts you in a great spot to take a rest before getting back to your busy day of activités.

Yelp
Decided to spend the morning shopping around the village. Kings shops was our first stop. We weren't quite sure what they would have, but we were on vacation, so we decided to stop by. Note that we are from Oahu, so there's nothing that is different from Oahu. However, it was Black Friday, so there were some deals. We only shopped at two places here. One was Rip Curl, who was having a spend $80 and get a free hat or shirt. Not a super awesome Black Friday deal, but they had some nice things. My husband ended up buying a couple pairs of shorts and shirts. Then, he got a shirt for free. The second place we went to was San Lorenzo. They had an even better deal of 40% off with an additional 15% off. They even had bins of separated for $25. They were super cute, but I was on a time crunch to check out before the 40% off went away and the 30% off started. Many of the stores did offer Kama'aina or military discount, but of course could not be stacked with the other discounts. Overall, it is a higher end strip mall with lots of different stores for tourist. We came on the perfect day because the stores were offering a lot of different deals. It is a very nice area with a nice view. These are the only shops within walking distance from the hotels in the village other than queens marketplace. There's a parking lot and also a gas station as well.

Yelp
Very small shopping area with only a few stores and restaurants. In the main walking area they had many kiosks/tents with locals selling jams, jellies, gluten-free baked goods, and arts. Parking was easy, and they had a lot of outdoor seating, but overall nothing exciting here.
google avatar

Nikki D.

Yelp
We loved the general store and the shaved ice stores. We even were able to relax at the pond and eat our packed lunch in the shade. All of the stores had unique finds that kept our window shopping interesting.
google avatar

Courtney K.

Yelp
Bottom Line: Lots of high end mainland stores with a few local shops sprinkled in. Like many of shopping centers in the touristy areas of the state of Hawaii, the Kings' Shops has many high end stores that are common on the mainland like Tiffany's, Michael Kors, Tommy Bahama, etc. But, there is some local flair in this shopping center too like Whaler's General Store for snacks and souvenirs, Tori Richard for nice Hawaiian shirts and resort ware and Genesis Galleries for local art. This shopping center is older than Queen's Marketplace across the street but is still nice with pretty landscaping.
google avatar

Paul F.

Yelp
Another small shopping complex in the village area. Since the queen shops carry most of the traffic this is the secondary option. Anchor is a few restaurants, Tommy's Bahamas' and a Macy's. A few others and a nice art gallery. Nothing special, no entertainment, grab and go food or anything of that nature. Staff in the shops are nice. I did see some payphones and Soda machine. Mainly came here to get extra steps while walking around and hit up the Macy's for some clearance buys. The stores here are a bit higher end and spendy then the queens. More to golfers since near the course. Did have a massage tent near the back.

Yelp
This shopping center is located directly across the street from the Marriott Waikoloa Beach andd Resort property. It contains some major brand name shops such as Macy's, Michael Kors, Tommy Bahama, Sunglasses Hut, and Tiffany's. There are many "trendy" tourist shops that have tourist type shirts, sandals, and other kinds of clothing. Even has a convienence store on the property that sells food, beer, soda, and other items. If your main purpose to go in here is shopping at Macy's since it's so prominently visble, you may be dissapointed due to its size. I'd refer to it as "Macy's Express" for the mean time. You can't compare these to the big ones in the city and locally in Hayward. Phone reception... It's correct, to a certain extent. I have Metro PCS which is owned by T Mobile and it's spotty to an extent. If you can find Wifi, I would turn on the call over Wifi feature to extend your coverage.
google avatar

Yelp
While the queens marketplace has knick knack store, coffee shops, and eateries. The kings shop has more brand stores such as Tiffany, Macy's, and higher end eateries like Roy's. Note to T-Mobile users, you don't get signal here like at most places on the big island. ATT and Verizon users will be fine.
google avatar

Hilda V.

Yelp
Loved the shops, high end shopping, great restaurants and a farmers market on Wednesday. Enjoyed the Tommy Bahama shop especially. Dinner at Roy's nice.

Yelp
I'm not a big spender and I didn't go to the Big Island to go shopping. However, this trip was to celebrate a big anniversary. King's Shops has a very pleasant and relaxed outdoor ambience, complete with a farmer's market. I enjoyed buying Hawaii-themed gifts at Crazy Shirts. This store has all-cotton shirts with cute graphics. Some shirts are dyed with novel ingredients. My chocolate -dyed shirt is brown and indeed smells like a cup of milky hot chocolate. Speaking from experience, these shirts last for years and the fragrances keep for a long time. I also loved Na Hoku and Maui Divers Shops. "Pearl diving" is fun, and they make a ritual of opening your very own oyster. Hawaiian-themed gold slippers pendants are sold at reasonable prices with the added bonus of Hawaii's 4% sales tax. Compared to home, these are very good rates. I don't shop much, but when I do, I like to do it with the spirit of Aloha.
google avatar

Lanie S.

Yelp
Not too many stores which is good cuz it's easily walkable. They got the gourmet grocery which is like a large convenience store, love it there. Pretty much get all your souvenirs there like a larger abc store.
google avatar

Ariel A.

Yelp
Wasn't too impressed with kings shop. Everything was overpriced. A kids meal of chicken fingers and fries came out to $9
google avatar

Pauline S.

Yelp
We left my husbands wallet on top of car at the gas station, it fell off as we drove and was picked up by someone who turned it into security. They verified it was us and gave it back! How cool is it that your wallet is lost and turned in without a single problem!
google avatar

Vanessa F.

Yelp
They have everything you'll need in case you forgot to pack something or felt a sudden craving for some food or coffee. Beware though, it's expensive! As is everything on the island... We packed what snacks/groceries in our suitcases so we could avoid the $8 boxes of cereal.
google avatar

Janelle L.

Yelp
This is a great lakeside shopping center with high end retailers and beautiful art galleries. Conveniently located in the resort area of Waikoloa. Aside from the shops, there are some great restaurants too. One of my favorite shopping centers along the Kohala Coast.
google avatar

Mark Y.

Yelp
Queens market place is for the common folks to find necessities Kings shops is for rich people to blow money. :) Not saying that's a bad thing but that is what it is. Nice shops. Prices are representatively high.
google avatar

Susan W.

Yelp
If you have forgotten to pack something for your vacation you can probably find it here. I got hubby a visor from one store & some sunscreen & a reusable folding cooler bag at the Whalers Village Store. Not too many restaurants. I think 3 total. 2 sit down & one "to go" place, Island Fish & Chips.
google avatar

Katherine F.

Yelp
Well, if you are a shopper...the Big Island may not be for you. I am a big fan of small towns, and unique shops...but we did not find much of that here. We decided to try the King's Shops because that is something we do on vacation. It reminded me of my mall, only out door...they had jewelry, shoes (the same as my mall at home), a small, limited Macy's...should have been called "Macy's Resort", Louis Vuitton, Cinnamon Girl, you get it. Oh, and a koi pond that the little one loved!! And dancers performed for free...that was so nice!! I needed more comfortable shoes...my feet just can not do flip-flops anymore...so sad! But I found exactly what I needed. DD and I both found something we desired, so it worked for us. I got a beautiful crochet topper by Eileen Fisher, and I was also able to get a gift for my niece's birthday...that I am sure she will love. Not the small, unique shops I wanted, but we liked it!!
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
Well la dee dah, fancypants. If you've got money, you might like this better than Queens' MarketPlace across the street. Kings' has a Vuitton, Tiffany's, etc., as well as full-fledged restaurants, although not that many. There were weird trees with roots that go 2' up from the ground, and pretty planters to sit on while you're waiting for someone, also tourist fronts where you'll be offered some pretty good discounts for rentals/fun all over the island (snorkeling, scuba diving, helicopter rides, ATVs, horse riding, swimming with manta rays) if you go to a timeshare presentation.
google avatar

S N.

Yelp
Eugh. Boring. They have a few nice galleries, and a good restaurant serving home style island cooking (Koa TABLE- try their loco moco!). Macy's is tiny and has a crap selection (unless you're into oversized outdated garb?). I'd pass on this place unless you're grabbing a table at Koa.
google avatar

Mae S.

Yelp
Upscale shops that seem to offer the same exact merchandise year after year: high-priced art glass, Noa-Noa Indonesian batik clothing (nice but never changes), upscale kids' clothes, Merriman's cafe (restaurant in Kamuela is supposed to be better so I always go there), other restaurants (touristy upscale), Crazy Shirts and other tees (can also get them in downtown Kona), Coach, Nahoku expensive jewelry (bigger selection at Kona store)...The first 4 or 5 times I was there, I really liked the shopping -- but it never changes. You might like it if you've never been there before -- especially Noa Noa if you like batik. So why go there? Because it's the one and only place you can see a vast field of ancient hawaiian petroglyphs, which are tucked into the vast golf course for this high-level resort complex. It's heartbreaking to see the disrespect for this important cultural property, but there you have it. Every time I go, the petroglyph field seems to have been defaced by more "bubba glyphs" : that is, modern grafitti writers adding their names or whatever. There's no effort at preservation, and the fascinating petroglyphs seem more dwarfed by the golf course every time I go. But to see them -- you park at the King's Shops and follow the signs.

Yelp
KINGS' SHOPs: Located in the Waikoloa Beach Resort on the north side of Queens' Market Place. We went to Roys twice during this stay. Got my favorite shoes on sale at Walking Company. ATM machine is close to the Roys.
google avatar

Denni P.

Yelp
Unique shopping experience in a place you wouldn't think has high end shops on the Big Island. Worth a mingle if you like to shop and find yourself on the Big Island.
google avatar

Angeline R.

Yelp
The Kings' Shops is a really nice place to walk through at night and don't mind spending. If you want to stay on the cheaper side, go to the Queen's Shops which is located just a short ways down from King's Shops. Almost all of the shops here are upscale such as Louis Vuitton, Coach, and Na Hoku. This shopping area holds a special place in my heart because it's where I received my very first Coach bag. The sales personnel were very friendly and very helpful while I was trying to decide which bag I liked best. My boyfriend (who bought the bag for me) is from Hawaii and received a great discount because he is a resident, so definitely look into it if you're planning on buying a new bag!
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
What a great collection of little stores. They have high end name brand stores with a cute "mini" macy's there. What I like best though are the restaurants with my personal favorite being the fish and chips. I went there every morning to start off my day right! They have a convenience store there so if you're away from home and forgot something, you can pick it up there or you can pick up some snacks for your daily touring. The shops are next to a man made lake where every morning, the koi come to the railing sides obviously due to being trained to get food there. There is also a Shell gas station next to the stores so if you need to fill up on gas, it's right there! The shopping center is also located across the street from the Waikoloa Beach Marriott.
google avatar

Marcela P.

Yelp
It was ok... but fairly over priced. Walked around to try and do some shopping but nothing really "stood out" ... This place was recommended to go to from our hotel
google avatar

Jackson L.

Yelp
Decent but touristy shops inside of the Waikoloa Resort right across from the Marriott. I actually found these shops to be better than the ones up in Queen's Marketplace. Merriam's Mediterranean Cuisine was very tasty, and the outdoor seating was pleasant under the umbrellas. I liked the Crazy Shirt store and the little, small boutique market. There's a small Macy's that carries proprietary island merchandise. Some of the other tenants were less than stellar (including Roy's and the Pig Pub Restaurant). Overall, a surprisingly decent place to get some lunch or shop around.
google avatar

Vicky K.

Yelp
Prime shopping real estate. :) they have high end shopping here. LOVE IT!!!!
google avatar

Lorrie K.

Yelp
Nothing special nothing you can't find back home if you live in a major city center. Hey you're in Hawaii why waste your time in an overpriced mall?
google avatar

Kent M.

Yelp
The KIngs' Shops is a great place to spend an afternoon if you are staying at any the Waikoloa Beach resorts. The shops here are quite high end, with names like Louis Vuitton and Tiffany's included in the selection. If you're not looking to spend (or window shop, like I did), you may want to take a pass. There are some moderately priced options (Macys, etc.) and some chain stores such as Solstice (which, by the way, employed the most friendly sunglass salesperson I've ever met). The high end aesthetic comes with added benefits: lovely spaces, well-landscaped ponds and fountains, and a couple of nice dining selections. Check it out while you're here! Goodness knows, if you're at Waikoloa, your options are limited without driving to Kona.
google avatar

harold h.

Yelp
This is a shopping area that clearly posts signs that It is on private property, and does not permit shouting/loud noises. Very quiet place, low traffic, easy to shop for your goods. Very good they have Louis Vuitton here.
google avatar

Cyrus M.

Yelp
The older of the two shopping centers in the Waikoloa resort area,It has a relaxed atmosphere and the workers for the shopping center are very friendly the Tourists as anywhere could be kind of snooty. There's a few surf shops I like Roy's restaurant is excellent definitely a five-star place but you also pay the prices wasn't happy with a bay café another restaurant continually closes because the location and Foster's kitchen is move again I wish them luck over the years it's better like I set up for location did you have a small Macy's there is a good fish and chips takeout place also bicycle moped and motorcycle rental you can go to the website for the king shops to learn more about what's .What are the key features that I like is plenty of parking on both sides of the shopping center and on the ocean side of the shopping center or you can park and walk across the street to the Marriott and beach at Anehoomalu. Say that three times fast
google avatar

Matt F.

Yelp
Nice shopping center in waikoloa with a good mix of shops. We are at roys and shopped at whalers general store for nuts, chocolates, and souvenirs. It's a quick walk through, but there is a decent variety of shops here. On the night we went, there was even an olde time band playing music in the center of the square for all to here. Only one spectator was actually sitting and watching, but it was a nice touch for some background music. We also stopped in tommy bahama, but didn't purchase anything, although it was not due to lack of selection. Parking is ample and easily accessible, and this center was a short twenty minute drive up the highway from where we were staying at the four seasons. It was quiet when we went, but it was a Monday night.
google avatar

Julia SD A.

Yelp
Great daily entertainment! We've enjoyed beautiful Hula dancing, slack key guitar playing, and shopping. A great place to enjoy Hawaiian culture and shop for Polynesian gifts.
google avatar

Joy A.

Yelp
For all our trips, I always enjoy walking around the Kings' Shops. They have some high end stores like LV...you can find some local items...and some great places to eat like Roy's. It is close to the Hilton and Marriott which makes it convenient if you are staying in the area.
google avatar

Matthew J.

Yelp
Small shopping mall just across the street from the Marriott. Really not too much to buy. More things down the street at Queen's
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
Decent little assortment of shops and food joints. The queens shops across the way are much more modern and better choices there.

Jacques L.

Yelp
Not a bad pit stop but if you are passing by, but don't go out of your way to visit unless you are looking for high end merchandise during your visit. 4 stars for over all conditon, ease of access and parking. There's a general whalers store for your basic needs and a very small macys.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
i live in the community and am happy to say i do regularly stroll the shops and am happy that the shops are here!
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
unless you're a tourist from japan and getting your dollars worth, there is no point in going here.

Debbie M.

Yelp
Cute little shopping center with some local art & a mini-Macy's - very nice staff over all and at the end of the parking lot you can see some petroglyphs...and if you want to see more you can hike in a little more than a quarter mile to see more. We bought so local jellies from the cart in the middle * yum yum yum...one of the silly things I am glad we did- very yummy!
