Kings Theatre

A Brooklyn Gem! Kings Theatre is hands down one of the most stunning venues in NYC. Located right in the heart of Flatbush, it’s a beautifully restored historic theater that combines old-world grandeur with modern comfort. The architecture is absolutely breathtaking—ornate ceilings, gold detailing, and plush velvet seats give it a true vintage charm. I came here for underworld concert and was blown away by the acoustics and the atmosphere. The sound was crystal clear, and even from the balcony, the view was great. The staff was friendly and organized, and getting in and out was smooth despite a big crowd. There’s a solid variety of events her from concerts and comedy shows to family-friendly performances. It’s amazing to have such a world-class venue right in Brooklyn without needing to trek into Manhattan.

This has to be the most amazing concert venue in the United States. The architecture will take your breath away. The stage and floor area are large enough for huge crowds. The seating on the floor, and on the next level can accommodate many people, including the side, opera seats, which are amazing. The staff is always friendly and attentive and very, very helpful merch table right in the front as soon as you walk in the door drinks are always available even in the pit area. At the end of the show, the staff is eager to assist and navigate you outside of the building.

We visited this wonderful theater and were absolutely delighted! The stunning interiors create a special atmosphere, and the buffet is well-organized, with the queue moving quickly and smoothly. The ballet performed by the Ukrainian Ballet of the Odesa Theater was breathtaking – the grace, technique, and emotion on stage were mesmerizing. I would love to visit this theater again!

First time we visited this theater was for my son to attend Blippi The Wonderful World Tour. It was a beautiful theater and clean. A bit pricey the beverage and snacks but it was worth it! As long as my son enjoyed it.

THE LEGENDARY DIANA ROSS!!!! A show at Kings Theater is always a treat. Even when it’s a sold out show, or when it’s freezing, their staff ensures that patrons are quickly ushered in. I’ve visited too many times to count; experiencing theater, Jazz, R&B, comedy and award shows. Last night’s Diana Ross show deserves special recognition. The Queen shut Brooklyn down and the queens were out in full force! Special S/O to the security staff for handling the crowd, and the amazing manager, Robyn! She is a gift to this organization!!!

Kings Theatre is a beautiful establishment used to host a wide variety of events, such as concerts, comedy shows, and more. We visited the theatre for Hololive's Breaking Dimensions concert. The venue was packed, however line management was smooth and we were able to get to our seats quite quickly. The venue itself is very clean and the decor is outstanding. You could view the concert from any angle and not be blocked by any overhangs, which made it worthwhile to see. Overall, the experience was great and would definitely come back again for other viewings.

Opened in 1929, the Kings Theater was inspired by the Paris Opera House and the Palace of Versailles, the decorative details showcased an Italian Renaissance Revival style. It was restored between 2013 and 2015.

I attended this theater in February to see the legendary Taemin. The venue itself is clean and beautiful inside. Concessions were a bit pricey, but that's expected at concert venues. My only issue is the staff was pretty pushy and unfriendly. At one point, a staff member told me I couldn’t sit on the floor while charging my phone, even though I wasn’t blocking a walkway or causing any disruption. The worst part was after the concert, they forced everyone outside into the freezing cold to wait for our ubers, instead of letting us wait inside and it was like 30 below that night 🙁

Gloria is the best!! Love the staff and a very welcoming venue. She helped me search for a lost item and went above and beyond to help me. Everyone was very kind and friendly. I highly recommend this venue.

As someone raised in Flatbush, I always passed by Kings Theatre whether through walking or taking a bus. So when it reopened in 2015, I was happy. There was an improv show ran by a company I follow and the ticket was cheap for a good seat. To get to the theater, you could walk from the Beverley Road B/Q train or take the local B41 to drop you right off. I walked all the way. Next to the theater is this empty lot with stanchions and a glittery glass water tower in the middle. I wondered the importance of having this space. But when I finally got into a line, I realized it kept people off the street while trying to get inside so they don't block it for people trying to pass. The streets are not that wide and there is still construction on the corner of the street where the bank used to be. The inside is as beautiful as the outside (maybe even more to be honest. While there are televisions screens present for menus and metal detectors, the place has that majestic vibe that I could imagine it having many years ago. The bag check process to get inside was quick and the people on guard were generally nice. Speaking of nice people, the staff were generally friendly. The people at the bar were knowledgeable and most screens had the options available. There were comparatively inexpensive prices for cocktails (especially in a theater space). They had the typical alcohol options (canned and mixed cocktails), nonalcoholic beverages, snacks and popcorn. A few stations had personal pizza but the line was long and the price was a little too much for me. In addition, while you were seated there were staff roving around offering snacks and additional drinks. One weird thing I like about the seats at this theater was that they have cup holders. So you are not just balancing your drink on the floor or having to hold it all the time (unless you bought multiple). There was coat check at our show but I heard it is available on a show by show basis. My experience at the show was fun. I was in the middle back so I could generally see what was going on. The audio cut out a couple of times but the improv troupe were professionals and rolled with the punches. I felt comfortable with my seat. I look forward to seeing other shows at this theater space.

Amazing artists perform here. The acoustics are terrific. And until the seats are tiered so when people stand up during the show as though we're in Prospect Park or Central Park Summerstage, those who are seated behind them, ticket prices are an unfortunate ripoff. Shouts to the ushers, particularly Carlyle, for doing their best to get thoughtless, self-centered people to sit down. It's not their fault that sucka MCs tell the audience to stand up. To audience members who act like they're in studio with or guests of the artists in their homes: Show living artists respect by buying their records instead of streaming and bootlegging, NOT talking during their live performances, and NOT filming their performances, watching through their phones, blocking people's line of sight who actually want to watch live performance, and posting them on the 'gram. You're thieves. You're greedy. You're thoughtless.

WARNING: SCAMMED! Spent extra for Front Row Mezzanine only to find out they did not disclose the multiple rows of VIP seats. My view was blocked the entire night!!! A couple of months ago I purchased tickets for the fabulous Diana Ross. I saved up and spent extra money for front row mezzanine seats so that I would have a full view with no one in front of me. I was so excited! Imagine my surprise when I get to my seat and find out there are multiple rows of seats in front of me and my view is awful and blocked! I've included a screenshot of the ticket map from King's website. The seat I chose is circled in red. Absolutely nothing on this map indicates that my view would be obstructed by seats in front of me. It showed I would be front row mezzanine! Which was the whole reason I got the tickets. The rows of seats I discovered when I got to the concert weren't on the map at all! I'm assuming they were VIP seats, which makes the whole thing stink even more. I paid extra money to be what I thought was the front of the mezzanine only to have to look at the back of VIP's heads for the entire concert. I am so disappointed and completely confused as to how they can sell these seats without any notice that they are not front row mezzanine as indicated on their map. Such a disappointment. I had been counting down the days for this concert, to finally see the legendary Diana Ross in person, and had splurged to make sure I could get front row view without anyone in front of me. I had done everything right! What a bummer. UPDATE: I reached out to Kings and was told "it's a concert I should be used to people blocking my view." I told them the whole reason I paid extra for what I thought were front row mezzanine was so that there would not be any seats in front of me and I wouldn't have to worry about people blocking my view. I suggested they note on their website that these seats aren't true front row mezzanine and have seats in front so something like this doesn't happen but felt dismissed somewhat rudely. Just be warned that your front row mezzanine seat will be blocked by VIPs they seem to care more about.

"There is ugliness in beauty" I used to enjoy this theater. Restored from the days of glory, this is a gem that truly reflects New York's age of elegance. But after 10 years it's now a pit for crass greediness and poor management. With these prices it's hard to believe it's in BK and not Dubai. The ugly - increased the "pit" section instead of seats to make more money - $32 for a drink! Wow. It makes hot rooftop clubs in Manhattan look cheap. And no limes!!! - $14 for a popcorn that is smaller than a normal child's size at movie theater - Terrible crowd management and flow - Annoying staff The beauty - Beautiful old theatre - Good acoustics

This place is pretty and has a historical look. I came here to watch a children's show and my issue was with the disorganization and mean staff. Wouldn't return here

I went to Kings Theatre in Brooklyn to see Pulp perform a few weeks ago. The venue is gorgeous inside! My husband drove us there. We thought about taking the subway, but we were both a little under the weather. Luckily we got a free parking spot in the shopping lot behind the theater. We just made sure to leave before midnight because the gate closes. Crowd control and security were great - friendly and clear with where to go, which line to follow, etc. Once through, we were able to take in with our eyes the beautiful interior of this historic building. We were in at doors, so we walked around inside and explored a bit before making our way to our seats. It's a large capacity venue. I treated my husband to a drink and $13 popcorn from one of the concession stands. The popcorn was surprisingly better than I expected; the trick is that they use coconut oil. We were seated on the lower level. We found out from one of the ushers that the upper level is really a treat to be seated in when seeing a concert (note for next time!). If you have a chance to see a performance or concert at Kings, I highly recommend it! Good A/V and overall experience!

Stunning old theater that was resurrected after several years of neglect and decay. Audio is decent but it's a colossal venue. There's a no outside food or drink policy, including chewing gum - I imagine they want to avoid people sticking gum everywhere. Had just returned from Europe with chewing gum from the trip and was disappointed to throw it out but understood. Drinks pricing is excessive. $15 for a can of beer. I suppose they have to pay for the preservation of the venue somehow...

Went on the Historic Kings Theatre tour. I had been in the theatre for events, but it was nice to see it empty to allow time to admire the restoration. It was advertised as a 1-hour tour, but it took 1:45. Had the narrative been more practiced and streamlined, it could fit into 1 hour, which was frustrating. Nevertheless, it was informative. Note: unlike some other theatre tours that I've enjoyed, this one offers no backstage access.

Kings Theatre is located in Flatbush Brooklyn. It is a historic venue. It is such a beautiful theatre. Right when you walk into the theatre you feel like you walk into history. It is so full of red and gold. I had never known or been to this theatre until recently to see Avatar the Last Airbender with my friend. The tickets were sold out, but I managed to order a long time ago. The theatre was quite big with a lot of security. They have strict policies on no gum, beverages, and backpacks, so definitely read about their policies before you plan to go to this venue. It was well organized. I felt like they managed the crowd very well. The music was great. I love every second of the show. I would to come see another performance.

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Beyond amazing!! I inquired about getting my seat upgraded. an extremely nice man helped me and got me the best seats in the house!! The theater was beautiful and well preserved. The Opeth show was fantastic!!!!!!! I also had the speakeasy upgrade experience. one free drink, free snacks, private bar, private bathroom... Everything was great!! I can't wait to come back again. Thank you to the extremely nice man who helped me get the upgrade. Sending so much love and positivity your way!!

Beautiful decorum, Service and speedy entry for major events. I've gone there for three concerts, two shows and one musical event. They've all been successful.

The theatre is beautiful and has so much amazing architecture. The ushers are so patient and willing to help. We filmed a scene for a tv show so we used our own crafty services, which was delicious and ice cold. Everyone should definitely check out the inside of this place.

What a venue! My friend and I came to see Dreamcatchers and it was a blast. We had no idea how this unassuming theatre from the outside was so opulent and stunning inside. As a chronic over preparer who didn't bring a purse it was unfortunate to have to empty every single thing out of my pockets. (Wallet, keys, eyedrops, chapstick, hand sanitizer, eye glass cloth) I totally get why but it wasn't the most clear when going through security. Also loved their lemonade and popcorn! Hot tip: if you want merch, wait until the last few songs or encore and the line magically clears up!

The best venue by far in brooklyn. Amazing space with beautiful architecture and fantastic acoustics.

This theater is beautiful and has incredible acoustics, which means you don't have to buy tickets in the front to hear and see well. I was a bit frustrated last time we went, because children's tickets should not cost the same as adults ($140 for a toddler is steep), and snacks were pricier than usual, but they do have better options than most venues. The bathroom line moved very quickly and the theater was extremely clean. I also thought the concession lines were efficient and everyone who works there were friendly.

Incredible venue but Ambassador Speakeasy access was way too expensive Ill start out with the good because that is all 5 stars: The venue was beautiful and great acoustics. The service was probably the best I have ever experienced in a venue that sized. Friendly, engaged and helpful. I got there about 10 minutes before doors open to find parking in the back. The VIP speak easy access was a disappointment (service was still good tho). Taking one star off for this. If I had to rate the Ambassador package separately, it would be only 1 or 2 stars. The Access package included expedited entrance - was great. Speakeasy access with seating and tables - "speakeasy" is a stretch. It was in view of the rest of the venue. it is literally a section of the upper level of the theatre with a roped off area. Cocktails - this is a big rub for me. I usually go to get a good drink or two before a concert and dont mind paying for quality. At the speakeasy, there were no cocktails only liquor with mixers. The selection of liquor was OK, but i paid $40 for a double premium vodka and club with lime. the lime juice was bottled and pretty yuk. its the same pricepoint as a martini in Bemelmans...wtf. Private bathrooms - very nice. ***net-net is I would love to come back to Kings Theatre, but will not be taking advantage (or being taken advantage of) the Ambassador Speakeasy package.

I visited King's Theatre for the historical tour rather than an event. Kings is one of five Loew's Wonder Theatres from the 1920s and underwent a huge renovation in the mid 2000s and has existed in its current state since 2015. The historical tour (which has an optional speakeasy component with two included drinks) is worthwhile! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about not only the theater, but was a Flatbush native who knew a lot of area history. She gave us plenty of time to view each space and take photos. We got to see the main theatre space, the mezzanine, the lounges. The architecture is grand. Flashy, golden, ornate. Lot of art deco and Louis the XIII style. Beautiful original antique furniture throughout. I purchased my ticket online for 32 dollars including a 5 dollar processing fee. These tours don't happen often, so I would check regularly! This venue also has plays, comedy, and concerts. We got to sit all over the theater and I can attest there isn't a bad seat in the house. No seats with a pole in front of you, no obstructed views. Oh, and the parking lot is under construction. I used SpotHero and parked about 1/2 a mile away and walked. I wouldn't chance street parking. I actually recommend taking public transit, but I had to drive that day. A lot of nearby businesses and restaurants, very walkable. You could make a great night out of the Flatbush era. Another important note: this theater was restored back to its original form. There is no elevator. There aren't a ton of steps, but if you have mobility issues, please be aware. There is some way they assist people who can't climb stairs, but not sure what it is. Maybe a lift? I recommend doing the tour of this prime example of a bygone era of luxury and craftsmanship and checking out some events too!

A friend told me to try and check out Kings Theatre even if there is no performance available because it is absolutely stunning. We had an opportunity to see Liz Phair there last month and my friend was right! It is gorgeous! We sat in the mezzanine and had a great view. We noticed that everyone on the ground floor stood the entire concert even though they had seats so we were happy to sit where we were. The acoustics were good and the staff were friendly. So why knock one star off? While the high cost of drinks was expected, it is really disappointing that there is no water fountain available for guests. If you are thirsty, you need to buy something.

Kings Theatre is a standout venue in Brooklyn. The venue recently was restored and offers a variety of concerts and shows. I have been to a few concerts and shows at Kings Theatre. Entrance Service continues to improve each time I visit the venue. For sold out or busier shows, ushers/ security generally have guests line up in the open lot next to the venue to go through the security scanner and scan tickets. Security is friendly and efficient. However, one weird quirk is that the venue does not allow gum... so if it's in your purse or pocket toss it before you get there! Ushers are all around to help guide you to your seat. Food/Bev It has a few bars on each level. It has an array of beverages. It's on the pricier side, but that's to be expected. For snacks, it has popcorn, chocolate and other candies. It's sort of strange to have a whole chocolate bar at a concert, but it tasted good! Ambiance The theatre itself is beautiful. The seats are a bit clustered so if you're in the middle of a row, I recommend heading to the basement bathroom before or after the show. The basement doesn't have phone service, so that's a bit annoying but they do have wifi. Cleanliness While the venue itself was decently clean: bathrooms were clean, bars were tidy, I could NOT get over how grossly sticky the floors in the theatre were. Eek! Overall Kings Theatre continues to improve! Will hopefully be back.

What a disappointment. If you cant stand for the duration of the show, don't come to this theatre. Attending the Diana Ross concert and everyone is standing. Brought my 90 something mom and she is unable to see. This unreal. Wasted time and tools. Never again

Saw Jack White here last night. The venue is beautiful and all of the staff was super helpful and friendly. I had tickets in the Pit which was pitched so you could see from pretty much any spot unless there are tall people right in front of you. Acoustics were really good. Transportation - I took an Uber from Atlantic Terminal and traffic was awful. I tried to get an Uber after the show in front of the theater but that was impossible - even though it kept saying that my ride was "x" minutes away. Don't try that - I waited 10 minutes as they kept assigning new drivers. Then I walked to the Beverley Road subway - it was fine. Ten minute walk. The neighborhood seemed totally safe especially with lots of concert goers walking to the subway. Next time I will definitely take the subway from Atlantic Terminal both ways.

I had a wonderful time at the King's Theatre for the Arctic Monkeys concert. It was an intimate venue -- perfect for the special no-phones concert. Once I got there, I had to wait in line, and it was an organized process to get in. The staff was helpful with security, locking away our phones, servicing, and bathroom organization. The interior was beautiful, and the Arctic Monkeys utilized the theatre's decor to give the romantic, haunted feel. Plus, I enjoyed hearing four new songs from their album before it came out! Let's talk about the seats, I am glad I got a physical seat. I was down on the first floor, and I could sit & still see if I needed a break from standing. If you are traveling on the train, it is a bit of a walk from the train to the theatre. Some of the walk is not in well-lit areas. Luckily there was a bunch of concert-goers making their way in packs down to the show and back to the train.

Entering the venue was easy, the layout was easy to follow, and the staff was generally polite and to-the-point. I took off a star because the bathroom staff was incredibly rude, condescending, and outright unprofessional. They should all get canned

This venue has the most amazing staff. Their customer service is beyond what I knew was even possible. I'll forever be grateful to Ernest, Debbie, Ricquan, Jaleel, and Paige. If you want to see a great show and know that you're in the hands of consummate customer service professionals.

I must admit that I don't get to the beautiful Kings Theatre as often as I'd like to and can really only pay a visit if one of the artists I plan on writing about will be dropping into the place and I've worked out the necessary permissions to do that stuff that I do. That being said, the legendary Mercyful Fate were going to perform and since I had to arrive early I took the train. The ride wasn't as bad as I anticipated and was the R to the Q to a maybe ten minute walk before you were looking directly at the place. The venue marquee is beautiful and the inside is just magnificent. For this show they had removed several sections of seating to allow for a GA area for fans to mingle and maybe even mosh about but truth be told the Mercyful Fate stuff is not mosh music. That was better set on the supporting acts of Kreator and Midnight who were both very enjoyable. The seats if you actually had one are quite comfortable. I took advantage of that when it was possible but in reality I needed to be on my feet for most of the night. Patrons do need to pass through a metal detector because that is where the world is these days and I don't mind extra security precautions at all since I am usually at large public gatherings and I'd rather be safe than sorry. They had set up the merchandise right after these stations and there are bars set up on the main floor and down in the lower level. I didn't make it upstairs at all but I will assume there is a bar or two up there as well. The restrooms appear to only be located downstairs but again this I cannot confirm as there wasn't much exploring time on my schedule. One of the cool sights on the main floor is their vintage organ. It was roped off to prevent anyone from touching it but wow would I love to hear this being played. I can only imagine how great it sounds in this really acoustically well set up theatre. There is no public accessible WiFi which I found to be a bit of a bugaboo but maybe if enough patrons cite its need they will work on getting one. Maybe a sponsor company can also offer this gratis. Sure many of us have unlimited but I don't so I like to snag a signal when possible. Oh yeah and my Mercyful Fate show was simply overwhelming. All of the performers were on point and King Diamond (their lead singer) was in top shape vocally and brought the house down. I'm unsure when I will be at this place again but I'd like to for sure. That's all I have on this one.

Everything you want in a classic historical theater. No bad seats. Sound quality was good. Attended two nights of The Avett brothers with seats in different parts of the venue. No complaints. It's a gorgeous theater with unique carvings and accents. Seats were comfy even as a plus size gal. Staff was welcoming. Didn't make entry overly difficult. Bar lines were relatively short. I was shocked by how fast the bathroom lines were, despite having to go to the basement. Don't skip on the gummy bears at the bar! They were perfect!

Beautiful classic theater that reminded me of the vaudeville era The sound techs were behind the audience which me feel excited that this would be an awesome production I went to the theater to see Respect which was an autobiographical musical based on Aretha Franklin The staff was very nice as far as getting everyone into the checked / searched and into the theater on time . The theater was very clean as well as the bathrooms. The sound was wonderful and every seat is a good one the seats go downward in theater formation

So, I went to see Super Freak- The Rick James Story, directed by Je'caryous Johnson, at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn. The show was amazing but what was even more spectacular was the atmosphere of this theatre. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, from the time we entered and got through the metal detectors, with help navigating how to get to our seats. Once we entered the theatre itself, it was absolutely beautiful. Several performances occur here and I'm looking forward to coming back again.

A lovely live performance venue that seat 3,000. It was first opened in 1929 and operated by Loew's till 1977 when it closed. The last film there was Bruce Lee: The Man, The Myth 李小龍傳奇/李小龙传奇 that was released in Hong Kong in 1976. After a few years restoration, it reopened in 2015. The interior is pretty and grand, which is 1929 appearance, but the stage is modernized. Parking isn't easy. We gambled in a private lot behind the theater - can't find pay meter after parked. It was ok for us, luckily.

Amazing venue for the sound and seating! ...not a bad seat in the house, and it's my opinion that TTB should play here has often as possible. The highlight of my evening was when Debbie the usher expressed such kindness and generosity to me and my friend. She is truly an asset to the team at Kings! til next show

Came for the no cap comedy tour with Dee Ray Davis, Michael Blackson, DC Young Fly, Karlos Miller, Lil Ducal, and Chico Brans. I went to the 7pm show, the live lived quickly, and the check-in process was quick; they started on time such I thought wasn't going to happen. Michael Blackson, I thought, would've had more time, and DC had to cut his set short for the 10pm show. It was funny I had a good time but overall an okay show. The theater itself is set up really nicely with two bars. Bathrooms are a maze to get to, especially with a crowd. There's two levels: the lower and balcony, it's not big of a theater, so no matter where you sit, you'll see the stage. I like the changes, and I'm glad they bought it back to life.

This Theatre is a gem. In the middle of a block on Flatbush Avenue you've never think this beautiful theatre was inside. It's regal and ornate with statues and plush red curtains. I've seen two shows here and always sat in the orchestra and both seats lead me to believe all the seats are pretty good. There are a lot of stalls in the ladies bathroom and they were clean considering how many women were using them that night. Parking...terrible. Leave yourself plenty time before the show to park if you're driving.

Visit Date: November 30, 2022 I came here to see Morrissey. I normally try to avoid concerts because they can get pricey but I love the smiths and I love Morrissey and when my friend told me he was playing I said it needed to happen. So I found her and I tickets. The venue is pretty nice, it looked like it was good viewing from anywhere you sat. The inside was so pretty, an ornate ceiling, ornate walls, it was beautiful. The bathrooms were downstairs. During the show everyone was standing we snuck off to the front to get a little closer and went back to our seats after. Because everyone stood our viewing was impeded but I think if it was a show mostly everyone sat down for we would have been able to see better. Security was amazing I don't know if they worked specifically for Morrissey or the venue but a few people jumped on stage to touch him and were immediately removed from the stage. Crazy, crazy people. I am nuts in my own ways too but as much as I love certain performers I wouldn't jump on a stage to touch them. That might not stop me from gushing a little if I got to meet them though. Parking is tough here luckily I found something a few blocks away but most of the parking in Brooklyn is tough and that's why I don't drive there often but I'd prefer to drive over taking the damn trains.

Fabulous theatre! I had the pleasure of seeing "The London Suede" at this performance venue. Magnificent architecture and design with influences from the Palace of Versailles and Paris Opera House. They registered it as a historic building, so it is worth checking out. We sat in the upper back row, so it made it challenging to see the band. However, if you bring binoculars, you'll be able to see them up close. The acoustics were fine, but next time. I'll try to get tickets up close.

Came here to see a comedy show and it wasn't the best decision. The long line wrapped around the corner for many blocks with no supervision. Meaning there were no employees to monitor the line and to avoid people from skipping. At one point some sort of altercation broke out and people began to run. Once things descalated, people rejoined the line out of order. It took hours to get inside the venue and of course the show already started. Yes the decor and size of the venue are decent, however, it's not so easy to distinguish between the sections. Therefore, you must rely on the staff to locate your seat. I won't be back here, even if Chris Brown or Beyonce performs (which we all know will not happen).

Fist the theater is absolutely stunning. The decor inside and out takes you back in time instantly. The ceiling in the main venue space is incredible. I was here to see a rock band "The Mars Volta". I have been to 25+ rock concerts, 6 being "The Mars Volta" at several different venues in NY and NJ. The experience from the line up on was nothing like I have ever seen at a rock show. The staff was incredible. Everything felt organized and calm. No running or rushing or pushing which is a regular occurrence at some venues around the City. The merch table had plenty of staff and went by in a blink of an eye. The line was clearly partitioned and super organized. There are several bars and none ever had a line. I actually ran out mid song to buy a water and was back in my seat before the song ended. The seats are super comfortable and the views are great. The standout however was a manager "Nico" who displayed the best customer service I've ever experinced. My best friend who accompanied me to the show is disabled and walks with a cane. When I bought the tickets I did not realize the venue has no elevators and my friend has tremendous difficulty with stairs. I emailed the venue the night before and they directed me to speak with staff upon arrival to obtain ADA seating. When I arrived me and my friend were directed to the "speak easy" line so she wouldn't have to walk the winding line- up. Nico came out and greeted us warmly and handed us tickets for more accessible seats after checking our ticket. He said to ask for Nico if anyone questioned the tickets. Me and my friend used the ladies room, purchased merch and a drink and headed to our seats. Not 5 minutes later, Nico arrived to ask if the seats are ok and if we needed anything else. This felt like a 5 star hotel, not a rock concert so far. Nico also offered us wristbands to assess the "pit" which was above and beyond. My friend went out during the show to use the ladies room, and there was Nico again to direct her to the ADA restrooms. Not only was he helpful, but also warm and kind in the process! Nico deserves a raise and promotion. Anyone who does customer services knows the job is a hard one, especially in settings that serve alcohol. This man displayed a kindness and love for his job that I have never seen. I have never experienced a "relaxing" rock concert but that is exactly what this was. I will FOR SURE visit Kings theater in the future.

This is a beautiful theater. The sound is great, the seats are comfy, and you have a great view even at the real high up sections. We purchased a few cans of wine at $13 a piece which was fair enough for a concert venue. I'm removing 2 stars because of the bathroom situation. We had seats in section K, which meant to get to the bathroom we had to go all the way to the basement. The upstairs bathrooms are now part of a "speakeasy" package you need to upgrade to, I believe.

HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BOX OFFICE!!!! The venue changed the seating after tix went onsale and bungled the ENTIRE THING!!!! worst customer service on the phone, i was hung up on and even though the supervisor was sitting there telling the agent what to say they wouldnt get on the phone to refund the ticket. Because of their debacle I am going to be out the deposit on flight and hotel!!! THEY ALL NEED TO BE FIRED.

I recently had the experience of going to kings theater for the empire of the sun show and I was amazed with how wonderful the staff was. Lucy (the woman who took me to my seats) and Niquana (the woman who handles customer service) were the kindest and most helpful people I have met in all of New York. I hope you lady's see this review and you are the reason why people go back to kings theater.

Hidden gem in the heart of Brooklyn. I'm a New Yorker and had never been inside until the last visit. Great to see that people saw the beauty and potential in the theater to have it renovated so that future generations can enjoy it.

Great place to see a show and wherever you are , you can see. The PA and sound is pretty good as well. Mercyful Fate was playing so had to go!

I had a circumstance that needed to be resolved by theater security. The Security Supervisor was amazing. She offered a feasible solution and was kind enough to explain why she recommended the solution. I wish I could remember her name. i can only describe her as a Latina that Supervised the door checking area. Thanks for hiring professional, gracious and solution oriented people!!!!

I came for the LSR Live V3 show today and it was amazing by the hand of Ernest and Christopher J at guest services. They listened to my concerns and went above and beyond to answer my questions. I really appreciated them for their sincerity and help. Thanks for making my night as well as that of my group!

This is purely a review of their customer service. On Thursday, May 12, I was the most excited Tori Amos fan in the world when I saw front row tickets pop up on Ticketmaster. I promptly bought them, grabbed my friend, and excitedly headed to the theatre. When I showed up to my seats, minutes prior to Tori coming on stage, I was told by an employee that a terrible mistake had happened - the seats that were sold to me were never supposed to be sold. They had been promised to what I later learned are Tori fans who follow her around on tour and have a general sense of entitlement about them. Essentially, Tori and her people rank some fans as more important than others. It was not a Kings Theatre problem. It was a Tori management problem. You would never have known that from how wonderfully staff handled it for me. Adonna - who later told me it was her first night working on staff, which impressed me all the more - took amazing care of us, and quickly. She initiated a refund for the seats we should never have purchased, comped us excellent seats on the side mezzanine with a great view, gave my friend and I two free drink tickets each with Speakeasy access (private bars they have) and signed us up to see a forthcoming performance by David Sedaris free of charge. All the while she was friendly, genuine and professional. So too was, I believe, the house manager (?) named Dan Harris - sorry if I'm getting your name wrong, Dan, but I'm sure I have your last name right. He signed us up for the Sedaris performance and made sure my refund for the would-be front row seats was initiated, explaining the process to me. I don't blame the Theatre at all. This was entirely a Tori problem. I felt shaken and diminished as a longtime fan. However, these professionals at the theater - and, by the way, every single person on staff I interacted with was warm and friendly, from the bartenders to the ushers to the merchandise salesmen - made what could have been a horrible night into a memory still worth cherishing. You can't ask for more than that. Adonna was particularly amazing - so patient, warm and empathetic. Thank you Kings Theatre!

A treasure. I used to work in Flatbush many years ago and always wanted to see inside, but they were still working on reopening. Years later, I finally got my chance when the Sisters played them a few months ago. The restoration is nicely done. All the staff were so kind and friendly, one young man pointed out several interesting bits (see pix).

The ticket office acknowledges participating in a fraudulent ticket scam. Though I have never had any account or purchased any tickets or attended any event at this theater, I received an email from the ticket office "confirming" my purchase of tickets to a concert in late August, noting that "your phone is your ticket." Email to the customer service address went unanswered. When I called the box office, there is a recorded message acknowledging that emails were sent "in error" and suggesting that recipients disregard and not wait on hold. You can't unsubscribe from a service you never subscribed to. How did they get my email address?

I came here to see one of my fave bands, Interpol, for the first time. The location is a few blocks from the Q train which a super convenient. The theater itself is gorgeous and the acoustics seem to be pretty good as well. The attendees were polite and helpful. I enjoyed my first visit and I'd be down to attend other events as it has a very intimate feeling.
