Kings Walden Garden Manor

We were warmly welcomed by Marike, who runs this beautiful place together with her husband Hannes. The manor itself is stunning, surrounded by lush gardens and breathtaking views. It was our honeymoon, and we had a lovely private picnic in the garden, which was such a special experience. The whole area is peaceful, green, and full of charm. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely amazing. Make sure to have dinner here, you won’t regret it.

We had an absolutely wonderful one-day stay at the hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding — the staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The atmosphere around the hotel was incredibly peaceful, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy every moment. Everything was clean, well-organized, and beautifully maintained. It was a short stay, but it left a lasting impression. We truly wish we could have stayed longer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Kings Walden. From the friendly staff to the amazing views and wonderful garden. We even enjoyed the monkeys that accompanied us in the garden and the ducks that enjoy the swimming pool. Staff are very accommodating and everyone makes you feel welcome.

Such a magnificent place to stay. The family room was beautifully spacious and particularly atmospheric with our own fire. The staff were so welcoming and excellent service. While the views and garden are truly breathtaking.

There aren’t many exceptional guesthouses left in SA. Kings Manor is one of the few, just an all round well run guesthouse. Friendly and attentive staff, exceptional food and nicely furnished rooms. I’ve stayed here a few times when I’ve been on the road, can’t recommend it enough.

Amazing location, great food and more than wonderful people. We were here for 4 days including having our wedding here and everything was perfectly arranged. The employees are the kindest people and the location is very peaceful and beautiful.

Food is Good at restaurant, but don't order the lamb curry my curry was full of bones lots of them a very little meat and not curry but rather lamb stew...while the butter chicken of my partner was great. Service was amazing the staff member that helped us I give a well deserved 5 stars. Thank you very much.

Staff were very friendly , Walter gets a special mention , nothing was too much trouble.,Rooms were large and well appointed , bed was comfortable , fireplace in bedroom was a nice touch . The food was all well presented and both meals we had were excellent . Highly recommend for overnight stay
