Kingsville Steakhouse

Really enjoyed the flavor of the steak and the sides! The margaritas were so good! Our waiter was super nice and very attentive. This was our first time there but not from kingsville but when we go back we are definitely stopping again!

Ouch! That is the best way to describe this place. It was soooo loud in there my eardrums hurt. The atmosphere is a cafeteria feel with drunk loud people and high ceilings. The food was meh. Our server was just ok. I travel all over the country as a pilot. I could say hands-down this is probably one of the worst atmospheres. I’ve experienced at a so-called steakhouse. I’ve also noticed over the years that if you don’t drink alcohol, you don’t get as much attention from your server gee, I wonder why?

We stopped in on our way to the 956. A friend had told me about it. We decided to stop for an early dinner/late lunch. The service was awesome. The waitress was friendly, and incredibly welcoming. She was attentive without it being too much. The food was delicious and for a 7oz Angus steak, I couldn't finish it! The salad was so crisp and fresh. A 10 out of 10 for me. Well worth the slight detour!

Best tasting quail I’ve had. Good flavor and juicy. Order the steak and quail plate you won’t be disappointed!

Had a great lunch at the Steak House today, we all are always looking for great food for clients ! Food was cooked to perfection, I had the Portor House Porkchop ! Food was flavorful and temp was on point ! Service was also great and our server tentative!

We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my son's birthday. Our waitress was extremely attentive and super sweet. She even had all the staff come over and sing to him making his day extra special. The food was all really good. My husband had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. I have the fried chicken salad which was also very good. Would definitely recommend this place for a good meal and pleasant atmosphere.

First time, and it was a fantastic experience. The waitress was very friendly and attentive!! The steaks were cooked to perfection and had a really good smokey taste. The fried mushrooms were good, and the bread was fresh tasting, and the butter was also super good. The place is spacious, and it was a very comfortable place to enjoy a meal with family! The only small disappointment was I wanted to try the steak sandwich but was told they had sold the last one, so hopefully, next time they will have it.

Service was good. The sirloin steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Just way to salty. I let the waiter know. He offered to have them remake it, but I was in a hurry. Could only eat half of the steak. One of my sides was green beans. They were good and bacon-y. The loaded baked potato was awesome. The best part of the meal. They serve rolls with cinnamon butter. More cinnamon than I like.

The service was excellent, food was fairly good and for a family gathering- it was the perfect location. Parking may be challenging if it's a special holiday, otherwise it's a breeze!

1.) no seating for 5 at this facility. Sat uncomfortably at a 4 seater table. 2.) tables around us came and went before we were offered to place our dinner order. 3.) had to constantly bus my own table because Mel V was unavailable. Gave her the empty bread basket and she left it right in front of me on our already crammed table. Cleared the table again of bread plates and abruptly left them at the bar and they looked at me like "what's her problem" yet no one came to our table even then. 4.) 2 out of the 5 silverware sets had dried crusty potato or something like it on the knife's. The fork had lettuce stuck in between the prongs!! And it was wrapped in the black napkin so who would do such a nasty dirty thing? The manager is not managing anything at this place. 5.) Appetizer(fried mushrooms) came out hot and tasty but we never saw Mel V again to ask for dipping sauce. Disappointing. 6.) main dishes came out together but a lot of it was cold. (Very disheartening) It was as if some plates were ready before the others so half of it was cold to the touch, again unimaginably disappointing. 7.) waited 20 mins for wait staff and no one came back, went to ask a short stubby man if he was the manager and he said yes. Told him my concerns but he didn't give a crap, he actually turned his back to walk away as I was still talking. He didn't bring the Togo boxes he said he would get OR even visit the table. He just went and found Mel V. Just so I'm clear, Mel v. is not the problem and to my knowledge, she did her very best. it's the manager and lack of support provided to the wait staff. Side note: There was shit at the base of the toilet, so this place wasn't even a good restroom stop. I'm just very disappointed as my family and I came from Houston to this "good place" when really it was nothing but a disaster from the get go. At one point my dad asked if we should just walk out. We literally watched so many people come and go and no one paid any attention to our table. There are millions of places to eat in-between Houston & here yet we chose this place and left completely dissatisfied and unfulfilled. Pick another establishment because between the cold food and service, this place is not worth it in my opinion.

A lovely place for a meal! Kingsville Steakhouse has a wide variety of food aside from steak, all of which were very good. The portions were large and the food was flavorful. I especially appreciated the construction of the Caesar salads! They were loaded to the brim with parmesan and dressing (which are obviously the best parts of the salad)! The rolls were perfectly fluffy and warm. This spot even got a pickle-hater to like fried pickles! I made the small mistake of ordering seafood at a steakhouse but regardless was not disappointed. The portion of shrimp was a tad small but the sides made up for it. It definitely feels like the food was made with love. Like many restaurants in the region, the walls were lined with beautiful mounts. The restaurant had a very homey feel. The service was very homey as well. Our server was incredibly sweet. She was quick and offered refills for the table frequently. She kindly provided to-go cups for our drinks too! This is a must-visit when in Kingsville!

Came for dinner. It was quite busy, the service was good and attentive. Food, however could have been better. We had a shared appetizer of fried pickles and mushrooms, they were breaded nicely, hot, crunchy. Just a tad too salty. I also got a house salad with green goddess dressing. The dressing that came on the side, was artificially green/blue, like they just added food coloring to ranch dressing. For my entree, I got a NY strip with mashed potatoes with cream gravy. It was cooked, well but how it's marinated was bit too salty for me, along with the mashed potatoes. They had a full bar, mounted deer, and tvs for sports.

This was highly recommended and overall I thought it was just an OK experience. The restaurant was loud. It was an open room that seemed very echoey. The service was good (I sat at the bar). I had the chopped steak deluxe and although flavorful, it was small and over cooked. The mashed potato's had a gluey consistency.

Kingsville Steak House came highly recommended and it was all that it was cracked up to be. Friendly short wait while we a table was being cleaned. The waiter was personable and answered our questions, since it was our first time eating here. Appetizers: Very Good! Fried Mushrooms Stuffed Jalapeños Even though the menu had several plates I would love to try, I went with the hamburger steak, with green beans, sweet potato and a side salad. A local place. Standard steakhouse menu. The steak, a filet, was delicious, one of the best I've had. Generously salted and mesquite cooked. I would go back for this. Xavier, our waiter was great.

Fishman's platter 5/5 Great dish. Everything was fresh and great tasting. So good! Okra 3/5 seemed frozen, but hot and freshly fried Mashed potatoes 4/5 needed more seasoning, but freshly made. I thought it came with gravy and when I mentioned it to the waitress she brought me gravy and charged me for it. it wasn't that good. Fried mushrooms 5/5 freshly battered and fried, not greasy, seasoned well Hushpuppies 0/5 I did not like them. They were fresh and homemade, but they were weird tasting. Service 2/5 Sooooooo slowwwwwwww. Charged for gravy that should have come with my potatoes

The steak was amazing -- packed with flavor and incredibly juicy. The service was okay; our server seemed a bit rude at first, but his attitude improved as the meal went on. The ambiance was nice, with a cozy, family-style feel. I do wish the restrooms were better maintained, and it would be great if they added some booth seating. Overall, the quality of the food more than makes up for the minor issues. I'll definitely be returning the next time I'm in Kingsville!

First timer in Kingsville! Stopped here while Travelling. Nice size parking lot (to left of restaurant) to fit all 72feet of us . Jennifer welcomed us warmly. First impression- then seated us- perfectly. (That is a true talent by the way). Then, we met Crystal, our server. Professional and warm, authentic. (That too is a true talent). The food was excellent, fast, and affordable. I wish all restaurants had the staff they do. Thank you KS. You left a memorable impression.

Drove into Kingsville late in the day ..found this steak house on yelp...it was BUSY..but got a table pretty quick..i would say the steak was pretty darn good and the prices were reasonable...not a fancy place but hey ...we just wanted a decent steak and be on our way..it would prob have been a 5 star if it wasnt so crowded and they didnt have that poor waitress serving about 2 times or more the number of tables she should have..

Had a great time and a good dinner here tonight! I ordered the half rack of ribs with Mac and cheese and buttered corn. The portions were huge! I was not able finish. Ribs were very flavorful and had a nice crust. We got here a little after 4pm for an early dinner. Service was so friendly and quick!

Terrible food and experience. Our table was wobbly and dirty when we were seated. What I assume were the owners kids were running and yelling through the restaurant, to include the kitchen, the entire time. We ordered a burger and steak for dinner. My burger patty was hal the size of the bun and tasted freezer burnt. Fries were rubbery. The steak was cold, over marinated and salty. Will not go back.

We enjoyed it so much on our first visit that we made a special stop on our way back from Houston--and once again, everything was exceptional. The food was just as flavorful and perfectly prepared, and the service was outstanding. My husband had the Kingsville ribeye and was blown away! I was genuinely surprised--he's never reacted that way to a steak at any restaurant. Just request fresh, warm rolls; ours were a bit cold but everything else was spot on! Our server, Valerie, was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a delicious meal!

The tea was good and I got a refill. Otherwise, buyer/diner beware. I debated between a 1* or a 2*. At best really a 1.5*. Ordering Chicken Fried Steak I was expecting something great. The mashed potatoes were okay the gravy on the Chicken Fried was burned and smoky. The actual Chicken Fried Steak was pretty tough. Are the steaks that way? The spread for the buns was mostly cinnamon or some non-butter spread. As for service, it seemed that the person waiting on me was a bit rude. I was there about 2:00 and it wasn't too busy. I stopped there because of the reviews, on Yelp were pretty good. My own experience was not such. I won't go back for a steak. (this evening I found a great Ribeye in Raymondville in a small hole in the wall (at the Boot Cafe). The waiter got the tip, not her fault the food was lacking. $25 down the smoker. The place is clean and large. Good seating area. To give a rating of "Meh" would be generous.

Had a great rib steak with a salad and asparagus. Solo diner so sat up at the bar and was easy to make friends on either side. Was very busy that night for dinner time so was lucky to get a seat up at the bar otherwise would have had to wait to be seated without a reservation.

This was a nice surprise! The service and the food was excellent. We kicked off with warm rolls with a maple butter. I ordered the steak and ribs with a baked potato and green beans. I was here for the steak and it was very well prepared with a deep mesquite flavor. The ribs were also smoky and the meat was tender. The beans were a bit salty and overcooked, but not bad to affect the overall experience. I was here with seven others and everyone freed that their various food choices were good. There's a huge variety of options. I also got a glass of cab and iced tea. We finished it off with a key lime pie. It was tasty but not as fluffy as I'd expect. Still it was a good way to top off dinner.

The owner treats their employees terribly, he's demeaning, disrespectful and downright a horrid boss to work for. He has no empathy towards the employees and clearly no respect for them, as a customer who has witnessed the demeanor in which George Chrysos speaks to his employees. 10/10 would not recommend anyone apply to work there. The food is alright, unless you get a peak behind the wall and get to see into the kitchen. WOW it's gross. Have also heard from little birdies that the owner has regularly touched outgoing plates with bare hands. 10/10 mismanaged.

This is a converted old fast food place and the furthest from a "Steakhouse" I can imagine. We parked and crossed the old "drive thru lane" before circling the building almost completely in search of the entrance since there were locked doors all the way around. The tables were crammed in tight and that made walking to the table difficult since all of the diners were being concentrated into one corner. Ever the optimist I ordered chicken fried steak. All of the food was tasteless and soooo greasy. Not greasy like it wasn't drained well or the oil was not hot enough but sludgy, gelatinous greasy. I do not recommend.

Came to hear about this steakhouse from my co worker hyping it up as the best steakhouse in the area. So I decided to give it a try after work. Arrived at the steakhouse with some high expectations. The staff greeted me and everyone seemed nice and eager to serve. I was immediately seated when I arrived and I was ready to order my food. I ordered the Black and Bleu ribeye medium rare with the sides being fries and Mac and cheese. Seems like many places recommended that I try the green beans but I always go against that recommendation. While waiting for the steak the waitress brought me my water and a basket with 2 rolls with a side of cinnamon butter. The rolls were warm and the butter melted in the roll. The roll tasted as it is described a cinnamon buttered roll which was quite tasty. When the steak came I was very excited to try when my colleague describe as the best steak he's had in the area. I was a bit disappointed though as the steak was cooked more on the rarer side and the Gorgonzola butter didn't melt at all. It seemed to me like I was eating steak with a slab of butter instead of the butter melting on the steak. The fries were just fries and the Mac and cheese was nothing special. Overall the meal was okay but the staff itself was amazing.

Breeana, our bartender/ server was awesome. Visited two out of three days. Above average steakhouse experience!! Day 1 New York strip, chicken rice soup and loaded baked potato. Second visit 2 center cut pork chops, loaded bake potato and beef rice soup. The soups have been 5 star every time. Pork chops had a little too much soy or teriyaki for me.

Me and my family were passing through, and saw this place. We decided to eat here. Firstly, the wait time seemed reasonable, but I did see the restaurant kind of push back on people waiting for tables, because one lady wanted a table to fit 25 people. I understand it was graduation night in this town, but to come in and ask for 25, is kind of rude on their part and also rude on the part of the restaurant to actually take the party down, considering the size of the place. Most nice restaurants I've been to, if you had that many people, it had to be prearrange, or else they would decline to take that many for one table. Furthermore, after being seated, it took them a while to get the waiter to even take our drink order and appetizer order. It just seem like chaos for such a small place. The appetizers, like the bread wasn't that appeasing, considering it seemed like the bread was the type of bread that came out of a package. The cinnamon butter was good with it though. As for the main entree, the steak I had was their main specialty. It did come out as I wanted it to be, medium rare, but for the type of steak and how it was cooked, it wasn't tender as it could've been and seem to not have any real flavor. I'm a steak guy, so I know how a good steak should taste like. My family also said their food wasn't up to par as expected. As for the ambiance of the place, I feel it was too crowded and the tables were too close together. It seemed they tried to fit as many people into the area, with minimal walking space. If I go through kingsville again, I probably won't be making a stop here again.

I have not been too pleased with the quality of food and drinks here lately. It seems lower quality with weak flavors, also comes out cold and dry. The sweet potatoes are always good but prefer my own kabob over their cold and flavorless chicken kabob. Next, the wine must have been of the utmost cheapest quality because it taste like water: it was hard to recognize that it was a Moscato because it was so pitiful tasting. The service was friendly, which saved me from a horrible experience.

This was a pleasant discovery on our way home to Dallas from South Padre Island. It was packed when we arrived and now we know why! Everyone was so friendly, the atmosphere is basic steak house but with football playing on the television! Fresh rolls were brought out with this cinnamon butter that was sooo good! Then the steaks, we both got the ribeye, which is their specialty. They were both perfectly cooked to our specifications. These steaks rivaled the Tomahawks in the upscale Dallas restaurants. The sweet potatoes came with more of that amazing cinnamon butter and our other sides were yummy as well. Our waitress, Destiny M. was just precious and so helpful! Even better, the cost was 60.00!! Insane!! We make the trek to South Padre several times a year and now we will be adding this steakhouse into the rotation for sure!

This steakhouse menu reminds me of a mix between Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn Steakhouse. Other reviewers complained that the building is a former fast food restaurant with a drive thru. However, the interior has been completely remodeled and even has a bar. It looks fantastic! Our food was fresh, hot, flavorful & delicious. The hostess and our server were both friendly, and service was quick. We dined on a Sunday at 2:00 p.m., and the restaurant was filled with patrons. We ordered ravioli, ribs, steak, baked sweet potato, cream of chicken soup, corn, loaded baked potato, and salad. The ribs tasted like they had been parboiled and then grilled, but they had a smoke flavor to them--which made it work. They also had been sprinkled with seasoning minx after being cooked and tasted like they were placed in the indoor grill to warm them up before plating them. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. We'll be back!

went there for the first time yesterday and waited to be seated for about 40 minutes. once we got there i ordered a medium rare steak and once it came out it was well done. i showed the server that it was well done and they made me another steak and it came back out rare. if I'm going to a steakhouse and paying the money for my food I expect it to be made right. as we were walking out and paying our tabs the cook came to the front and complaint about why the steak was sent back. I think it was very unprofessional and rude that he did that. My first time experience there was not good food wise but the waiter was very nice and attentive.

It is amazing that this place has been rated 4 stars when it shouldn't be much more than a 1. I've been there many times since this place has opened and every time there has always been an issue. It is purely luck if you happen to get a good waiter or waitress usually they are inattentive or unfriendly. Some of the food served are ok but most is terrible. Everything is always over salted or over basted. The yellow gravy is absolutely gross. And meats are never cooked properly especially hamburger. It is a potential Ecoli poisoning issue when ground beef is served raw and the owner doesn't seem to care or know any better. I will never return to this place again and waste my money.

Amazing food and service. Dianna is the best waitress. Texas burger was the best burger I've ever had (with jalapeño bun) . Amazing bread and butter. Full bar. Crowded but we'll worth it if you have to wait for a table which is usually fast. Nice, clean, and great tables and chairs. Fresh cakes and pies to eat or take out. Plenty of parking. Great hours.

If I lived here this would become a regular! Salad was cold, crisp and made in house not from a bag. Blue Cheese dressing was very good. We each ordered a filet, While we had to send them back to get them cooked a little longer, when we got them back they were delicious. My husband had had quail before so we ordered one quail to split and if you never had quail try it it's delicious! I particularly like the way everything was seasoned. I had asparagus and it was Salty, and buttery and delicious. Total thumbs up for this restaurant, and my husband agreed!

Called 8 minutes before closing to see if it was too late to order to go. The gentleman who answered was super friendly And let us place the order. We got there a little before the food was ready and went inside to pay, then he delivered them to our car. We always love their food and the service is exceptional!

Excellent service! Steak was a perfect medium rare. Asparagus was delicious! Pleasantly surprised... highly recommend.

In town for work. Washed my hands and the bathroom was a little dirty. Trash not thrown out. Ordered a margarita which was decent. Free bread and butter was nice but bread was not warm so it didn't melt the butter when i put it on. Ordered the cajun chicken and shrimp pasta. Was ok, not spectacular. Got cheesecake for dessert. It was average. Strangely it didn't have crust. I prob wouldn't come back if i was in Kingsville.

Steak was way to fatty. Help staff was not that wonderful either. Was told this is the best in the city, but I seriously doubt it. Won't be going back unless I have to. I am now on a quest to find a better steak and staff!

Truth be told the food is not bad. But I've been there 5 times and each time, either I or someone in my party have found a hair in something. No food is worth that. Slim pickins here in kingsville but I'd say skip this one... skipped the photos for your sake. Oh, and you may think the wait staff is wearing a mask, but NO ONE is wearing a mask in the back, and staff drop em the second they get to the back. Seen it every time.

Their Italian dishes are top notch, very god chicken parm. It is my 4 year olds favorite place. I had their ribeye and was not impressed, very fatty and part of it was burnt. I think I'll stick to the Italian food.

Came in with the anticipation you'd place rocks based on reviews and pretty busy parking lot. Getting to front door we crossed the back of restaurant that faces another business, the laundry with aprons was swarming in flies at 7pm. I dismissed that perhaps laundry service is on the way. Got seated pretty quickly. Ordered fairly quickly. The 2 bread rolls were not warm, not fresh. Side salads came pretty quickly. 45 minutes after we ordered we got up to walk out when we saw our server finally on the way to our table. We zig zagged back to our table through the maze of over crowed tables in the very noisy restaurant. He asked us if we still wanted the food as he seemed to understand the wait was really long. We ate... But the shrimp was far from jumbo and it was over fried and tough. The broccoli was also over soaked in some salty type sauce, maybe butter sauce? The tarter sauce was ok. I hate to give bad reviews but I doubt I'll be back when I could have driven to Rivera for awesome Kings Inn shrimp and avocado salad instead.

Staff is great and food is delicious servers are always willing to help with any items u have questions about.

The staff greeted me with smiles when I entered. I was at my table promptly. Jenny was my server and was excellent. I ordered the strawberry salad, and it was fresh and delicious. Thanks again to Jenny and her colleagues for providing me a great Xmas eve meal. I'll be back tomorrow for sure!

Great place for lunch boy or dinner. Love the Flounder, chicken and dumplings is great too.
