Kingwood Boutique Hotel Miri

(Pleasant stay with some drawbacks.) It's our first time staying at this property & we stayed for two nights. Overall it was a good & pleasant stay. Room - The Queen bed seems small, more like a double bed. The bed was not comfortable to sleep in, it was rock hard and gave my husband and I a back ache. Mini fridge - Was switched off and had mould in it. The shower - Handheld shower was small and had weak water pressure. However, the rain shower was great! The front desk reception - Staff were helpful upon check-in and quite polite. The restaurant staff - Polite but seemed a bit overwhelmed even though there weren't many customers. The breakfast - Was limited but tasted ok. Would stay again for the good WiFi connection & the convenient location. But then again there are many hotels nearby as well, probably with much more comfortable beds. 🫣

Overall: A 4 days 3 nights comfortable, modern, and conveniently located boutique hotel with attentive service, slightly let down by parking hassles and a minor service hiccup. The Good: · Excellent Location: Steps away from Permaisuri Imperial Mall and within walking distance to Wireless Walk Miri and convenience stores. · Attentive Service: Received a helpful WhatsApp confirmation before arrival and a welcoming warm towel and fruit juice at check-in. · Spacious & Modern Room: The room was large enough for two and for prayers. Features like the automatic curtain and a bathtub with enjoyable amenities were highlights. · Efficient Operations: Housekeeping was prompt, and the elevator was quick. · Comfortable Lobby: Appreciated the comfortable sofa in the lobby lounge while waiting. The Not-So-Good: · Parking Difficulties: No dedicated hotel parking. Guests must find public parking (difficult, especially during peak times) and purchase coupons from reception. · Minor Service Issue: One receptionist skipped us while we queued for a parking coupon, attending to another guest first without an apology. · Functional Flaw: The sink basin drained very slowly. · View: Our room overlooked the street/lobby entrance with an unremarkable view. · Limited TV channels: With an era of smart TVs, the hotel deserves an upgrade too. Verdict: We had a comfortable and pleasant stay, largely due to the prime location, modern room comforts, and generally good service. However, the parking situation is a significant drawback that could deter a return during peak season. Tip: If you stay, be prepared for the public parking process. It's best suited for guests who prioritize location and in-room amenities over dedicated parking.

From the moment I arrived, the service provided by the hotel staff was warm, professional, and truly satisfying.The staff were very responsive and always willing to help whenever assistance was needed. Their attentive and friendly attitude made the entire stay smooth and enjoyable.The room was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, giving me a real “home away from home” feeling. The overall environment was relaxing and welcoming, allowing me to fully rest and unwind during my stay.I highly recommend this hotel. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby food options, shopping malls, and attractions. The hotel also provided helpful information that made exploring the area much easier.If I have the opportunity to return, I would definitely choose to stay here again and enjoy another wonderful stay.

Stayed here during my business trip to Miri and had a great experience. Staff were very friendly — greeted with welcome drinks and a warm towel upon arrival. Special thanks to Jenny and Khoo for their kind service and help with my room upgrade to a deluxe type. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable for a good night’s rest. Lobby has a pleasant aromatic scent that gives a relaxing feeling. Location is also excellent with many food and mall options within walking distance. Definitely recommend this boutique hotel for both business and leisure stays.

They are kind enough to meet & greet & getting feedback on how is my stay.||The room was beautifully designed, blending comfort and style perfectly. I especially loved the cozy atmosphere, quality bedding, and thoughtful touches that made the space feel special. Everything was spotless and well-maintained.||Breakfast was another highlight — freshly prepared, delicious, and served with such attentiveness. We were warmly welcomed by Ms. Bibina with drinks and towels, a great first impression. The Bonzer Restaurant closed earlier than expected, so we tried room service breakfast instead. The mushroom soup was tasty, though the coffee latte was cold and the pasta too spicy for my like. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained, that I can agree meeting good 3 star standards. Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly service.

Had a great stay here. The staff was very welcoming and even remembered my name since i check-in again after 2 days. The room was spacious, clean, and super comfortable. Very convenient for shopping since the Imperial Mall right opposite and also many eateries available around the hotel. Would definately recommend this boutique hotel for both business and leisure stays.

There’s no other word than awesome! The room was very clean, and the staff were extremely friendly — from the front desk during check-in to housekeeping and the restaurant team. The breakfast was delicious, with an impressive presentation. Truly excellent!
