I booked a room for two nights through Booking.com, thinking it was affordable and well-located. Unfortunately, my experience leads me to think that the management could be voluntarily engaging in deceptive practices to exploit customers who book through Booking.com.||||Upon arrival, they acknowledged my reservation and gave me a room. However, when I checked out, they claimed they "could not see the payment." I showed them proof of payment, but they still forced me to pay again. After months of numerous calls and empty promises from June to September—assurances like "Don't worry, we don't steal from people"—I realized it was possibly deliberate. In the end, I was advised by the receptionist to send an email. When I asked for the email address, I was told they didn’t know it and that I should check the booking details. Conveniently, they also claimed not to speak English well when it came to emails!||||Apart from this, the service was mediocre and not particularly friendly. ||Conclusion: Avoid this place at all costs.||||Special mention: Booking.com's customer assistance was entirely useless, as they subcontract to a company called Bedsonline.com.

Charming is the quintessential word for this place! The experience of staying was personable, charmed and quaint. If you think of staying in a city hotel in southern Europe, this is exactly what to picture. A family owned place through 4 generations, it is very clear from the moment you enter that this is a place that has hosted many travellers. Though the rooms were a little creaky, and wonky, and the airconditioning was fixed to a balmy 24 degrees, the beds were soft, and the breakfast was exquisite 👌 My only complaint for the breakfast was the coffee, which could be improved, but otherwise the breakfast had so many options and was well prepared and fresh! The location of the hotel can't be beat, you are literally in the heart of the city. That said, me and my party had several rooms scattered across the hotel and though my room had the cutest balcony facing the street, I did have some of the bar music filter into my room untill two am. If you are a person who needs complete quiet, you should request a room facing the garden, as the rest of my party had no sounds in their room at night. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. It felt welcoming to stay, and a good base to explore the old town of Paphos.

If you have low expectations, it’s ok. It’s not bad or anything similar. But - toilet window could not be closed - toilet was NOT flushing - towel had orange stains - WiFi was not working in the room - ironing service was - them bringing me an iron which was broken, had no tap and water was coming out - stairs dirty

I had a dreadful experience with that hotel. The pictures posted on their website do not reflect the reality. I booked a room with 2 beds, but got a room with 1 bed too small for 2 persons and with a worn-out matrass. The room was dark, dingy and with a view on an outdoor refuse area It is clearly not a 3-star hotel.|The hotelier and personnel were lackadaisical. |I had to find another hotel on the spot, and I never got my money back.||After my holidays I filed a claim before the European Consumer Centre (ECC). This hotelier never responded to the ECC enquiries. However, the ECC keeps a record of all claims and might investigate at some point.

Worst meal! All food came from local Lidl NOT home cooked as advertised. Even the beer was Lidl cans! Seafood salad still frozen - owner told me I could take it home ‘as seafood is frozen’. No thanks! Shameful place in the middle of really lovely restaurants. Advice - avoid!

I had my wedding reception here 20 years ago. Wonderful memories and fantastic photos in beautiful authentic setting. I've since come back twice to visit. Each time had a very warm welcome from owner George. |Looking forward to visit in the future.

Stayed here for three nights during a brief stay in Paphos and wasn’t disappointed. I was travelling a little before the main holiday season in Cyprus kicks off so the hotel price was very reasonable. It’s an old school kind of place compared to the bigger, flashier hotels down by the coast but that’s not a bad thing.||I found the room clean, spacious and comfortable, with nice atmospheric lighting. There was a bit of noise from the surrounding streets at night but as the hotel is in the town centre this is to be expected and it didn’t spoil my stay. Despite the hotel being relatively old it has all the modern conveniences including WiFi and air conditioning. The bathroom shower was great too.||A particular highlight was the morning breakfast. The food was excellent with a decent selection and you can eat it in a pleasant courtyard which is full of trees and plants.||So, all round a perfect experience and I’d be happy to stay here again.
