The food took a little time to arrive, but it was absolutely worth it! Everything is freshly made to order, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. I had the fried oysters, which were incredibly fresh. The batter was light, crispy, and not greasy at all—perfectly done. The rice was also excellent, with a nice texture that paired well with the fried dishes. If the side dishes were a bit more special, it would be a full 5-star experience. Overall, a very satisfying meal, and I’d love to come back!

This was the most homestyle meal I had in Tokyo. It felt like simple classic home cooked food. The staff who worked here were so sweet and super friendly and very kind! They only have maybe 8 stools so we had to wait just a bit for something to open up. You order and pay first and then wait for a seat if they’re currently all taken. This place seemed to be frequented by locals. I had the braised red miso fish and all the sides were very authentic. The amount of fish is generous. The winter special offering was fried oysters and they came with this most delicious smoky egg salad with some sort of crunchy pickled vegetable in it. The oysters themselves were delicious.

Tried the salmon and mackerel set meal—both were perfectly grilled and flavorful. The fish was fresh, the sides were well-balanced, and the service was great. Will definitely come back!

Highly recommended! Miss 島村 was super friendly to us, and she also speaks super fluent English (Thanks for sharing your story about living in TX before with us😁)! The fish cuisines were really very delicious, even the side dishes were very tasty! Will definitely come back again!

Super delicious miso mackerel stew! Even the bones melt in your mouth! Generous portions with 2 sides. And their rice is so fluffy and fragrant! Have English menu, no trouble ordering in English!

Food was freshly prepared and was filling, high quality and delicious! Menu is focused with four options— their speciality miso mackerel is slightly on the sweeter side, so I’d recommend choosing the hijiki and radish side dishes to balance the meal. Filling, hearty and balanced, it’s a good option in Shibuya for teishoku style meals

Food was very delicious and the staff member made me feel welcomed as a foreigner. I had the miso simmered mackerel which was cooked nicely.

I was suddenly hungry and needed a quick bite before my reservation at Shibuya Sky. Walked by this place and I personally like mackerel so ordered it on a whim. It was great, reminded me of homemade and the sides were good too. Had no idea what sides it came with or ordered, just told them to pick two for me. The people was very kind and service was great. Took no time to receive my food and sit down.
