My sister and I (Canadians, who don’t know Spanish) had the best night out in Mexico here. The music, live entertainment and atmosphere was sooo good. A safe and welcoming environment, we made lots of friends. At the end of the night my sis lost her phone and the staff was so helpful and through in finding it. Highly recommend to check this place out! We also walked home at the end of the night and the area is quite lively.

I think the place is now called MARIKOTECA. Entry fee was 150 a person. But the atmosphere was good and we didn’t get scammed or something with the prices of drinks. We were in there from 23 until 1am and it was already nicely crowded (not overly crowded!). There was a great drag show around 0.00! Over all we loved it 😄

I went with my partner on Saturday night. Nothing kinky about it. A bunch of teen girls screaming their heads off and drag queens performing was not the reason we paid $300 to get in. I was expecting to see men on the stage. Very disappointed. And drinks are pretty high.

First night here since 2021. The bar is very good. Music, service, cute bartenders and dancers. 3 levels. The drag show was fun to watch. The karaoke downstairs was entertaining. I gave it 3 stars because of my experience with the bar. I order a Cuba Libre (Rum and Coke) downstairs and they charged me $120 MXN. I finished it and ordered another on the third floor and they charged me $85 MXN. The price difference suggests that the bottom level overcharges foreigners. Anyway, I still had a good time, but I wanted to make this note

DANGEROUS!! DO NOT GO! I was cornered in the bathroom by security staff demanding I give them my wallet. They threatened to call the police on me and accused me of doing drugs…. I am traveling and don’t do drugs! Three guys surrounded me and screamed at me saying I would face trouble if I didn’t give them my wallet. I’m not easily intimidated so I pushed through them and got my boyfriend and we left while being chased by them. Do not go here. It is a scary and sketchy place.

130 pesos cover just to enter. Went for a friend’s birthday last Friday night. There is karaoke on the 2nd floor, which was fun but they didn’t wait for you to get onstage so the song would start before you were up there and they wouldn’t restart it. Also they closed the list at 3:45am even though they let us put songs on there before they warned us they wouldn’t have time to do the people they had already agreed to do. The top floor has music videos synchronized to the music playing and a scantily dressed man dancing. There’s also a balcony if you want fresh air on either floor. I only went because my friends said to, but I would never go here by choice. Paying a cover (even on a Friday night) makes no sense to me and I’ve been to other places with free/cheaper dancing/karaoke. I don’t drink alcohol so I can’t say if they make good drinks or not, but from what I could see on the menu they seem to cost more than the cover charge to enter. There’s also an employee in the bathrooms so you feel obligated to give more money as a tip for her to squirt soap into your hand and hand you a paper towel.

The staff was on it last night, I lost my phone but they had it. 10/10 vibes & drinks!!

Google
They take all your gasx and advil at the door They bombard you with separate checks for water and alcoholic beverages and then try to scam you with extraneous items on the bill that you didn’t order. Hate it here. Avoid at all costs

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday night at 2200. Cover was 100 pesos to get in. Crowd here doesn't get started until late. Excellent DJ and vibe. A mix of all drinks and white wine!

Yelp
Don't let them haggle you when you first walk in. Just tell them no thanks and get your drinks from the bar. Go after midnight it dose not get going until later. Other wise it's cute

Yelp
The venue is large and nice, and the wait staff are attentive, but Kinky is a surveillance state. The ratio of bouncers to customers is high, and they walk around to let you know you're being watched all the time. If you stand, sit, or walk in the wrong place, they'll be on your back immediately. Doesn't feel like you can really relax here because you're always worried about breaking some unwritten rule.

Yelp
Went here several times throughout our stay in CDMX. Overall had a great time every single night. On one occasion we followed a waiter to a table where he took our drink orders. He returned promptly and I paid cash where I waited over 15 minutes for my change. I then decided to hunt me down and knew exactly what I was coming for so I think he was hoping I would forget. It's unfortunate that the one bad situation is what sticks with you. Every other time I ordered at the bar and paid with card and after this situation I think that's the only way to go.

Yelp
I'm only being generous with 3 stars because of the DJ. She was amazing loved her vibe. Went on a Friday. Paid a door fee and then the haggling began. After we finally declined they basically forgot we existed different from when we walked in they were basically kissing the floor I walked on. 2 bottles for a table with "seats" and it's not the full table you get 1 side someone gets the middle and the other side is for someone else . 3 bottle reservations for a small ass table no thank you Drinks are hella over price and don't taste good. Then they give them to you in some red Big Gulp cups from 7-11 how tacky. This bar is obviously created for a certain type of customer. For being Mexico City this place was really white washed . From what it seems they put all there more European employees as faces of the bar while the real work gets done by the brown raza. This is the nicest gay bar in the strip but I'm from LA so gay bars are up there. Nice didn't do it for me. But everyone one has their own opinion so judge for yourself.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday around 1am with friends and it was packed! There were people everywhere, dancing and drinking. We went upstairs and there was a balcony where people smoked. Music was good. Stayed all the way til 4am closing time and we got tacos near by after!

Yelp
This place sucks. If you are not from here DO NOT COME HERE. We are tourist but we are not dumb, we speak Spanish and know they are trying to screw u over.

Yelp
Kinky is every city's party gay bar. You go there on the tail end of a Friday night during your vacation and swear sideways through your subsequent hangover that you'll never be back.. and then find yourself there the last night before you leave drinking a gallon michelada dancing on stage with shirtless men until one hour before your very early flight. We have all been here. If you're looking for a cover charge, four separate rooms playing house music, and everyone else from out of town also paying for over-priced drinks- definitely come here!

Yelp
Great club. Stopped by on a Friday night and it was busy, small line up front but moved quickly. It's multi level club with great music, a little mix of everything (English. Spanish. Old and new). Did have trouble ordering shots there, bartender seem to not know how to make any.

John S.

Yelp
Weak drinks, way overpriced. Beware! They took advantage of me, and I told them in Spanish how I felt about it. Take it from me, this place sucks ass!

Yelp
I had the unfortunate experience of the credit card vs. cash issue which is a rather familiar theme across bars in Mexico City. Establishments say they accept credit cards, Kinky even has a sign posted outside saying they accept all cards, yet when we got inside we were told cash only. We had an issue with this down the street at another bar so we left immediately.

Yelp
Good music, drinks are what you expect from any regular bar. The crowd is cute and mostly friendly. 80 pesos for a gin and tonic isn't expensive at all. I like both of the floors because they have different types of music and you can choose whichever. Toilets are clean. What more can you want from a gay club? Some people are complaining that it's too crowded. I guess then don't go out? Because good places will always be crowded. I personally am very happy to have found a place like that in Mexico City.

Yelp
Uh, Ay-Papi I had a good time the night I was here. The boys are beautiful, love Americans, and openly invite you into friend groups. Great place to go if you don't know anyone in the city. Tons of cabs out front at closing time. Drinks are a little on the pricey side (still really cheap for those custom to American prices). Micheladas are on point. The upstairs terrace area is where it's at. I will definitely stumble into this place every time I go to MXC.

Yelp
Perhaps one of the best club-style bars I've been to anywhere. Now, don't get me wrong: I've been to a lot of massive clubs, but Kinky is different. It's a bit of everything rolled into one. It has a quieter bar with tables, a karaoke space, and an upstairs terrace that's absolutely packed with people dancing--also an outdoor area on the terrace for smoking that overlooks the Paseo de la Reforma. Huge space, and it's likely to satisfy for whatever sort of night you're looking for. Well worth the 50 peso admission.
