Kinloch Anderson

Started our journey with Kinloch Anderson back in May 2024 when, with my two sons, we decided to design our own tartan, register it, get it woven and have three kilts made for my eldest sons wedding on 14 June 2025. Throughout this complete process, including hiring/buying some jackets/shoes etc we were looked after so well by everyone we connected with at Kinloch Anderson. Extremely helpful, informative, polite and patient with us on every visit and interaction. We are immensely pleased and proud of our tartan and kilts and it was great to show a few photos of the wedding when I took the hired items back! I expect I'll be back soon to buy a jacket/waistcoat! I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Kinloch Anderson. Thank you all so much!!

Excellent service. Ordered a bespoke kilt and jacket with Connor. Can’t wait to go back for the fittings. The store WOULD benefit from a skylight so that too can really see the true colours of the fabrics without having to go outside, and considering the length and time spent on made to measure, offer customers a coffee or a soft drink? Otherwise, sublime.

Hired two full kilts and one jacket-only for a wedding and delighted that we did so from Kinloch Anderson. The initial appointment to pick tartan/jacket/etc and to measure up was incredibly informative yet relaxed and the prices are very reasonable. I was travelling up from Manchester to collect the kilts but encountered some travel problems, and Kinloch Anderson were incredibly flexible for collection/drop-off. The hires on the day looked incredibly smart and I'd highly recommend Kinloch Anderson.

Outstanding service from Kinloch Anderson today. The store was incredibly busy, however the staff were very attentive and made sure we were looked after until they had capacity to deal with us properly. The consultation with then very thorough, but efficient. We left feeling well looked after. Big shout out to Joanna who was outstanding.

We loved this store. It’s in a slightly industrial setting in a pretty unassuming building but the treasures inside! Not cheap but you’re getting actual Scottish made quality. Highly recommend.

When you say my kilt makers also supply King Charles and The Scotland Rugby Team with their clothing, it has a certain ring to it. Phenomenal store with not only the best selection to order a traditional kilt but they also have some very fashionable clothes for everyday wear. The customer service was amazing.

This is the only place to go if you want a bespoke highland dress. Kinloch Anderson specialise in making kilts or trews form scratch.The staff are extremely knowledgable about tartan, the way it should be worn and what you should be wearing. These guys make highland dress for the Royal family. Why not pop in and visit the tartan museum? They have great tartan books with samples of tatran and special orders they have made over the years. They also stock sporrans, quaichs, cufflinks and belts. the have ready made stuff and they do wedding hire or hire for special occasions. Not cheap but great value. Kilts are supposed to last generations not five minutes.

Went here for bespoke kilt for my boyfriend. Staff lovely and kilt great. More expensive than others but excellent quality and the staff know their stuff. Would definitely recommend!
