Kinn Guesthouse (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The word “guesthouse” slightly understates the scale, but it captures the concept: Kinn Guesthouse looks and feels like a perfectly modern design-forward boutique hotel, but with a slightly low-key, all-suite residential vibe. This means a self-guided check-in with no traditional front desk, and a set of fully stocked kitchens for guest use." - Tablet Hotels

Great stay an Kinn Bay View! Nice neighborhood. Very walk friendly, lots of options, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also lovely restaurant downstairs. Beware there are stairs! Close enough to 3rd Ward and downtown/riverwalk. Room was well appointed. Wonderful linens and shower. Common area was very nice. Everything you needed was provided and available; coffee, half and half. Attention to detail…professional kitchen to use. Will highly recommend to family and friends. Look forward to our next stay.

I booked a room at the Bay View location with two friends to share because the hotel was otherwise fully booked. We were pleasantly surprised at how roomy and comfortable the room was for the three of us. Major points for the Ursa bath products in the bathroom. I went and bought the hand soap from Ursa’s shop across the street! The hotel is very clean and there’s a big beautiful shared kitchen for all the rooms to use. It reminded me of a fancy hostel. Only down side to that though is I was up around 7:45 and there was only one pod of coffee left so we split it three ways. This is where I think Kinn loses one little star. It’s a very, very self serve hotel. There’s no front desk or staff on sight so communication is done all by text. Whoever received the text thanked me for letting them know they were outta coffee and said someone would be there soon to drop some off but I’m not sure that ever happened. We left around 10am and there still wasn’t coffee stocked in the kitchen. Also, when I went to book the hotel initially I called to reserve a room and the rep told me she wasn’t sure how to do that and it’s best to book online. Safe to say if you’re used to a very hands on approach from your hotel, this might not be best for you. Perfect for the Airbnb type of travelers, though, used to a self serve experience. Overall the hotel is cool and the location is really what makes it a steal. I’d stay again but pack my own coffee stuff :)

Very awesome building with great architecture and style. There are several steps to get into the rooms. There is no elevator, so be prepared to haul all of your luggage up a few flights. My husband and I stayed here for two nights, attending a family function. The bed was very comfy, however we would have really appreciated a headboard, as there was a large gap between the bed and the wall and there was no way to prop up to watch tv. There was only one chair in the room, not another area to sit, so having a bed to sit up in would have been great. Also, needed a larger trash can, there was only one tiny one in the bathroom. The other negative was the bathroom lighting was really low. Beautifully remodeled and tastefully done, with a wonderful walk in shower. Nice large sink with two sconces, but unfortunately they were so dimly lit that I had to use a portable mirror and sit by the window to do my makeup. This may sound petty, but it was really inconvenient. Also, would have loved to see an ice machine in the common area kitchen, instead of bagged ice. There are so many positive things about this property, the location, the style, comfortable beds etc. I hate to say anything negative, but this an honest review .

We booked a king suite. The room was clean, spacious, chic, and had everything you could possibly need. Would have left a 5 star review, but I woke up to a text message from midnight to keep it down and to be mindful of other guests (we were in bed asleep by 9...). While I appreciate they expect their guests to be respectful, I don't appreciate being accused of something I didn't do- especially when the people above us were stomping around and slamming stuff all night and we said nothing because we were accepting of the fact this place is more of a hostel and that we would be sharing the space with others. I then went and read the reviews and the very hostile, unprofessional responses from the owner. Put a bad taste in my mouth, not sure I'd stay here again.

We loved our stay at this charming little inn in Milwaukee! It’s small, quaint, and wonderfully quiet—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The location couldn’t be better; we were within easy walking distance to plenty of great restaurants as well as beautiful Lake Michigan. Everything felt warm and welcoming, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the city!

The Inn is located in a great part of the city with tons of local trendy restaurants and close proximity to the Bay. It is a boutique hotel that is clean, comfortable and rooms that are very spacious. The bathroom had a classic clean look and the room had high ceilings and lots of space. The decor is very cool and included a piece of art from a local artist. The process for self-serve check in was seamless and communication was excellent. They gave us a unique code that allowed us access to all the doors we needed.

I love it here! Such a beautiful building, artsy and in my fave neighborhood in MKE. I would definitely book again. Just a note: I am sensitive to artificial laundry detergent smells and the laundry smelled too strong for me. Also, if you are needing to work from the hotel, you probably won't get strong enough service and could go to a coffee shop down the hill. I'm guessing this is just because of those beautiful cream city brick walls though:)
