When in attendance for any film at this particular cinema, you will be walking in history. Built in 1961-1963 Kino International is a Berlin gem for all film and architecture enthusiasts alike. Located in east Berlin all Russian influence can be noticed but there is beauty in the design of former communist area. Today Kino International does carry a historic landmark status and yes there is a concession stand. The movie I saw in the theatre was The Zone of Interest to a sold out show. Sound and picture quality were amazing. Run do not walk in Berlin to check out this historic site.

Beautiful old east german movie theater. I have been there many times the last years, but it's currently closed for some needed repairs. I hope it will keep its original and unique style and it will be much appreciated if the Yorck Group will reduce a bit their aggressive and flashy marketing and let this place shine by itself. You own the prestigious theater in Berlin, no need to be too fancy.

To me, one of the most charming cinema in Europe. Doesn’t matter if it is not the most updated one: the sound could be better, the seats more comfortable, the screen more futuristic... no. Kino international is a experience, like driving a old Aston Martin. Just beautiful.

It’s one of my favourite Kino in Berlin. I go to the cinema running by Yorck a lot. But I just knew they don’t offer a senior ticket. There was an old lady wanted to see a movie in this lovely cinema yesterday, but she was disappointed after find out the price is too expensive.I felt so sorry for her. I believe a good cinema,a good company is responsible to bring joy for everyone. Moreover, there’s no stable WiFi.When I asked the lady work in the bar yesterday…She just answered me”Sorry,if the password doesn’t work,it meant it doesn’t work tonight…” I was a bit disappointed yesterday after all these things happened. I know the company probably won’t check this comment and try to improve their service at all,but I really hope there’s still a chance to tell them.

A classic, big screen cinema with a nostalgic entrance hall on ground floor. Foyer on second floor offer a great view onto Berlin TV tower. Movies are show in original version in an all refurbished auditorium with comfy chairs.

Single screen theatre - the hall is neat with comfortable seats and old school aesthetic. Watched Oppenheimer here. They could show English subtitles though.

Amazing cinema. It’s got a different vibe: the old-style entry, the bar facing Karl Marx Allee and its old communist (plattenbau) buildings, the central room with its long courtains... The image and sound quality is good. Only “but is the inclination of the room: if you have someone tall in front of you, you view may be partially blocked. Tickets can be bought in advance in its website (0,50€ plus).

Yelp
Hmmm I was really torn in how many points to give. The theater is one of those really cool DDR buildings and looks amazing inside. It only had one screening hall, but that one is huge. The waiting area has amazing chandelirs and just brings you back into a different era. The reason why I am only giving 3 points is, because the bathrooms are simply disguisting, they are old and smell, so try not to use the bathroom here. Secondly, the entire theater is pretty dusty and since I am allergic to dust it is a problem for me. The interior of the theater is really nice though.

Yelp
My favorite cinema in the world since the original Metropolis in Hamburg was torn down. Fantastic building, it's has its own unmistakeable soul. Whenever I'm in Berlin I try to take in a film there.
