Located in the heart of Gibbston, Kinross also features a Cellar Door and a winery Bistro. The property offers studio cottage rooms, all positioned for guests to enjoy the tranquility and surrounding views. All air-conditioned accommodations will provide you with free WiFi, a flat-screen TV and a kitchenette. The large private bathrooms come with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Kinross is the official Cellar Door for 5 boutique wineries which Central Otago has to offer, including Hawkshead, High Garden, Kinross, Valli and Wild Irishman. All of our in house guests are invited to join us for a complimentary hosted wine tasting, guided by an internationally qualified wine adviser which will take place at 4.30pm on an evening of your choice. The onsite bistro serves a generous selection of delicious seasonal meals, snacks, platters, as well as a kids menu, there is something for everyone at Kinross. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing food, exceptional service, and a perfect anniversary experience! Maria and Renee provided top-notch service, making us feel so welcome. The pizza was delicious, the lamb shanks were tender and flavorful, and the green salad was crisp and refreshing. We paired everything with a lovely wine that complemented the meal perfectly. For dessert, the affogato was the perfect end to our meal. To top it all off, they surprised us with a sweet treat for our wedding anniversary! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a fantastic experience at Kinross Winery! The food and wine were absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding — everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Rommel, Maria, and Stosh for their amazing service. Stosh even went out of his way to organise a little birthday dessert plate, which made the day extra special. Highly recommend Kinross for great wine, great food, and even better people! 🍷✨

Stayed here for an anniversary weekend, and could not recommend it more. Kinross was the perfect balance of laid back and attentive, and we felt well looked after the whole time we were there. Situated amid the beautiful vineyards of the Gibbston Valley, you’re close to some of the best wineries the region has to offer (including the ones Kinross represent), and if you get them to sort e-bikes for you your options are even wider. Also their wine club is just about the best value club in NZ, just saying :)

🍷 Exceptional Wine Tasting with Francesco and Martial I’ve experienced many wine tastings over the years, but none compare to the ones hosted by Francesco and Martial. I came back on two separate occasions, and each time was absolutely outstanding. Their deep wine knowledge, warm hospitality, and ability to explain everything—from grape varieties to tasting techniques—made the experience truly unforgettable. As someone with a background in wine tasting, I can confidently say this was by far the best I’ve ever had. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, and their passion for wine shines through in every moment. If you’re looking for a wine experience that’s both educational and deeply enjoyable, this is it. Highly recommended!

We had the best time over the last couple of days. Staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. Abbri looked after us both visits and was just lovely. Rommel and Julian were also great. The mushroom pizza may be the best I’ve had ever. Highly recommend!

The wine tasting was very interesting and delicious, Melissa was most helpful and well informed, I had a wonderful experience. At the restaurant I also had a wonderful experience. Tasted some very exotic combinations. The lamb shack was incredibly delicious and the rest of the food as well. Renée was lovely and most helpful. I recommend this place 100%.

Amazing service and a fantastic wine experience! Josh was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout our visit. He took the time to guide us, offered personalised recommendations, and his suggestions were absolutely spot on. He created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere that made the tasting even better. Wonderful place, and Josh made it exceptional!
