Kinross is the official Cellar Door for 5 boutique wineries which Central Otago has to offer, including Hawkshead, High Garden, Kinross, Valli and Wild Irishman. Me and my family had an amazing time at Kinross Winery & Cellar Door. We booked a classic wine tasting session, and our host, Francesco, was absolutely fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the history and stories behind every wine we tasted, which made the experience even more special. After the tasting, we enjoyed a beautiful lunch paired with some of Kinross’ popular wines. The seating area was stunning, the atmosphere relaxing, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the vineyard, highly recommend visiting Kinross for a memorable wine and dining experience! 🍷✨

We had an amazing lunch at Kinross Winery. The setting is beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious, and the wines were outstanding. Every dish we ordered was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The service made the experience even better. David, the manager, and his team were incredibly attentive and made us feel very welcome. Rommel from the wine store impressed us with his knowledge and gave us excellent wine recommendations to pair with our meals. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and I highly recommend Kinross to anyone visiting Queenstown. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband, young adult son and I spent two nights on the beautiful Kinross Vineyard grounds in a lovely one room cottage. The cottage was well and tastefully furnished; bed was very comfortable - sheets and towels high quality. They provided a roll away bed for our son. Each day they provide a lovely box filled with breakfast goodies such as farm fresh eggs, yogurt, granola, baked goods and fruit. The coffee was excellent - fresh cream provided as well. We ate charcuterie at the lovely outdoor terrace restaurant and had the delicious brick oven pizza and salad for dinner one night. We also partook of a private wine tasting which was incredibly interesting and informative about the relatively new wine industry in the Lake Otago region. |I chose to stay there as a unique experience and also to be out of the fray of Queenstown. The winery is about a 35 minute drive into Queenstown and about a 25 minute drive to the airport. Very conveniently located. Also just down the road from the bungee jumping! The staff, including our server at the cafe and the sommelier who provided our wine tasting, were very congenial, knowledgeable and solicitous. All in all, a great experience that I would recommend highly!

We stopped in for a wine tasting this morning and had such a great time. Emmaline was amazing and gave a talk about the wines, where they were from, who made them, and how. She was very knowledgeable and professional. We were so impressed we bought one of the bottles and then headed to the bistro for some nibbles. Another great experience, all of the waitstaff were friendly and our server, Matisse, was particularly chatty and charismatic, making sure we had a great time. Abbri also made sure we were taken care of and happy.The food was exceptional (highly recommend the foccacia with the kiwi dip, and the charcuterie board- special mention with the salmon pate) The grounds are immaculate and gorgeous. Great wine, great food, great people. Thanks Kinross Winery! We'll be back.

Kinross hosted our large group for a wonderful Sunday lunch. Catering for large groups (40 people) can be difficult, as quality of food and service can decline rapidly, not at Kinross! The staff were exceptional right from our greeting, they were attentive to all guests, friendly and fast. The food was absolutley wonderful! The setting outside under vines was perfect, all of our guests were incredibly happy and thoroughly impressed! Couldn't give enough praise to Kinross' staff!

Amazing experience at Kinross Winery! Cathy, the cottage host, was incredibly warm and welcoming — the cottage was spotless, beautifully prepared, and felt like a home away from home. Her personal care made our stay truly special. Renée, the Duty Manager, was outstanding: professional, friendly, and always attentive. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The winery itself is stunning and the wines are excellent — beautifully crafted and a joy to taste. Exceptional hospitality all around. Highly recommended!

We went here after doing the bike ride from Arrowtown & I could think of a more ideal spot to park up & relax in luxury. We booked beforehand and upon arriving our waitress said we could sit anywhere we wanted. We chose a shaded picnic table on the grass with mountain views. You order via the QR codes on the table which makes things very easy. We got the focaccia with olive oil & homemade kiwi dip to start. Oh my god that dip was special! So deliciously creamy, they could sell it on its own! For mains we shared the lamb shank and beef cheek. It was difficult to pick a favourite, both were cooked to absolute perfection. The accompanying veges & sauces were also very tasty. We were in a bit of a rush due to another booking later in the day. We told this to a waiter and very kindly himself & the kitchen were able to organise our food to come out at lightening speed. I really appreciate the extra effort that went into accommodating for this. Such a great venue. We had a brilliant time and I'd highly recommend to anyone travelling to the region

We booked an overnight stay and it was a fabulous experience. We booked in for lunch , our waiter was Julian who was very helpful and explained everything to us, we chose the chefs choice recommended by him , absolutely superb ,3 courses of heaven...and the wine flight expertley paired. We were checked in at reception by a lovely lady called Kathy , she was amazing , explained everything to us. The room was gorgeous , fab bed ,bathrobes , lovely breakfast hamper in the fridge and wine and snacks if we wished to buy. The wine tasting was excellently presented by a young american man whose name escapes me... we used the hot tub and sat in the wonderful gardens.Truly a little piece of heaven has been created here for great wine and great food lovers.
